In order to load a Marlin file the folder must be labeled Marlin unless it was saved with a different folder Name than Marlin then the folder must have that folder name.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I would take a look at your firmware if you were to post a link to the source for original and your updated configurations. sometimes a 2nd eye can catch possible problems. Quotecysign I prepared everything well for the first start...but then the light in my room turned off and there was magical smoke - PSU was set to 110V instead of 230V.... This is crazy, I live in a country where 110V is used and when you buy a power supply you have to switch it from 220 to 110VAC. What are they purposely setting the voltage to the opposite for the country power supply is sentby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Quotestahlsau Any idea what kind of silly mistake I have made? Yes! Re-flash the original firmware Else There could be a short across the Mosfet, this happens quite often on new boards. The short could be as simple as a solder ball or any thing loose that rolled across and shorting pins. It could be that the solder of the Mosfet shorted the pins together and simply needs the excess solder reby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Saw your post though I would try this on my Hictop 3DP11/12 Controller. It does not work on my controller was worth a try, Traced the enable trace on controller and it goes to the onboard SD and not the External LCD SD Reader. It has been rerouted and now bypassed the connector to route the signal to the controller. I guess the only way to fix on my controller is to add a switch to send the enabby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin

Is this stepper motor being as a dual Z-Axis stepper, if so is it wired in series or in parallel. Almost forgot the most important question is the power supply 12 or 24 volts. Max current on this stepper is 1.3 amps V-Ref current center should be about 0.355 for 24 volts V-Ref current center should be about 0.698 for 12 volts Which axis is this stepper motor being used could you post a diagramby Roberts_Clif - Reprappers
With proper adjustment of the stepper motor V-Ref current will keep the stepper motors running cool. May I ask what you built in order to fully understand what your V-Ref Current adjustment current range should be. Layer shifting can also be caused by Loose or tight belts, binding smooth rods with linear bearings ect... ect...by Roberts_Clif - Reprappers
Quoteacestu Hi, It's the Bugfix branch that is tricky to build on a Windows machine, it is a lot of messing about moving files and folders, shortening Paths, even Linux on a Windows sub system is a lot of messing about, easy way out is build on a Mac if you have one. Stuart QuoteBigJ I was able to compile Marlin 2.x using Arduino 1.8.13 running on a Raspberry Pi 4B with 4MB of DRAM. The Arduinoby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin

I too had a few problems when updating to Marlin 2, many time wanted to revert to Marlin 1.1.9BF today I am using Marlin 2.0.6. Have started to use Slic3r, PrusaSlicer and the Newer Version Of Cura this is where my problems started. I had to reconfigure all the slicers to be able to work with my 3D Printer. QuoteRoberts_Clif QuoteDust This is a Arduino IDE on Windows issue. Windows has a hard coded unchangeable max path/fork limit of 32K characters. Arduino IDE is written badly, when it attempts to link all the .o files together to form the final .bin file on large projects, such as Marlin, it generate one very long command that can easily exceed the windows limit. Crazy thing is that do now even know what my bed surfaces are. As the material is not listed on any E-Bay page I have purchased from. Normally I get five 330mm square self adhesive surfaces for about $26.00 US dollars, They work with all materials I print, an are in my experiences really good. Calibrating the newer versions Cura is one reason I still use the Older Cura version 15.04.6, after over three years adjusting the many setting of Cura finally working more with newer versions. I would start by checking if the Hotbed works, Measure the resistance of the Hotbed using a multi-meter. This does not have to be a fancy multi-meter you will be checking for a really low resistance between 1 - 10 ohms.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
