You are quite right that's what you get trying to do things from an ageing memory So to get it right both axis are Positive at Rear Right and negative at front Left. I'm getting to old and demented to do things by memory? Note to self Double check what you post before hitting the Send button Doh?by dougal1957 - Delta Machines

Another thing is that the Thermister B value on the E3D is a bit out at the Higher temps of a Hotend DC42's excellent spreadsheet calculates that 4388 is a better match than the Default (which is specified for 100degrees not the 200-250 range that we usually use) Not sure how much difference it will make to the Tune but mine is absolutely fine on Stock PIDs at that Beta Value and I get around 1.by dougal1957 - Ormerod
Exactly What we found Pierre tho we had them on 16 tooth pulley think the same would have happened with 20 and not as much so with 36's but think it would still happenby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Think it is the repeated bending/straightening that works hardens the cores and makes them Brittle. Point was just to make you aware. Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Phil Did you go with the Steel Cored GT2 belt if so What size pulley have you gone For? Reason I ask is that I put some of it on a printer and it lasted all of 2 days before it stretched and started jumping teeth. It appears that it can't cope with tight bend radiuses and the Steel cores break internally and one of the teeth instead of being 2 mm pitch ended up more like 5 just a warning. Try adding the following line M570 S180 I had the same issue some time back Caused by the lower power of the Heater (bet it has blue wires) this causes the Firmware to time out the heater and shut it down on the assumption that the Thermistor in the Hotend has come adrift. HTH Doug p.s. the S180 tells it to wait for 180 seconds on heatup instead of the Default (Can't remember what that is aby dougal1957 - Ormerod
yes I know what your saying my 380mm diam one was about 65 euros in fact my 400x400 one was a lot cheaper (cutting costs where high) just hope they can do a piece big enough for my next one which will need to be 600 x 520by dougal1957 - Ormerod
QuoteTreito The price? The standard permanently bed surface here in Germany costs twice as PrintBite and for my forthcoming printer even three times more than PrintBite. The price is okay for a durable bed surface and is similar with BuildTak, but BuildTak doesn't last very long. The pattern is okay and that's the main difference to a normal FR4. Treito I am not complaining about the price howevby dougal1957 - Ormerod
Quotedmould QuoteTreito Hello, after my original Hot-end died because the PTFE-liner inside melted I am wondering what is the maximum temperature for it. For the moment I use PrintBite and this requires a temperature setup of 125/250°C. Is this okay or already too high? Best regards, Sven How good is PrintBite? Have you tried it with ABS? I Think you have a DUET 0.6 from Replikeo in which case you need to change the R4700 in the M305 lines to R1000 instead? Dougby dougal1957 - Controllers
This can sometimes be caused by an intermittent connection to the Controller Board from the Motor I had a similar problem some time ago on a I3 where the vibrations would cause a short disconnect and thereby causing missed steps In my case it was the Y Motor so I would double check that all the pins in that connector are making good contact and are tight. QuotePz212 this is the m666 and m665 comands in console right after the bed leveling. i trid updating to the latest dc42 firmware but still the same issues. tried putting in new config files aswell but still the same issue First thing I noticed is that you have rod length at 310 and Bed Radius at 290.0 one of those must be wrong and I suspect you have put in the Bed Diameter rather than its rby dougal1957 - Duet
QuoteUndermentioned Thanks for your reply. Yes you right its not really worth the trouble but what gets me is I can order from ebay and they are about $12, but its the shipping that takes forever (about 6 weeks). I can buy it locally but thats about $65 which is such a ripoff seen as there stuff comes from ebay too. Anyway I think I will just order one and be patient (which is not easy). It might help to know which Firmware you are useing as they behave slightly differently if you Have Repetier FW then you can adjust the EEPROM Setting's from within RepHost (I can't remember how now as I haven't used in in over 12 months) Dougby dougal1957 - Reprappers
Sounds like you have eeprom enabled no longer use Marlin or repetier but you may have to flush the eeprom and reload it for your config.h to take effect sure someone will be along to tell you exactly how soon enoughby dougal1957 - Reprappers
That is pretty damned impressive if I may say so are you using Full E3D Heatsinks and heatbreaks? Dougby dougal1957 - Duet

Quotehello_tom Sorry for the late response. After doing some research about where to get the parts, I have to say that I must step back to 1.5mx3.0mx2.0m because the biggest aluminium bed I could find was a 1.5mx3.0m. @ Govahnator: yes probably I will go for a Nema 24. QuoteSven.L Paul, I just checked them. The cable costs 1.85 US$. But they really try to charge me 50 US$ to Jamaica. If I send such a cable inside a regular letter, I pay less that 2 US$ for it. How many points do you want to probe. One Way I can think to get that data is to copy your bed.g file replacing the Sx in the final G30 line with S-1 this will print out the heights at each probe point without making any adjustment you would however be limited to 16 points. I suppose you could generate multiple Bed.g files in the same fashion to increase the total number of probes and run themby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
