Imade the printer move faster and know its working but I would like to know what the problem is so I could slow it down and get better quality printsby soaring eagle - Printing
when i go to print something it doesn't extrude so if i puase it and pull the filament out and cut the end off when i put it back in and tell the printer to extrude it will extrude has much as i want but if i resume the print it stops working and i have to do it agianby soaring eagle - Printing
my printer as been working perfectly ever since i bought the e3d hotend and high quality filament until today plastic stop coming out from the hotend the extruder wouldn't push it threw put if i took it off i could push it though put it is very difficult so i took it apart and got some plastic taken out of it so i could push it in easily so i put it on the printer and plastic came out so i starteby soaring eagle - Printing
i have the simpe version of pronterface but i keep onhearing of expert mode and the options it has but i cant find it so i was wondering how to get it could anyone please help me get it thanksby soaring eagle - General
i found out the problem is that some places onthe belt are catching so it skips if you hit those places it skipsby soaring eagle - Printing
my belts are not slipping I've watched them during several prints I think my current is to low.by soaring eagle - Printing
no i dont but i can try to get oneby soaring eagle - Printing
my x axis keeps on shifting to the right and it will shift several times in one layer several mm at a time and it only happens on prints bigger than 50 mm the belt was sliding kind of rough in some places so i fixed the belt alignment but it didn't help it I've messed with belt tension it doesn't do anything to affect it or make it better or worse I have messed with the current and took it up anby soaring eagle - Printing
turn it on today and it works dont now what was wrongby soaring eagle - Printing
yes i do but i cant change the baud cause i cant download new software to it eithrerby soaring eagle - Printing
my printer wont let me connect to it and i cant upload new firmware to it also if i look on the control panel in the computer it says the ardinino board is installed and working but it wont let me connectby soaring eagle - Printing
okay thanks for the suggestion but I have tried to turn the current up and down but it keeps on running coldby soaring eagle - Printing
they are tight i got the wavy issue fixxed by slow it down even more but it turns out the x axis is still jumping do you know how to fix thatby soaring eagle - Printing
I am biulding a reprap i2 i got it or so i thought but it turned out i can only print smaller than 40mm and they also turn out wavy on both the x and y axis any suggestionsby soaring eagle - Printing
The Problem was the hotend wasn't secure so I fixed that the lines on the x axis are smooth going up but the y axis still goes one way so I started to mess with the current Agian on it and it then started to go the other direction so I just need to spend some time adjusting the current I'm planning on switching the wiring around to make the motor go the other way so it should make it start shiftby soaring eagle - Reprappers
Ok thanks I will try to post some pictures later today I'm busy right nowby soaring eagle - Reprappers
Ok thanks the hotend is loose in it so I will try to secure that but I slowed it down and that helped a lot probably because its not wobbling has much and for some reason it won't let me post picturesby soaring eagle - Reprappers
I have just finished my biulding my printer I got it all calibrated but when I go to print something it will shift over and then it will go up from that point but the edges of the print will be bumpy and rugged like it slightly shifting over and then back I have watched the belts and I don't think they are slipping and I have adjusted the stepper motor current and I can make it worse but I can'tby soaring eagle - Printing
I built my reprap and calibrated it all but when ever I print something it will shift over the bigger the print the more it shifts and it usely shifts once and then will biuld from thier but after that the edges turn out bumpy like it is slightly shifty then going back I've looked for the belts sliping and they don't seem to be I've been missing with the current to the stepper motor current to seby soaring eagle - Reprappers
My problem was that my hotend wasn't hot enough to fully melt the plastic so it would slip on the filament so I turn the temperature up to 200 to 210 I'm am using blue glow in the dark pla filamentby soaring eagle - Printing
I've been having the same problem thanks for the suggestion I'll try it outby soaring eagle - Printing
It is the same design has a all metal hotend from e3d.comby soaring eagle - Printing
It is an all metal jhead hotend I got from ebay it is an excellent hotend along the lines of the melt zone, the printer I'm building is a reprap iretation 2 with a wades geared extruder on it the controller is a generation 7 electronics and I'm using the computer to print from.thanks for all of the help.by soaring eagle - Printing
Have have been messing around with it slot and I found out that if I print a part without infill it prints fine most of the time it still stops sometimes but if it has infill and it stops if I pause the print and try to extrude plastic I usually have to push on it for a little sometimes I don't does anyone know what's wrong.by soaring eagle - Printing
The only thing I haven't done is check the current on the extruder motorby soaring eagle - Printing
It does happen when switching between the two it usually stops during the infill and will start again during the perimeter but sometimes it won't print the perimeter for a while and I have done all the calibration and I looked at every link to make sure I didn't miss anything. Thanks for all the helpby soaring eagle - Printing
Would it be the extruder skipping steps or the x axis skipping steps causing to much vibrations.and what do you mean by splitting the difference.by soaring eagle - Printing
I bought an all metal hotend and it works great it doesn't jam after every print like my last one but the only issue is it kind of stops letting plastic out but then later on it will start again it happens more when it is going fast but I slowed it down a lot but when its doing the infill it still goes fast and its gets messed up there I don't know if it is the extruder the hotend or maybe its jby soaring eagle - Printing
Ok thanks those hotends look great I wish I knew about them from the beginning but I think I'm going to see what else I can do before I spend the money on one.by soaring eagle - Reprappers
