I have printed both, and help on the design for the Prusa Allt he parts are pretty straight forward to interchange. The Z axis spacing is the same, so you can use the Prusa X Y or Z axis on a Sells mendel no issues, just replace the aplicable parts.by spacexula - General Mendel Topics
I agree with Sebastian here. "P.P.S. Sorry about the thread hijack. I am just tired of Rick acting like he is so great when, in the end, I feel he tried to extort " A. This will show you the Gen6 with opto. Motor is in the front so it's easier to move the motor by turning the pulley, and it looks cool following you in your blog, your looking great!by spacexula - Reprappers

I completely disagree. I don't see any reason at all to degenerate a Prusa back into the Sells configuration. In the end the home made RP linear bearings was just a bad idea. LOTS of extra fasteners, and tiny non standard bearings that could only be sourced from 2-3 sources for a reasonable price world wide severely increased the buy in for a RepRap. Techzone electronics have a VERY VERY bad reputation. I have built a Huxley, there was a really good reason it was abandoned befor we saw it in a video and demanded it be released. I always use youtube as a guide. When your looking at a kit check this. -Can you find videos of it printing online (not just axis control, real printing) -Are there multiple videos, from multiple sources. I hear that botmill has improved, but who ever knows around here... Heated build plates can be added later pretty easily. If you want the most open the box and run experence possible (quickest to plastic parts) Rapman 3.1 and Makerbot Thingomatic are about dead even Rapman has a normal build are, but Thingomatic has a heated build platoform and small build area. I personally own a Makerbotby spacexula - General
Depends: I think there are better options than both of those. The BEST option is to self source, you can put a printer together for around $500 and give moeny back to the RepRap community by buying the parts from another RepRap operator. Best place to do that is emakershop.com, ebay (search reprap), or in the for sell forums here. I have a guide to this process here The next best option wouby spacexula - General

Welcome Rajesh! You really need to get your RP Parts from someone that has a 3d printer, it doesn't look like there are any in India acording to the RepRap and Makerbot blog. What's your budget? Is $400 too much $600, $900, $1100? What is your technical ability, can you soldier, what tools do you have already? As far as the RP Parts I could get them to you shipped for $150 shipped to India (by spacexula - General
I was one of the more active in the loaner program. I had 1 set I loaned sold on ebay, that sort of turned me off on the whole idea. I still will loan out extruders to people who are putting together a repstrap for just shipping, but considering Prusa Mendel has put the price of RP parts into freefall, I might not do that any more. Almost every molding material has been tried, all fail becauseby spacexula - General
The bed at first can just be a sheet of plywood and a sheet of acylic you buy at your hardware store. Once you start printing big you might want to invest in a headed build platform, but I would wait till your up and going. No need to spend too much money up front. Gen6 will work fine for Prusa, but don't overlook the Ramps by Ultimachine also, that's what many people have went to. Gen6 is anby spacexula - General

I made that sheet nearly a year ago, it is WAY out of date. I think a lot of people would be interested, but considering we have never seen you in IRC, you don't have a blog, you have not contributed anything anywhere I have ever seen, and you have posted 3 times here... I just don't see giving you any money Care to share how your planning on getting these parts so cheap? I have priced commerby spacexula - Plastic RepRap Parts for Sale
Honestly I haven't seen as many negitive posts about their electronics here lately, don't know if that means they have improved, or people are just going with the cheaper Ramps version. I have actually seen the wood kits printing, now, but i still read they are a pain to put together. Personally I would go with the Makergear Prusa kit, but hey, to each their own.by spacexula - General

So Carlos, had much coffee today? I think 2 thread 3 posts all within 1 hour is a little excessive. Why not try once a day for 3 days, might be more effective. Let me guess, you emailed him at 8am, you didn't get a responce so you waited 4 hours before bombing us?by spacexula - For Sale

Trying to get my order together to add a 4th Prusa to my fun little Gen3/Gen6/Ramps/and now Monolith print off. A few questions: -The cables that are included for the Optos are they the same idea as the Gen6 optos, where the cable is all you need to plug in to get the opto functionality? -What is the price on a second tip management board? How many watt can these tips handle? Can they forby spacexula - For Sale
Awesome! Ever since to told me about those boards I have wanted to lay hands on them. A good alternative alternative to Gen3 and Gen6 is needed. Will be purchasing a set of these now in the next week or so Planning on runing the 3 major boards head to head on a set of Prusa to see how well they compare.by spacexula - For Sale
Is it legal sell a closed source propritory board "set is based on Sanguino - A derivative of Arduino (Atemega 644p)". I was under the impression that if you openly admitted your work was based off open source art you where required to make that work open source if you sold it. Am I mistaken?by spacexula - For Sale
Been selling through IRC, figured I would put a note over here. Some images of the Farm at it's current sad state I will take cash, or trade, so if you have plastic (ABS only, any color), motors, electronics, Linear bearings, extruder parts, Imperial Fasteners, Lasercut frames from Makerbot/Fab@Home Access to a laser cutter, Access to a CNC, ...
