I chose the Primo version for my third build. I really like the redesigned parts and think they give the machine a sleek and refined look.
With this new design there are a few differences between the Primo and the Burly.
The Primo uses 10mm GT2 belts instead of 6mm ones and integrates the belt tension adjusters into the corner pieces.

Overheating stepper drivers, make sure you have a fan blowing on them . too much or too little motor current can lead to shifts. Belts or pulleys that are too loose. Binding carriages/bearings all contribute to layer shifts.

Is your hot end fan turning? Is it pushing air in the right direction? Usually there is a small arrow on the fan that shows air direction.

I think Windows is to blame but I'm not sure.
I'm using Visual Studio 1.49.3 / Platformio on a Windows PC that originally came with 7 and was upgraded to 10
the default configh file and 2560 board compiles fine but when I change the board to the Robin Nano it throws up this
error. any help or suggestions are appreciated

Firmware - Marlin
I've had that happen a few times but never that long into a print. That's quite upsetting.
After the 3rd time I bought a refurbished UPS from the Micro Center. I calculated it should keep the printer running for 9 or 10 minutes more in the event of a power failure. It helped a couple of times for some momentary drop outs.

In addition to the nozzle height, printer speed could be contributing to that bad 1st layer. It looks like it was printed too fast. Try adjusting to 50% when the print starts and adjust up from there.

This second MPCNC build was kept small as space in my apartment is limited. Some improvements
were made over my 1st build. I left off the homing limit switches and made a waste board with more clamping points. I rebuilt a Chimera a couple of weeks ago and used what is called Premium Ceramic Polysynthetic Thermal Compound by Artic Silver. It was leftover from a PC build a few years ago. I've done some 11 hour PETG prints and have had no jams.

All metal hotends, which sounds like what you have, are better suited for the higher temperature plastics like ABS. Also removing the filament right after the print finishes and before the hot end cools down helps. I add a snippet of gcode that retracts the filament about a 100 mms at the end of each print. Just enough to clear the hot end but not enough to suck the hot plastic into the Bowden t

The work pieces are held in place with 5/16 bolts screwed into
T-nuts embedded in the spoil board. Using 5/16 bolts is a bit overkill but it
eliminates any chance of the work piece moving around when the engraving
starts. I put spacers between the work piece and the spoil board when I'm
doing cuts. This keeps damage to the spoil board at a minimum when the
cutting bit reaches the end.

I added some cable chain to run the motor wires and limit switches for homing
the X & Y. I don't think a MPCNC this small really needs auto squaring. The Z
home is set by eye from job to job because of the differences in the
thickness of the wood I've been using. A added lighted E-stop button cuts
power to the Dewalt and the 12 volt power supply in the case of a

When I placed my order for the Dewalt cut out tool I also ordered some 1/8"
end mills and V-bits. The package arrived but there were no contents in the
V-bit container. Either it was sent out from the manufacturer empty or
someone working at Amazon took them. I'm a little disappointed because I
was looking forward to engraving some text. At least I have the end mills to
work with.

I went with the more compact 24" x 24" version. This thing is going to need a dedicated spot and I haven't quite figured
out where I'm going to keep it.
There is quite a bit of printing involved with making all of the parts. Including
the cable chain and Dewalt tool holder it has
to be close to 170 hours of print time. I broke up the workload amongst 3
