I ordered my i3XL on 25th Jan and after many emails I finally received an answer on 20th Feb from someone named Cara saying that my order is on the floor and scheduled to go out Monday or Tuesday. I have emailed them a number of times regarding a change of shipping address (not a big deal as I still have access to the old address), without any response. It's now over 6 weeks since I ordered it anby Kalus - Prusa i3 and variants
After about 40mins of printing, it made it back to 120 deg and seems to be doing what it is suppose to, but the earlier 15 deg. drop has had bad effects on the print.by Kalus - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Very simply, at random layer heights, my Y-axis will skip and the print will shift. There is no sound like with a normal stepper skip, the axis is very smooth and it happens regardless of the speed. I have replaced my stepper drivers on the Rumba board with DRV8825, no difference. Played with acceleration, jerk, speed to no avail. It still skips, and when it does, it seems like it is always the sby Kalus - Repetier
I have just swapped over to Marlin on my Rumba board, from Repetier due to skipping issues on the y-axis that I could not solve. With Marlin, the random skipping completely disappeared. My bed is running on PID and successfully autotuned. It will get to the set temp (120') but once the print begins, it will quite rapidly fall to about 105' then very very slowly make its way back up. I have just swapped over to Marlin because I had issues with Repetier firmware that I couldn't fix on my Rumba board. I have a similar issue, try to print and extruder doesn't work. I tried emergency stop, complete power off and nothing worked. What did work was going to EEPROM settings, Restore factory settings, and then Save them back to EEPROM. Extruder now works. But, I do have another issby Kalus - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Also, ich bin ein wenig verwirrt, vor allem wegen der Übersetzung Deutsch in Englisch, aber ist das eigentlich geschehen?by Kalus - Kommerzielle Angebote & Produktvorstellungen
Just wanted to let everyone know, orders are being taken for another run of STB Graphic LCD controllers for RAMPS, RUMBA, Melzi and Sanguinololu 1.3a electronics. Original indiegogo campaign here Forum with some details on new orders here (in German) Order form here (in German) Please note that I have nothing to do with these LCD controllers, I am merely trying to spread the word.by Kalus - Controllers
Marcus, ich würde auf jeden Fall gerne ein, wenn die Lieferung in die USA möglich ist. Grüße, Kyneby Kalus - Kommerzielle Angebote & Produktvorstellungen
I haven't looked back after installing the new firmware. I did push it hard, and found that my hobbed bolt was a little 'uneven' in places, so the feed wasn't at a consistent speed. But all is going well, I haven't had any instances of skipping since. Cheers, Kyneby Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)
ok, so I now have the printer performing rather well, no sign of skipping and running at well over twice the speed. I installed Repetier Host and Firmware and I have to say WOW!! This sw/fw seems to address every aspect of printing and improves on it considerably. After sorting out a couple of little issues with Repetier himself via email (to which he replied almost instantly), My first real suby Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)
Interesting... I must admit, all I did was look at the Pololu/Stepstick Wiki page and it shows only eighth stepping and no MS3, but, just checked the ebay page of the guy I got them from and they do have MS3 and sixteenth stepping. I will attempt your suggestion in your previous post, thanks Nopheadby Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)
Well, I did fiddle with different step settings to see what would happen. Interesting though, the stepstick doesn't have MS3 and is not capable of 1/16 microstep, so I didn't bother putting that jumper back on. For some unknown reason, my axis_steps_per_unit for the extruder is now 386, which is about half of what it was before I started messing with the stepstick. But.... but since the stepstick was not even getting hot, wouldn't that indicate it wasn't getting anywhere near it's full current capacity? I guess I'll order a Pololu and try it out, just hate having to wait for it to get here. Just had another thought... would changing the microstep size to 1/4 or 1/2 or even full on the stepstick give the stepper more torque/power/current?? Just guessing here.by Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)
I swapped the stepstick over last night with the one from the y-axis with no improvement.by Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)

Hoping someone can give me some hints on this. I have a 1.3a board, stepstick drivers, Kysan steppers and 30A power supply. Using Sprinter firmware and Pronterface. I have a problem where the extruder is skipping steps... mainly on curves and not consistently at the same position on each layer. It also does it when changing direction (as in when doing a complete fill, it skips at the end of eachby Kalus - Sanguino(lolu)
