Hey all, I have been having some thermal runaway issues on my lasts few prints... Would just wake up and there would be a thermal runaway error with ZERO information. I went ahead and started the print again, this time logging it in repitor host incase anything happend... Sure enough, before the print itself really started it errored out. Quoteiamquestar Quotejabu32 Got Octoprint working....LOVE IT! Excellent! I have really appreciated the ease it gives me, not to mention, I can initiate a print from the bedroom using my phone (I did this last night when I realized I had forgotten to start it). Quoteiamquestar Quoteav8r1 So the display works when the USB cable is plugged into your laptop, but not when unplugged. I bet the 5v regulator on your board has gone. I know I harp on that a lot, but it's been a BIG issue with me, and if you do ANYTHING wrong with the machine, that regulator will let the smoke out. Quotemrbill Bit the bullet, ordered the kit, the 2004 LCD, and the extension cable for the LCD. I'll either buy a better Arduino and RAMPS (links/suggestions encouraged) before I build it, or expect to have to do that at some point. My arduino from ft has worked great! QuoteLancelotL Has anyone ever tried to run multiple FT2020s off the same computer to print the same thing? I would think it would be easy to do, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it. Is there a USB splitter that would make this possible? I would just reccomend getting a cheap sd card reader for the printer and run it off of the gcode from a sd card. QuoteWilberMaker Thanks for the help guys. Only had a little time to play with it yesterday. The head will still not go to bed center for homing Z. Strange thing is when I give it (G1 x100) the head moves very slow with funny sound and only travels about half the distance. the display shows x at 100 but it is not in center. Same thing happens with Y. However, it will home Z in this position. Theby UltiFix - Prusa i3 and variants

QuoteKeary123 I finally found some more time to work on my printer. I just switched my autoleveling sensor from the right side of the extruder to the left side. QuoteGuruJoe QuoteToxic0n 2) My makeshift filament guides are not great - I can see them flexing under force when the print head moves. Quoteflatlander QuoteUltiFix So im assuming I connect ground to ground and 5v to the D9 pin? check out: Apologies, if I misread the question or missed the sarcasm. D9, a PWM, output pin(s) has a positive pin and a negative pin. Isn't D9 12-35V? Most of us are running 12V setups. I think these 40 mm cooling fans are also rated 12V.
