Looks like your PID loop is going into an unstable region. Try reading up on PID loop tuning...by jeffegg2 - General
Quotenechaus Is that part warped ? To me I got rid of most of that by doing this - retraction needs to be on and fine tuned to your setup - to hot, if the temp is to hot this can cause lots of ooze -reduce extrusion mutiplier maybe .90 keep going lower untill you have it set right. Do you have a fan blowing at ur prints ? If not try it out.. I just set up a fan directed at my Buda heatsink, iby jeffegg2 - General

You have to give us more information than that. What pizo? what is your circuit? Photos? circuit diagrams? Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Developers
My chinese buda was leaking as well. I took it apart, burned off the excess plastic, and cleaned the threads with a 10mm die. wrapped the crud out of it with teflon tape and the leaking stopped. Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
I don't see how the extruder temp is linked to the stepper driver..... but who knows.... Try changing the affected stepper driver and see if that helps... Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
A 3d printer is too small for this... fiberglass coated foam board sounds the best. You just need to get the right shape. There is a new kind of plastic for airplane skin that replaces the old canvas/varnish. I would look into that for light weight. Perhaps a 3d printer for the spars? Would probably take a long bed, or make them in two pieces each. Jeff.by jeffegg2 - General
Quotelister6520 You just need to increase the amount of material extruded in the solid layers, or the filament is being laid down too far apart.. In the print settings tab find the 'Infill' entry in the extrusion width box. If it is not zero reduce the number by perhaps 20% for a start and see how it goes. The smaller you make the number the closer the strands will be laid down in the solid infiby jeffegg2 - Reprappers
Quotejeffegg2 Received the adapter tube. The 3mm x 2mm works for the 3mm to 1.75 conversion, but the hot end part is still 3mm. I have ordered some 3mm x 2mm brass tube to place into the hot end and see if that works out better. Some of the adapter photos show using the ptfe all the way to the tip. I can't see how the pla will melt using that method. I cut the ptfe where it enters the metal area,by jeffegg2 - General
Been working on my buda knock off. Came for 3mm and want to use 1.75. Added the 3OD/2ID ptfe tube and that was not enough.... kept jamming. So I got some 3mm brass tube, It now works to my satisfaction using 3mm ptfe and 3mm brass inserts.by jeffegg2 - Reprappers

When I installed the stepper drivers backwards, it had that same affect, nothing but blocks on the lcd. The ramps was fine, but the arduino mega was toast..... Tried with a new Arduino mega and all was right (after correcly installing the stepper drivers...).by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
Looks like the parts are not tight and your head is shifting?by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
Arduino uses C programming as well.by jeffegg2 - Developers
You can use the arduino board along with some stepper drivers like A4988 to run the motors using the C in your arduino.by jeffegg2 - Developers
Ordered both 3mm/2mm and 3mm/1.5mm. If one of those works ill have some xtra.by jeffegg2 - General
Those are servo motors not steppers. I doubt that they are powerful enough to do much.by jeffegg2 - General
Just some black tape can be good for thermal imaging. Yes, different colors emit IR differently.by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
I have seen youtube vids using ceramic and frosting based on the rostock delta, it seems to lend it self well to food printing. You would just need some type of controled extruder, like a shot meter. Good luck and keep us posted... Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Developers
Was considering building something in the CNC class, like custom router table. These might be just the ticket.... Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Developers
Sure thing, waiting on adapter to use 1.75 filiment, and spending the time to dial in my bed calibration.... I also have on order some cooling fans that I have heard that I need for PLA with this hot end.by jeffegg2 - General
You don't need pronterface, or marlin, or any of that stuff to learn about the stepper driver boards.... There are tutorials out there for running the A4988 from your arduino mega. That is how I first played with/ learned about the drivers. is where I learned from. It is in english and italian. Jeff.by jeffegg2 - General
This seems to be a known problem with pla and the G3D V1.2 hotend leaking. The maker suggests using teflon tape to seal the threads before and after the heater. Jeff.by jeffegg2 - Reprappers
I could not catch them (lulzbot) with anything in stock, so I have the Buda G3D V2.0 from ebay chinese knock off. I am waiting on a tube to convert it to 1.75 filiment. When I hooked it up the crappy resistor fried right away, so after installing a new Ramps 1.4 board I installed a 40W ceramic heater into it. It is heating well, but I have not printed anything yet.by jeffegg2 - General
I'm having trouble figuring out EXACTLY what these measurments are... #define DELTA_SEGMENTS_PER_SECOND 160 // Center-to-center distance of the holes in the diagonal push rods. #define DELTA_DIAGONAL_ROD 250.0 // mm -------------------------------^^^--------------This one I understand. I used a fixture to make mine all 250. ----------------------------------------------------------------------by jeffegg2 - Delta Machines
Yep, slow acting fuses they are. I smoked my first Ramps 1.4 board, burned a trace right in half. Bought a new Ramps board, then proceeded to try it out with the stepper drivers reversed... GACK! That fried the Arduino Mega. I replaced the burned up resistor that was in my Chinese Budaschnozzle hot end with a 40W ceramic, New Ramps, New Arduino, Almost there..... I also have a 4 gang auto fusesby jeffegg2 - RAMPS Electronics
You are building a Delta, then why have you not uncommented out the #Define DELTA? Have you issued the M119 command to determine the status of your endstops?by jeffegg2 - Sanguino(lolu)
If it does not work, you can always revert back...... I say go for it!!by jeffegg2 - Delta Machines
This is my first printer and I'm using a budaschnozzle style from the bay with .35 tip for pla 1.75. I'll let you know how it works.by jeffegg2 - Delta Machines
