I would have to question the color mixing extruder, Thinking about it would this really mix the colors if just spit them out like aqua fresh toothpaste in a distinctive pattern.by Roberts_Clif - Printing
I would say that the Z axis stepper current is low and needs to be adjusted. Included is a video linkby Roberts_Clif - General
QuoteSrek The fan will be a problem with most prints, cooling ABS during printing is not necessary and often problematic. It behaves very differently than PLA. For bigger parts try to prevent draught, depending on the shape of your printer try to enclose it. Often enough covering it with a mylar foil can improve prints hugely. I understand though my printer is inside a heated chamber so in factby Roberts_Clif - Printing
Quotejamesdanielv the LM2596 regulates to ±4% voltage. i am not sure if this is over time or range, or its average tolerance. still it is high enough that i would not use it for board voltage, unless it is >6.4v and internally regulated by board (6.4 gives wiggle room, and assumes NCP1117 1.2v drop). several things to verify. This is true if you don't have ripple on the 12 or 24 volt supply and you do on the 5V DC-DC simple switching circuit this opens a whole new set of problems. Troubleshooting the Step Down 5V DC-DC simple switching circuit or Buck converter is sometimes quit difficult to troubleshoot. As in this LM2596 simple switching circuit 12-30vdc input 5Vdc output And here is the biggest have seen lots oby Roberts_Clif - General

With the basic setup you have in IMG_7733.JPG you have almost nothing to cause the noise. Do you have line noise leaking into the LED Power Supply Can you measure the voltage on the Supplies output leads.by Roberts_Clif - Controllers
I use babystepping from the LCD control It works great . I print a skirt and adjust while watching for the perfect height. below I can see and change watching the numbers on the LCD. I have noticed that people think that when you say 12 volts it actually means 13.7 to 14.7 volts This is only because car batteries run 13.7 to 14.7 volts. Well 12 volts means 12 volts, is seems that some think they can crank the voltage up to the max the supply will allow and get " MORE POWER " ('Time the Tool man Taylor') When you try to run a 12 volt 3D Printer from a 12v power supply at 13.7by Roberts_Clif - General
I noted when I purchased my second 3D Printer . The first being a 3DP11 12v 30amp supply The second being a 3DP12 24v 20 amps supply I too starting getting this ripple noise in not just the temperature sensors but the filament run-out sensor and the RepRap LCD. I used some aluminum foil DUCT Tape to cover the inside of my controllers case and grounded it. I also wrapped the LCD Cables with Blueby Roberts_Clif - Controllers
QuoteEddiie I installed 1.1.9 and got the same result. Reverted back to 1.1.0-RC8 I upgraded to Marlin 1.1.5 and am very happy with the results, when I tried to setup Marlin 1.1.8/1.1.9 could not get them to work. May try again one day as I have been researching all the configuration changes being made to correct the crazies from happening. Corrected the above missed the 2 and hit a 1. The correct temperature should have been 230C Nozzle and 96C Bed. Fingers missed the correct key. When I find more time I will test a larger Print using the Vinyl Transfer Paper Tape ('Similar to Blue Tape') and what ever these Hictop Bed Build surfaces are made.by Roberts_Clif - Printing
I have been printing PLA now for 2 years very Successfully. So 1 week ago I ordered 3 Rolls of ABS and to my surprise today they kind of arrived. (Picture below) You will note that out of an order of 3 rolls of filament only Red and Blue are ABS the Black was actually the most important for my needs. And you will note in the picture this one roll of filament that I needed the most is not ABSby Roberts_Clif - Printing
I had this problem, when I would plug in the 3D Printer to the computers USB ports it would cause several problems, the worst was it would short my PC causing a reboot. Finally is caused the 5.25 "Card reader to smoke and burn. I solved this Problem by Purchasing two raspberry Pi's connecting them permanently to the 3D Printer then using wired Network service to OctoPrint to communicate. I would ask to Check for debris or if maybe some debris was pushed into the SD card slot, try to blow air into the card slot to remove any debris. The connections on the SD Cards can get dirty, you can clean the SD contacts with a pencil eraser being sure to wipe the eraser debris away before inserting into the SD Card slot. Yes! This can be done. When I first setup I manually adjusted the Z-Offset thru LCD Menu, I only had end-stop switches then. Though I used the line below to raise the Z axis up 10mm #define Z_CLEARANCE_DEPLOY_PROBE 10 However if you adjust the Z-Offset to far the will cause the Z-End-Stop switch to be forced down (on My T-Slot frame it would force the Z_End-Stop switch to slide down) This wouby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
