Hello everyone, This is just a general question. I'm not saying I have a problem, I'm only asking out of curiosity. To calibrate my extruder, I will remove my Bowden tube from my hotend assembly, then send "G1 E100 F120". I will then use my calipers and measure what came out. I will do this 10 times, then average the results. I will take that value, then figure out the percentage of how off I aby iamturbo1978 - General
Ok, I will try that tonight. Hopefully it works.by iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone, I've been trying for a couple days now to upgrade from V1.1.8 to V2.0, but I haven't been able to compile it because the file name is to long. I've done some google searching, and I've done some of the suggestions (the ones I can understand). Like completely removing the Arduino IDE, and reinstalling it in a different location (C:\Ardunio), and placing the Marlin folder as as maiby iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello, I am trying to figure out what are the current tangible benefits for upgrading from V1.1 to V2.0, using the same 8-bit hardware. From what I have found is that LIN_ADVANCE has been changed to work better. I know V2.0 is setup to run on 32-bit hardware, and that in it self would be a large tangible improvement, since V1.1 does not have 32-bit support. But that is not the purpose of thisby iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone. I have an Azteeg X3 PRO motherboard, with a Viki 2 LCD display. Currently I have 6, TMC2130 stepper drivers installed. All of the drivers are using the SPI interface to set the parameters. I would like to upgrade to 8, TMC2130 stepper motor drivers. But I have ran out of I/O pins (that are provided by pin headers) to control the additional TMC2130 chip select lines. I have a veryby iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone, I wanted to change my firmware from Marlin-1.1.4 to Marlin-1.1.6, but it will not compile (cant remember the error). So I decided to use the most current (downloaded today) "bugfix-1.1.x". Everything works from what I can tell so far, except my Viki2 display only shows a white screen. I did not change any hardware or connections, and I did not "copy and paste" files from Marlin-1by iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone, I have been looking on google for a while, what PWM frequency does the part fan run at? But I cant find answer. I am designing a closed loop speed control circuit, The circuit needs a steady input voltage, so the op-amp can do its thing. So I am adding a low pass filter before the circuit. It would be nice to know the PWM frequency so I dont have to hunt and peck to find the valuby iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Thank you Roxy, That at least gives me an idea where I should start. Im not afraid to code, just I am not good at it at all.by iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Hello everyone, I am trying to change the current Reprap discount display (20x4) display, to a Noritake CU24043-Y1A, VFD display. I like the look of VFD, and I have had this display for a few years now. I do not have any concern about the hardware setup, but I am having trouble with changing the marlin firmware to control the display. I am not looking for anything special, just the same stuff thby iamturbo1978 - Firmware - Marlin
Also, where are the “port settings”? I want to make sure that they are set correctly. The settings my firmware is set to are: Baud = 115200 Bits = 8 Parity = none Stop bit = 1 I am assuming that the settings would not be changed, since this is the most common settings.by iamturbo1978 - Repetier
Thank you for the reply. That is what I was thinking from the start. But then I remembered, right now my firmware does not care about the line number (that will be addressed at a later date) I can use a serial termminal program. Type “N1 M110” then hit enter, and I will get on the screen “OK” that came from my MCU. I downloaded ReplicatorG – 0040 and with it set to “machine type” Teacup(115200by iamturbo1978 - Repetier
Hello all, I am trying to learn how to program, and I figured the best way is to create my own firmware. Everything was going great until the 0.90 update. I cannot communicate with repetier after the update. Before the update, I could turn on/off the ATX power supply, adjust the fan, and control the steppers, ECT… But now it will not even connect. I have checked the baud rate, made sure I am inby iamturbo1978 - Repetier

Hello all, I am trying to program my own microcontroller that will work with Repetier. I am using Parallax’s Propeller (Prop) to learn on, and to make something I think is really cool. But I am having a problem, I am trying to get to get the Prop to communicate with Repetier, but it will not. I can use a HyperTerminal program, type A G-code and it works. But when I use Repetier, I get nothing. Iby iamturbo1978 - Repetier
