Quotedbrewski Let's see how these work out for everyone. I printed them tonight and everything seems to fit OK with very little extra work. I haven't tested the fit of the E3D in the extruder but that shouldn't be too hard to make fit with a little sandpaper. I have attached all the files you will need. Please provide feedback if anyone decides to use this. What did you use to design these?by enzo1027 - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotedbrewski I modified the bearing extender to fit this new extruder. I would definitely install this little piece if anyone decides to use this but it's not critical. I really haven't been working too hard on this project. In fact, it's me putting off real work to play. It's a lot more fun to design for hobbies I choose than what the boss tells me. ARGHHHH!!! This is happening to me too, and I'm completely miffed! Twice in the past week I've left Johnny5(my folgertech prusa i3) printing, and come back to the extruder in some random spot in the print just sitting there. My LCD is back at its main screen, and the bed and extruder stay on. Has anyone else had any experience with this? I print from my SD card with my USB plugged into a 120 toby enzo1027 - Slic3r

QuoteDan_FolgerTech Hey Guys, I just wanted to comment to Vanbot. I try to pop in here when I can but we have been so overwhelmed that I haven't had as much of an opportunity lately and for that I apologize. We are working on a FAQ page on the website, an updated build guide, and possibly forums of our own! These first 2 kits were definitely a learning experience for us and we definitely leaby enzo1027 - Prusa i3 and variants

Quotehockey9999 Placed an order for my Folger Prusa i3 on Monday, along with the full graphics LCD. The 10+ day wait is going to be painful! This will be my first 3D printer, looking forward to the build I've already skimmed through the entire thread, and am now reading it more thoroughly for a second time, up to page 20... QuoteEcky That mount shown above isn't in the kit. Like I said in another thread Dan told me to mount it on the extra bit of threaded rod sticking out the back which I did but you should mount it on the power supply side of the frame where it won't get caught by the heated bed wires. Tilt to the side to go under the heated bed and it can be actuated by the heated bed support frame. I invertby enzo1027 - Reprappers
QuoteVanbot Thanks Enzo. I'm deep into the Folger thread and used the Folger manuals for my build. But what I'm particularly looking for is the way people have set up their Y end stops so that the microswitch contacts the bare bearing. This is obviously only going to be the case in kits where there was no linear bearing holders on the Y carriage which is the case with mine. Of course I couldn'by enzo1027 - Reprappers

I had the same problem with mine. It never caused me a failed print, but I didn't want to take a chance. I'm not sure what a safe temperature is, but it was effing hot. I just printed a fan bracket (Bracket on thingiverse and bought a fan. They had 40mm fans at my local tinkering shop for 47 cents! Couldn't pass it up.
