For determining the speed it need some more informations: * Acceleration (Default and max !), Yerk, max speeds of the firmware (upload configuration .h) * Accelerations / speeds entered at the slicer software (best to upload the settings file) * complete Gcode file - upload it * Time the whole print took.

Quoteo_lampe This forum is a miracle to me: I know I asked the question about firmware support. And there are two answers to my question, but I can't see my question?? Maybe you have used some blacklisted word parts by coincidence ? Chriby Chri - Controllers
Yes SK is dead, too old too slow, but still very good to learn the detail stuff and print accurate. You can find the original documentation via the Internet Archive: other actual free slicers are Slic3r, Cura, Craftware Chriby Chri - Skeinforge

@ DC42 Yes its legitimate to say that the risk for you personally is to high to be successful in this market sector and if you don`t want to invest okay, we have to deal with it ^^ But only sayin 8 bit is sh*t because it`s old and new stuff is available it not a solid answer, there always have to be considered more things. I assume you are primary only interessted in a "all featured" board, thats what came to my conclusion with all the other threads we discussed about that, that there only exists the DUET it only the proove of it. As you already written the cost of both chips, 3€or 6€ that is a really tiny difference in cost so this is not really a big factor when it comes to an overall cost of 100 € or 300 €, thats a real difference. When it comes to cost using something based on a existing firmware (and an existing HW design) is always the cheapest way, not only using the cheapest chip. i know that a 32 Bit CPU is "bettby Chri - Developers
I´m getting tired of explaining it every time again to you DC42. Not everyone does need a high-end Board with lots of "bling bling" on it. Not everyone does want or can afford such high-end boards like DUET /WIFI Not everyone does need/wand such huge boards where you can eat lunch on. Hy mbhassan the StepZero is looking very cool, i`m also searching for a small electronics for my tiny printers since years. As the board only has 3 Stepper-driver connectors will the Extruder stepper then be driven by this daugtherboard ? have you considered using a AT90USB1286 instead of the 1284, afaik i noticed when testing boards the bottleneck is not the speed (thats why you clock the 1284by Chri - Developers

There already exists Pololu like driver with addon Pins for digital Vref, from panacutt Also the fitting board for that is available there. They also have a ARM Upgrade for the Ramps Board Unforunately all in the USA, so not really orderable for me. I´m also for a simple new 32 Bit board for long time, also had a couple of discussions here at the forums with DC42 about simpler and lower cost boby Chri - Developers

I`m not that expert of calculation energy stuff, but when you calculate 250W for the hotend i think there probably is some mistake in the calculaton. Speed in terms of only movements is normally not the issue, for example i tested the extruder speed at 400m/s printspeed (0,5 nozzle 0.2 layerheight 1,75mm ABS Acc 9000, jerk 50), the Extrusion rate at E is something between 21 to 22mm/s, so far aby Chri - General
Selby Chri - Projekte
