Did not help removing cap and resistor. still getting strange numbers. with sensore disconnected vslues is around 75 (M407), sensor connected values around 35, with filament in sensor around 25. so it changes when filament is run into it. but diameter 25mm is wrong still think i have configured wrong or missed something.by AndersE - Firmware - Marlin
Really? aren't the pullups programmable? why then is it labeled thermistor_pullup in the code then?by AndersE - Firmware - Marlin
Forgot to mention : Marlin 2.0 I run filamentwidth sensor on my k8200 without problems, and now i want to run one on my delta which have MKS SBASE1.3. But i can't for my life understand how to confure it. The sensor is modified for 3.3v output I thought about using termpsensor 4 as input. I changed in mks_pins tempsensor 4 to: #define FILWIDTH_PIN P0_26_A3 // A3 (TH4) Enabled filamentwby AndersE - Firmware - Marlin
I am building a sensor as the one by flipper on thingiverse, and i am going to use it first on my marlin fw printer, but as my delta have a smoothieboard i would like to use one on that too. But i can't find any info about a width sensor, only the "run out of filament" sensor. Are there any experimental firmwares i could try?by AndersE - Smoothie
Hey Craig, you vanished after our mailconversation about the pellets you had left.by AndersE - For Sale
MKS SBASE 1.0 ? MKS BASE 1.0 i can find info about but not the SBase variant. Seems interesting, but as there does not seem to be any real english docs or other info i don't know.by AndersE - Controllers
nophead: Thats sounds like accurate description of my problem. When printing at high speeds it sounds like: zzzzzzzzzzz..daa..daa..daa..daa..daa And it's the daa.daa that gets violent. But why does it do the same for a simple homing or just z moves? How low can one go on the deltasegments in marlin, if it would help to lower it more?by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Yes i already have a feeler out in the controller section. I already run the steppers at 14v (not much above 12v i know). I'll settle for what i get for now. I am going to try 1/8th stepping also before i throw in the towel.by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Do you mean measure while the steppers are running? I can try that. Maybe i should connect my scope also and look for oddities. Heh..i'm only confident with the scope when repairing old arcade boards. I agree, i thought they were good drivers. QuoteAndrewBCN Did you try measuring the voltage at the 12V 5A connector on the RAMPS, and then right after the 5A polyfuse (right on its leg for exampleby AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Yes i am. I started with 1/32 and it was much worse than now. Quotenubby Are you sure you have the jumpers set to 1/16th? The bottom pin is the only one closed? I had some problems with skipping and prints stopping and starting with 1/32 stepping, probably because of the Ramps 16Mhz clock.by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Actually i had acc settings to 4000 and printing moves to 2000, i tried lowering to 1000 for both, it made little improvment. And if got as low as 500mm/s it actually got much worse. Here is a video of the problem. When moving like this it is no big deal, but when printing it is a real problem. Today i also tried lowering delta segments to 150 and limiting max feedrate on all steppers to 200 .by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Yes, and that it was Arthur Wolf posting it.. Isn't he the developer of the smoothieboard?by AndersE - Controllers
I have set in marlin max acc to 1500 so i don't think it's that. Heck original setting is 9000mm/s But i will fiddle around with the acc settings some.. And for the amperage of 1.9 is that my steppers are rated 2.4A, and i just remembered that they loose a lot of steps below 600mv. I have lost steps at 800mv. But perhaps it has a connection to the above problem.by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
I am running 0.9 steppers at 1/16 and it is as quiet as running 1.8steppers at 1/32 i think, or is it because i run the DRV8825?. But doesn't 1/32 steps "require" 0.9 steppers? Anyway.. A 0.9 stepper actually have double the steps pers turn of a 1.8 stepper even at 1/16step.. My fans on the ramps and hotend is all i hear when printing (almost).. it is MUCH quieter than my Velleman K8200..by AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
I have built a delta with Ramps1.4, 0.9degree steppers and DRV8825 drivers set at 16x microstepping. The board now runs at 14v (without diode) and stepper drivers set at 950mv. When doing long travels at speed over 100mm/sec and also homing or just z movement, the motors run ok the first 50% of the travel, then it seems they get out of oomph, and starts to get jerky and stuttering, it sounds liby AndersE - RAMPS Electronics
Well, i haven't found the actual homepage for the milkshake, just this ebay ad: But the Smoothie v2 Pro seems to have it all. Just dissapointed it does not seem to be ready yet.by AndersE - Controllers
Yeah i read about the alligator also, but it does not seem to be finished. I don't know about the firmware for it?by AndersE - Controllers
I mean one more pwm'ed output. If fan is on bed it is not separately controllable, and if on powersupply it is also full on. There should be atleast one even two more mosfet outputs, and some userconfigurable in/out's. Quotecxandy my sample config just for dual extruder. D10 heat1; D9 heat2; D8 bedheat; Fan can connected to heat together, can also be a separate power input.by AndersE - Controllers
But the AZSMZ Mini only have 3 mosfet outputs. 2 hotends + bed + fans = 4 mosfets. I don't want to fiddle with converting to other outputs.. And i already got a reprap fglcd i would use.by AndersE - Controllers
Thanks for input. I think i'll get a smoothie or milkshake.. Anybody have input on the milkshake board?by AndersE - Controllers
I have been looking around on smoothieboard, azteeg and some other. But no-one offers all i want. All lack something it seems. If it have drv8825 drivers, it only has ability to run 4, does it have 5-6 stepperdrivers it lacks the possibility to remove them, or they are soldered., Or if it has actually 5-6 swappable drivers, it has no more than 3 mosfets (1 fan, 1 bed, 1 hotend) and no network, lby AndersE - Controllers
Thanks everybody. I got a new mega, the rampsboard and stepperdrivers are all ok. So i am printing again now. On 12V ..by AndersE - Controllers
Ramps1.4, 4 steppers, drv8825, 1 hotend-heater, 1 cooling fan, no bed heating. Driving a homemade delta. I was printing happily when suddenly a poof and smoke, then all heaters and fans went on full.. The 5v regulator on the mega2560 had exploded.. So i hoped it was just that, soldered in a regular 7805 and plugged in the mega again (only mega board) . Nothing.. The powerled lights, and the AREby AndersE - Controllers
