I'm a little confused so my delta does about 4 Iteration's so after that's done I assume I store the settings? So maybe I'm missing something how would I know my offset?by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
OK I think I might of fixed it.. ever seen a 0.4 mm nozzle be the wrong size? I looked at the brass and the steel one side by side that's when I get curious.by MikeCL - Printing
I print at 219 I went all the way to 230 and it still did it.. the motor does not get hot at all not even warm.. I wonder if I need to raise the voltage when I upgraded the drivers the only one where I did not change the voltage was the extruder.by MikeCL - Printing
So my extruder has been clicking.. I was wondering what was going on the first layer was ok then second layer it was under-extruding like crazy I tried everything.. replaced the nozzle the boden tube and all.. so one day I was like I leveled my bed over 5 times so I lowered the bed enough so the nozzle was printing in the air and to my surprise the extruder was still clicking as if it was too cloby MikeCL - Printing
Wow finally got it after 4 hours lol I got it with the servo pins I wantedby MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
QuoteRoberts_Clif When I started working with filament run-out could Never get the Stock filament run-out pin to work correctly. What I did was to use Z-Max end-stop pin 19 and change the my code in configuration.h below. #define FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR #if ENABLED(FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR) #define NUM_RUNOUT_SENSORS 1 // Number of sensors, up to one per extruder. Define a FIL_RUNOUT#_PINby MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
Page 9 here shows the pinouts since my board is flipped 180 my plug is in the D11 so what pin is that? I assume servo 2 pin 4? Because in the pins.h I assume the #define FIL_RUNOUT1_PIN FIL_RUNOUT_PIN the number goes after?by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
yeah the config file I had did not have the pins.h file but I assume I saw one in the dir so I moved it over to where the others show and it's in the tab nowby MikeCL - Controllers
This filament sensor is kicking my butt lol I don't see where I can pick the pins (my board MKS gen l V1.0) I have the white sensor with the small LED inside I switched the pin around since red should be 5+ and black GND and white the signal I just don't know which pins it's looking for if that's the case.by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
I'm on 2.0.5.3 right now I'm ok with this for right now not sure what the other versions add or take away.by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
I'm trying to setup my filament runout sensor and I have it setup in marlin but I dont see where it says what servo pin I should be using?by MikeCL - Controllers
I'm still trying this out since I upgraded to the new Marlin version Im running the delta calibration I'm at Iteration:5 and it seems to just go over and over again not stopping is this normal?by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
I got it! I had an old version of Marlinby MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
QuoteRoberts_Clif In configuration_adv.h under #define ADVANCED_PAUSE_FEATURE /** * Advanced Pause * Experimental feature for filament change support and for parking the nozzle when paused. * Adds the GCode M600 for initiating filament change. * If PARK_HEAD_ON_PAUSE enabled, adds the GCode M125 to pause printing and park the nozzle. I have used this many time, this works great.thank you!by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
On the marlin version the filament change has to be enabled right? Does anyone know what’s it called under the configuration.h? What about the runout sensor?by MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
Well I got most stuff worked out I just don't know how to get the newest Marlin installed I had some errors when trying to upload I will have to check again what error it was.by MikeCL - Delta Machines
Yeah that part worked right now I’m trying to dial in the printer it looks like the nozzle is too close trying to adjust on the fly is not a good as I had with the anet a8 the extruder is skipping at some parts but not all if I lower the bed too much then it just make the ridges on the first layer but not that high to be air printing.by MikeCL - Delta Machines
Quoteleadinglights I only used "G0 Z20" as an example so it would not crash into the bed. When you did "G0 Z0", did the effector go down to the bed or move at all? Were there any erro reports? Mikeno it did not move at all when I did G0 Z0 and no error messagesby MikeCL - Delta Machines
Quoteleadinglights What value for Z does it show on the display immediately after homing? It should show the maximum possible Z value - i.e., the height from the bet to the nozzle tip when homed. Do I understand correctly that doing something like "G0 Z20" does not result in the effector moving down? MikeI think it was like 580 after the homing I did not do a G0 Z20 I did G0 Z0 but I can try thby MikeCL - Delta Machines
Sorry guys I work 14 hour work days plus a dad of two little kids but I got the printer working it’s odd I had to invert all the motors what I’m having a issue now is setting the z offset after it homes I can’t lower the z axis anymore for whatever reason.by MikeCL - Delta Machines
Mine is a maker base gen l ver 1.0 board The funny thing is I’m in touch with the company and it happened on a stock board.. another guy has the same issue. I’m going to try to install the stock firmware again which I hope has some type of change. Here is a video I did it’s the stock out of the box firmware.by MikeCL - Delta Machines
Quoteleadinglights @MikeCL. Can we look at what is happening one item at a time. Ignoring G0 Z whatever for the moment and concentrating on the "Home All" button or perhaps G28. Does the effector home in an upward direction? After reaching all three limit switches, does it do a little dance, going down a couple of mms and then slowly up again to home? Does the display or control program show thaby MikeCL - Delta Machines
Quotejcs So with Repetier you're not having any problem???Yes having issues as well.. the endstops and motors match I'm just confused on why it can't do a simple home all hit the top endstops then lower to Z_Min if it lowers for a home all it just crashes in the bed hard while dragging the nozzle towards the Z motor.by MikeCL - Delta Machines
sorry I've been going back and forth between marlin and repetier yes setting it to invert worked however the last firmware the X motor acts funny.. most of the time it wont move when it should to home but flashing the repetier firmware it's fine. I'm not sure if I missed some line of code in the marlin version but the X motor has no tension at all at least a home on marlin. At this point I don'tby MikeCL - Delta Machines
Here is the stuff that's in the file nowby MikeCL - Delta Machines
I have a he3d k280 so first things first the little sensor probe does not work for auto level but it shows as triggered with the M119 command when I trigger it with my finger but when auto home it has no function. Also I think my Z is backwards… -Z raises it up to the end stops but the end stops when trigged if you try to go up more you just hear the motor causing the belts to shake. +Z as youby MikeCL - Delta Machines
I feel stupid here but I have a new printer and it comes with those little pressure sensors that goes around the nozzle.. how in the world does the nozzle fit around it? The inside does not seem to have a hole for the nozzle to fit. After doing a G28 and then M851 Z0 should the Z value when doing M114 be Z0? Its not showing as 0 to me.. also then doing G0 Z0 my nozzle crashes into the bed hard with a Bltouch.. the nozzle hits first.by MikeCL - Printing
Ok so here is the deal, I have a Anet A8 and it probes the bed is 9 points.. it's fine nozzle does not crash into the bed and whatever.. however the start of the print where I have it print a 4mm line before starting the print for whatever reason the nozzle goes below the bed level when trying to make that 4mm line now (changed the nozzle for TPU printing) Maybe I don't have the M851 command righby MikeCL - Firmware - Marlin
