are you in rp? cause id like to know if the aluminum sections are available locally. so the hb is controlled independent of the motors? what board are you using? i really like how you made the frame.by f3rDz - General
is this designed for abs or pla? cause i want to know how you will wire up the heated bed considering the size? are you by any chance a filipino? the beer made me think so ;Pby f3rDz - General
hi psychoticInsomiac, fellow 3d modeler here on final stages finishing a reprap. seems to me you are concerned about the details being captured in the prints. and you are also concerned about the build size. most 3d printer available have a max size of 8 x 8. though there are some that goes beyond this size like the mendel max. as for the details you want to capture, it really depends on thby f3rDz - General
@jamesdaniel, how do you heat your heatbed with laptop power supplies? doesnt heatbeds require around 11 amps?by f3rDz - General
^^^^ i can feel you. after waiting for more than a month, my cartridge heater arrived but wrong specs. i ordered a 12v but got a 24v. luckily i also ordered some resistors (both cemented and enameled) also overseas but with a quicker turn around period. hence the reason for this question. i was told going the 24v path is a good option. but i will be holding off on it until i have lots of printby f3rDz - General
Just want to know whats the difference between a vitreous enameled type and cemented axial. Tiaby f3rDz - General
most of what e-gizmo's items are used. so no part number to get datasheet from kahit sa alexan, muckhang brand new nga pero wala ding model or part number. even the brand is not there.by f3rDz - Philippines RepRap User Group

did you check on line or at their store? their part list is so outdated. i was there a week ago and there are still about 20 nema17 motors there.by f3rDz - Philippines RepRap User Group
what is your source of power supply? it needs to be connected to a power supply. not just powered by the pc's usb.by f3rDz - General
try egizmo. 220 a piece.by f3rDz - Philippines RepRap User Group
anybody experiencing some problems with the latest release of marlin? i just downloaded the latest copy from github and my sd card cannot be read since. it can be detected when ejected and inserted but cant read the files in the card.by f3rDz - Firmware - mainstream and related support
i really like your plasma cutter. if i have the dough i'll buy it. maybe you should really concentrate on your printer since you already have waiting clients for it. or maybe you are just working too hard so your getting more frustrated with the shop. take a breakby f3rDz - Philippines RepRap User Group
i am actually stocked due to the hotend. did some simple cold end just so i can make this thing work. the previous one is made of pla and it just melts. bought some teflon block yesterday for the cold end. its a bit overkill but i just want to make this thing print as soon as possible. i'm getting tired of watching it move without a working extruder.by f3rDz - Philippines RepRap User Group
here's a thread with a guy connecting 2 arduinos to connect lcd touchscreen. so i guess the answer is also yes for additional extruders.by f3rDz - RAMPS Electronics

much better idea is to check if the stepper motor will work on the second extruder driver and if it works try swapping the stepper and y axis frivers.by f3rDz - RAMPS Electronics
i would try re uploading the firmware if i were you.by f3rDz - RAMPS Electronics
it would be more fun to check if you can hook the motorsby f3rDz - RAMPS Electronics
i have the same board and shields from gadgets3d. make sure pin 1 of your cable is connected on both the lcd pcb and the shield. pin 1 is marked with a red line. there are many lines in the configuration that needs tweaking. one is the motherboard type which should be 34 if you are using ramps 1.4. have you done that?by f3rDz - RAMPS Electronics
hey bart! any chance you can plug in an lcd/sd card into your board? regardsby f3rDz - Reprappers
i'm also considering getting a big print area/volume. if you are printing pla then i believe you can go as big as you want. printing in abs limits you to an 8 x8 print area due to the available hotbed. there is a guy who adjusted the design of the 8 x 8 hotbed to an 8 x 12. i'm gonna try that but i think i need to pump more amperage from the electronics.by f3rDz - General
