Hi NormandC What I wanted was to know how richrap can export the files to stl. I can not. I would like to start using the sketchup program for my projects. It seems more friendly than others. Cheersby novato - General

Hi I do not know if you have made the first adjustments before print anything. This link have a calculator for these early adjustments. and do not forget the mechanical adjustments. cheersby novato - Reprappers
Hi.. I had a similar problem. my solution was to separate the hotend with a bowden cable. You can follow my build at this link: soon I will post more photos. Antonio.by novato - Reprappers

Sorry.. I did not understand ... I'd like to help you but I do not see as I can. try a shock filter between the ramps and the relay, maybe solve maybe not...by novato - Reprappers
Hi.. 200w are not enough... if you have a multimeter and measure the 12 volts output, you will see that it drop to about 9 volts or less. I have for that purpose a 600w power supply.by novato - Reprappers

I had same error with my ramps 1.4. The problem was the drivers for the arduino. After install drivers from arduino 1.0, the problem disappeared.by novato - Reprappers
Yes. Could be, but I think the big problem of wooden slats is due to moisture and temperature may come to bend and deform the printer. To avoid this, we can glue several layers of different wood types, but this process would be more expensive.by novato - Reprappers
Yes. My first thoughts were 'build all wood', but I think I have more skills and tools to working with aluminum than wood. I think that all the parts that I built in aluminum, it is possible build them with wood, even the gear of extruder.by novato - Reprappers
I've been checking the cube, and It is hollow. I Already printed this cube, and was perfect. The problems you found, may be due to bad configuration of your software, with which you are working. Can you report what software are you using? If you are using the pronterface software with skeinforge, I suggest you choice the 'Starting Point Profile' for your first test prints. I think it could solby novato - Reprappers

HI it happens when you start to print, or with direct commands? If it happens when you start a print, check the start.gcode file... maybe you have there 250º Check your NTC resistor sensor... at 20ºC must have 100kohms. but check what kind of resistor you have, and look for a table here in the web.by novato - Reprappers
HI Reprapers.. A couple of months ago I started to build my 3D printer. I have encountered many difficulties because this printer is built with scrap materials. Now, that I finished building I encounter some details less well achieved. I entered the phase of improvements, with components already printed by itself. Here I want to share these difficulties and improvements Visit and leave your coby novato - Reprappers
Hi.. I have a ramps 1.4 from Gadgets3D, with G3D Driver. Today I tried test the steppers, and found that the Y stepper only run in -Y direction. I used the pronterface software and marlin I tried sprinter too, with same results. I checked the endswitches, swapped the pololu drivers, and same result.. The same motor runs well in others positions. The stepper motor is a 42BYGH4803 -04 with yeby novato - Reprappers
