I've tried the buildtak sheets. They work very well i get good adhesion with abs at much lower bed temperature 50-70c with little to no warp. FTIR analysis of the buildtak sheet showed it is Polycarbonte. If you have access to PC sheeting you can make your own buildtak surface.by The_Ross_ - Reprappers
I'm pretty new to the reprap world but some things you might consider looking into: Make sure you have a good power supply connection Tune you stepper drivers "vref" to make sure the motors are getting the right amount of current Experiment with acceleration and max travel speed in firmware and computer UI Good luck!by The_Ross_ - Prusa i3 and variants
Thanks Dave, the feed back i much appreciated. -Rossby The_Ross_ - Ormerod
Do you power the RAMPS from the same 30amp PSU? I just purchased my first 3d printer kit and am trying to decide on a PSU. I'd like to power the RAMPS and heat bed from the same PSU but don't want to fry anything in the process. Did you have to take any special precautions with your setup?by The_Ross_ - Ormerod
Forgive me if this is an ignorant question but assuming you could find a powerful enough PSU, would it be possible to power the printer and heated bed from the same unit? Or would you expect to fry the motherboard trying to pass through that much current? If it is possible what amperage do think you would need?by The_Ross_ - Prusa i3 and variants
