@obewan, thanks for the suggestion but after changing the settings as you recommended, there was no change.by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello, I purchased a Einsy Rambo a while back and I've struggled to get it working. The most recent development was that I've been able to get the X & Y axis to move manually without any issues, but when I attempt to home the x axis the motor just resonates. I've made several adjustments to homing feedrates from 300 down to 200mm/m to 100mm/m and up as high as 350mm/m with out any perceiveby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
For anyone following this and having issues with a LCD. I did receive an email linking this post from Ultimachine tech support: Changing the ultralcd config file has solved the LCD issue. I'll report back if they have any suggestions for my motor problem. Lorenby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
So this morning I was able to get the x axis to home. Once I started to work on the sesorless endstop settings the LCD went blank. I just sent the vendor an email asking for a replacement. I’ll post updates as I get them. Thanks again! Lorenby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Maybe I need to switch tactics. Can someone tell me which commands in the firmware are responsible for how quickly each axis travel to home when a home command is sent?by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
I really do appreciate all of your help, but this is getting super frustrating. This morning I moved the X axis through pronterface. The acceleration was set to 200/s2. I changed the acceleration to 300/s2 but the motor just resonated and didn't move the head. So I changed the acceleration back to 200/s2 but when I did there the head wouldn't move, it just resonated. I decided that I didn'by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
After more reading I understand why you are confused. I've made some adjustments. They are as follows: * Default Max Acceleration (change/s) change = mm/s * (Maximum start speed for accelerated moves) * Override with M201 * X, Y, Z, E0 [, E1[, E2[, E3[, E4]]]] */ #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {1000, 1000, 30, 2000} //my orig settings: { 3000,by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteo_lampe That looks weird... I think we have to go back to square one: Check the powersupply and the power wires. I did check polarity on both the power supply and einsy board. Both are wired correctly. I also measured voltage at 12.5v at the einsy input. Quoteo_lampeCheck the drivers position and orientation on the Einsy. Ok so I went through and updated the ramps test pins from pins_EinsyRambo.h. This is what happened after the file upload finished: TestVideo. After I unplugged the power supply and restarted the board the motors didn’t move or even make any noise which is curious to me.by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
What kind of information would be helpful? This is the kit that I have: It did work with the ramps 1.4, but when I saw some of the functionality of the einsy I wanted to upgrade it for that controller. I'll definitely go through the pins file and adapt the test file accordingly, see what I come up with, and report back. Thanks you for all of your suggestions and help @o_lampe!by lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoteo_lampe Those LCDs ribbon cables are in the right socket and in the right orientation? Many people had to cut off the nose on their cable connectors and reverse the plug. IDK if Rambo has an issue with that, but some other boards do... Thanks! Clipping the index nub off and flipping the cables around the other way did the trick. The display now works. I’ve been struggling with my einsy Rambo board and need some help. I used to have a ramps 1.4 connected and the printer ran with that. After I connected the Rambo I’ve been successful in moving the head manually without any problems. The problem comes when I try and home either the x or the y axis. Both x & y axis will make a grinding noise when a home command is sent to the printer. Tonby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Thank you @o_lampe! I did slow down the feed rate in the software I'm running and that did the trick. Now I'm stuck on getting the homing to work. I've tried to match all of the manual settings that seem to work within pronterface to the firmware settings in marlin. When I click the home button for the x or y axis the motors simply resonate and don't go anywhere. Have I missed something somby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello, I recently purchased the Einsy Rambo from Ultimachine. I think I've gotten the X and Y axis motors tuned and ready for a test print. My problem is the Z axis. I have continual grinding noise (I think Thomas Sanladerer refers to what I'm experiencing as resonance). Here are my current settings: #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION { 150, 100, 30, 2000 } /** * Default Accelerationby lorenjz - Prusa i3 and variants

Ok, Step one is good now. I've been using the check geometry command with success. I've also checked the box in CraftWare "Use old Gcode viewer" which seems to have helped with the weirdness with Craftware. Now if only I could get the laptop interfacing with my printer to cooperate I think I would be doing a lot better. Hello I've been using a prusa i3 that I built around christmas time. Now I'm trying to print bigger and more complex things and the software that I've been using is starting to cause some issues. My current workflow is to design in FreeCAD and then use Slic3r within Repetier. A couple of parts that I've been working on didn't print so well with Slic3r's support, so I started to do some reseaby lorenjz - 3D Design tools
Hello, I've been having a problem with my Y axis hanging up I think. I wanted to confirm my findings with someone who has a little more experience than I do. Apparently the vendor shipped a wrong part with my kit. He will be shipping out new stuff today. Thanks for the help! Lorenby lorenjz - Reprappers
I think that I've narrowed the issue down a bit. I swapped thermistors and realized that the bed thermistor is reading 0. My bed came assembled with a wiring harness attached. Any thoughts on what I could do to check the thermistor? Thanks, Lorenby lorenjz - Reprappers
I've been trying to dig a little deeper. I found this diagram of the ramps board. When I turn on the fan the appropriate indicator comes on. When I turn on the hotbed nothing happens with the LED. Any ideas? I'll keep digging too.by lorenjz - Reprappers
Quotedougal1957 Depending on Firmware you may have to enable the heated bed as well I'm using the Marlin Firmware and uploading it using the Arduino IDE. I didn't see anything that led me to believe the bed hadn't been enabled, but I'll double check to be sure.by lorenjz - Reprappers
Yes, I just metered at the terminal screws and both sets of wires are showing 11.8V. Also both connections look to be secure.by lorenjz - Reprappers
Hello, My wife gave me a Prusa i3 for christmas. I've assembled it and tried to print last night but I've found out that the hot bed isn't heating. When I looked into it further I noticed that there isn't any voltage going to the hotbed. What should the resistance of the thermistor be? Should I have to set anything in the firmware?
