Hi all, I recently upgraded my M90 with new x-ends and new belt, as nophead described on his blog... After putting everything together, and calibrating it, I get weird errors while printing in X-axis. See album with pictures below... These x-axis erorrs are different every time, sometimes jump is to left, other time to right... really weird.Y-axis is perfect - see smooth walls on rectangular objby weirdgod - Mendel90
if you take a look at the specs - they are preety low - looks like old tech... so all in all i would argue that they are just bad (compared to todays standards), and not really cheap...by weirdgod - For Sale
Hi guys. Due to lack of time to complete the printer, I am selling a complete Pryntech kit with extra upgrades. This is a complete Pryntech printer KIT, as Justin is selling here (http://pryntech.com/?product=opensl-1-0-3d-printer). The frame is put together, also all electronics are wired up, firmware is loaded into the openSL board. I also managed to connect printer via usb cable to pronterfby weirdgod - For Sale

Hmmm... It looks like only REPETIER HOST produces these errors after pid autotune is finished. Just tried in Pronterface and it works without a problem. Now the only question remains - why do i only get three sets of PID numbers out ? no matter whether I choose C30 C15 or C6 ... it only seems to do three cycles?by weirdgod - Mendel90

Hi there I changed hotends with prusa mk2 and wanted to do M303 to pid tune it... Since movement of temp is preety unevenly (see jpg), i tried multiple cycles of pid autotune to get best results out of it: M303 C30 S280 After pid autotune is finished (but looks like only 5 cycles are done) - i however get one of two errors: Error:Line Number is not Last Line Number+1, Last Line:108 Resent: 10by weirdgod - Mendel90
Thank you. Repeating a print at 210C (was 220C before) produced less artefact. I will boost retraction to 4.5mm with 40mm/s speed (as gave me good results in cura) and will try again (maybe even going lower with PLA temp - to 190C?)... Mistery solved...by weirdgod - Mendel90
Why did I get these artefacts on SOME of the vertical shafts of the nophead's spool holder (Stl)? Sliced with skeinforge using nophead's PLA0.3 profile, no changes, stock dibond mendel90. They were easy to remove, but looked spooky Ideas how to remove them in future and why I got them? 3 photosby weirdgod - Mendel90
Good suggestion from IRC:.. check grub screws on your motor pulleys - are they tight ? They were not - so I made tme, and this moment I am just testing a new print, to see if this was it. And I have a very good feeling that it is. So for future reference to other esteemed collegues and M90 ownersby weirdgod - Mendel90
Hi all in last weeks my print quality worsened... looks like I have an X-axis problem... (and sometime an Y-axis too - as can be seen in upper part of this model) see photos... I have a feeling that its getting worse after every calibration, and especially after last few filament changes... Currently i am on ABS, using different colours (approx same results), printed at diff temperatures (220-2by weirdgod - Mendel90
Did anyone succeed with adding another fan to the Pololu2 on Melzi (mendel90)? How exactly did you do it, where did you connect fan (power?)? I know that once connected to lets transistor2 i could make it run with M42 S255 P27 ... and off with M52 S0 P27 ... but what to do to reach this stage... I am interested in running rear fan, to cool bed after the print (as nopheads idea, and as mentionby weirdgod - Mendel90

Ahhh - i did it just changed the "100%" to "100" in file mentioned above and it compiled perfectly. But now i have another question.... I wanted to compile this on my centos6.4 machine and transfer binary to my cpanel hosting server (where i cannot compile anything), as I will need slicer there... but i only now realized I did not really create a binary, but only a perl program, which still rby weirdgod - Slic3r

UPDATE - progress made - skip to post #2.... ---- Hi all, I would kindly ask for help... I wish to run slicer on my linux box... its centos 6.4 64-bit... So, who managed (and how please) to hack T3P3 Marlin (using this fw, as it has nopheads sensor data it it (although its numbered differently), so that Panelolu2 displays negative numbers for X and Y.... Just an update.... I tried raising usb speed to 500k baudrate... and it works. but when printing from pc over usb, repetier host reports quite a few lines have crc errors so it resubmitts them... (and print is 100% fine)... anyway, i tried printing same gcode (with print speed 150mm/s just to try to reach all limits with printer at 0.3mm/layer thickness) over 250k and 500k (both from same pc).by weirdgod - Mendel90
Anyone tried the prusa's all metal hotend? Should work too... cheers, Jakaby weirdgod - Mendel90
I guess I would have to change this setting in the marlin firmware... and once I would go above supported speed, I am afraid printer would stop responding (since i would have no means to successfully connect)... that is why i am rather asking before trying you know - to learn from someone elses's mistakes. i must say that i am using printer host software (instead of pronterface) and am very satby weirdgod - Mendel90
Yes - it is now working ok. Awesome work btw - thank you for your contribution!by weirdgod - Repetier
An update.... i tried cleaning gcode commands at start... and it seems that RepHost0.95B is OK (does not stop with ERROR:No checksum with line number, last line:xxx) if i have these commands before actual gcode print commands: G28 ; home all axes M140 S60.000000 M109 T0 S210.000000 G21 ; set units to milimeters G92 E0 ; reset extruder M82; M104 S210 ; Set Extruder Temperature M190 S60 ; Wait fby weirdgod - Repetier
In latest repetier-host in printer settings I see that I can set baud rate all the way to 1500K (from currently 250K)... What is the highest speed that would still work (i guess melzi is the bottle neck?) - would that bring any improvements?by weirdgod - Mendel90
I have similar problems as others... with 0.90 and almost the same with 0.90B... here is the log when i try to print something... strange thing is that this happens when i try to print gcode that i got from CURA... while it prints gcode from SLIC3R OK (well at least 1 model i did so far)... With 0.85b it printed everything OK - no problems anywhere... ideas? Jack 19:23:55.585 : OpenGL versiby weirdgod - Repetier

I am just playing with new beta of CURA (13.05.1)... and cannot get it to work... I am assuming that E-steps setting is the same, althought (in file-preferences) it is now named "E-Steps per 1mm filament"... is this still 507 (calculated from my numbers?) This is exactly the situation I was wondering about... My right Z-axis wobbles at the top - see video. However, I dont think this affects print quality, so I ignore it. Comments? z-axis threaded bar movement on mendel90by weirdgod - Mendel90
Once gcode is loaded into Repetier, it would be nice to see (besides time ETA), also the prediction on usage of filament (in mm or cm3)... if gcode is from slicer, slicer automatically adds this as last line (commented out), so importing it should be no problem... ?by weirdgod - Repetier
