I've just started building my Hypercube too and have decided to use the MKS Gen v1.4 to start off with until I can get a 16-bitter. It's an 8-bit, 24v compact single board design for around £25.by repanrap - CoreXY Machines
Have you had a look at this one. I got one a year ago last October, took my time and built it over a couple of days. Clear instruction manual and quality parts, no cheap chinese knock-offs. When I've needed it, I've had fast & good support from them.by repanrap - General

I'm upgrading my i3 from single to dual extruder (Chimera). I have removed the the Hexagon and it's extruder from the x carriage, to do this I virtually had to strip the machine down so now there is nothing attached to the Arduino/Ramps 11.4. My question is, can I incrementally add, and test/calibrate, to the Ramps? For example I have already mounted the two extruders, can I attach them to the Rby repanrap - Reprappers

There are two main problems: 1> The first few layers (upto about 1.5mm) bulge out and are not flat. The x-carriage is the worst offender. This means that when I bolt the pieces together the two surfaces do not mate flush so the bracket can rock along the x axis. 2> On the back of the x-carriage there are insets for 4 LM8UUs. They are a snug fit. They fitted on my original carriage, they fiby repanrap - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
Thx for that Gordon. From a customer point of view, 3dhubs is setup so that you pay before a job is started, thus the problem I've got now - a lump of plastic and I'm out of pocket. Daan (support) has ignored my emails since Thursday so I might have to go to PayPal directly to get my money back. So I hope you can understand why I'm hesitant to go 3dhubs again, I really don't like the work ethic Iby repanrap - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
I'm in Wandsworth, South London. I had 3DHubs print it and the quality was crap, I'm still trying to get a refund but Daan (the admin) isn't answering my emails yet!by repanrap - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
My printer is down at the moment. Can anyone print these for me please?by repanrap - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
I was going to use Blender as I do a lot of 3D modelling anyway, but I thought I'd try the other stuff anyway and I've found that openSCAD is a lot easier than what it looks. I'm trying 123D, 'cos adafruit's 3d hangout has some good tutorials on it. Which end-stop? Remember the z-stop should be on and the others are off.by repanrap - General
This is what I have been able to glean so far: It has a print volume of 140mm * 140mm * 135mm It will print in both PLA and ABS so it has a hot bed. It runs a customized version of Repetier-Host. Has a 0.2mm hot-end. Uses 1.75mm filament. Price of the printer is $799, you can either pre-order it now for £699 (to be delivered in April) or build it yourself from the weekly mags. Hey... another ooznester I built mine just before xmas and am thoroughly enjoying it. For reading material drop by here and pick up the free mags, they contain some of the basics, some reviews and tutorials that you might find useful. From there it depends on what you are going to do, how are you going to create the models in the first place. Packt has "3D Printing with SketchUp" and "Blender 3Dby repanrap - General
