All, I try to set up Marlin 1.1.9 (with bug fixes 1.1) but the auto bed leveling (3 point) is not working properly: The Hall sensor misses the bed and thus I must change the coordinates of the 3 probe positions. The problem is that when I change these coordinates the probing points stay the same. My starting script looks like this G1 Z 10 F5000 G28 M420 S1 G29 to make sure that auto bed levelby jwd - Printing
Hi everyone, I have a Mendel 90 with the NF THC-01 3 in 1 multicolor head and i use Marlin firmware. Until now i use it for 1 color prints but there is very little info on the web how to do a 2 color print. With some simple testing i found already that you need about 30 mm retraction to be able to change between extruder 1 and 2. Does anyone have a script which describes how to do a full tool chby jwd - General
Dear Nophead, Thanks for your answer, I will look into it . Apart from the software I am also a little bit in the dark about the electrical hardware. Is your tric limited to 5 Volts output? I think a need a powerful force from the coil which sets extruder 2 in down position and thus need 12 Volts through the coil. At the moment I only use 2 hotends and my Rumba board can manage 3 hotends. My idby jwd - Mendel90
Hello, I have build Mendel 90 printer and I designed a dual extruder. (see picture attached). As an improvement I want to design a swiveling X carriage because with 2 printheads it is handy if the not printing hot end is lifted a little (1 mm) to avoid collisions with the printed material and no oozing appears. (See attached picturenew.png for my first setup.) How it works: The left extruder isby jwd - Mendel90
Hi guys, I made a dual exruder X carriage for the Mendel 90.(See attached picture) I used 2 laser cut sheet metal parts to get a good stiff carriage. A vertical plate is used to connect the 3 LM10UU bearings. On this plate another sheet metal plate (3 mm) is screwed on which the or ends are mounted, The total X carriage can be demounted with 3 screws which is handy for repairs and service, Theby jwd - Mendel90
Hi, I am struggling with netfabb and slicer to create a 2 color object. (2 color world ) In Netfabb the 2 parts are perfectly aligned and everything looks OK. I selected each model and exported it to STL assuming that the coordinates were also stored. But when I import the seperate parts in slic3r, one object fits perfectly on the glass plate (it has layers at Z = 0) but the other one (whichby jwd - Slic3r
Hi, My rumba board works OK except the heated bed does not heat up. The temperature stays at 2.50 degrees which means that the thyristor is OK. I connected the heated bed directly on 12 Volts power and it heated up. I use firmware that worked on an identical Rumba board so it cant be the firmware settings. My conclusion is thus that the MOSFET is broken and my plan is to replace it with a newby jwd - Controllers
I have this issue solved: when I change the values distance probe - hotend tip into "near good" values the mechanical endstop on the probe did trigger. When I measured this distance I found to different values for Z. After I gave more current to the stepper motor of the Z axis, I could make a repeatable measurement en now everything works like a charm. Hi, I have a rumba board and managed to get the Z probe servo working. You should use expansion slot 3 (14 pins), see picture attached. I used pin 5 (PWM_1) which is controlled with digital pin 4 To get this working I added the code lines hereunder to the pins.h file: (just before the line with statement) :#endif //MOTHERBOARD==80 //Added to pins.h to control the extra servo at section "Motheby jwd - General Mendel Topics
Thanks for the electrical lay out yoyocopter! I installed a physical servo motor with an arm and switch. I used pins 2, 4 and 6 (+5Volts, GRND and PWM2) of expansion slot 3. I made the changes in the software to enable bed leveling (followed the Zenmaster M Youtube instructions) and uploaded the firmware. -> nothing happens I tried PWM1 and also no novement or reaction to gcodes like M401,by jwd - General Mendel Topics
Hi Everyone, I have a RUMBA board and my servo voor the auto bed leveling feature is delivered tomorrow. Does anyone know how to connect the servo to the RUMBA board? (I can find a ground and a 5 V pin on the board but where must i connect the third pin?by jwd - General Mendel Topics
