Am I missing a parameter in my screenshot?

Sorry for the confusion on the last post, I did play with the fill density at 70% but the pic shows it was clearly not near that. I attached one I ran at 1 and you can see the difference where the infill threshold is starting to affect the outer areas as they are separated from the main body.
Are you telling me that the print settings tab should have more options? I have been using Slic3r sinc

Ok I'm starting to get frustrated now that i cant figure it out. I've attached a screenshot of the fill settings and the result in the middle of the print as shown in pronterface. The first and last layers look and actually print 100%. I'm expoting g-code, using Windows Vista, Slic3r 1.0.0. Same result on any STL. I appreciate all suggestions.

I am using rectilinear infill. It tells me honeycomb and line arent for use at 100% fill.

Tmorris,
I don't have a problem printing. When I look at the G code by layer I can see the fill. It's obvious that something is going on when the first and last layer are perfect but the middle is clearly honeycomb. I bet not many people print 100% fill.

I am not seeing it. I can cheat and increase the solid infill area so that it exceeds everything but I shouldnt need to do that. Any other ideas?

I'm trying to print a GoPro mount that is sturdy and I cant get enough infill at the main transition to the mount. Even when I make infill 1 its really more like 70" eye balling it. Is there some setting I've got clicked that i dont realize? Shouldnt 100% infill be solid?
Thanks

Don't give up, its nice. Try IRC for help. There were a few things I had to do to get it working on my 1.3 RAMPS including messing with the the adv_Config.h.
Good luck

Solved - retract speed. 30mm/sec must have been too much for my homemade hobbed bolt. Seems obvious now...funny how that happens.
Thanks guys!

dropped from 40 to 30 perimeter speed but doesnt look like it helped.

Nope, I like to run with only 1 perimeter anyway and it didnt fix it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Basic question here. I am trying to move to Slic3r from skeinforge. The issue is that on every start (and after every travel) there is a lot of material from the nozzle making a spot that is @4 times the normal line width. It cant be caused by temp because it happens even after quick moves. I added time to retraction but that wasnt it. Extra length on restart is 0. I dont see a parameter th

I had a similar issue so I used a wood block spacer to capture the hot end until I could print a new cold end. I still have it on my machine actually.

My experience after reading many similar posts is that it is always hardware. Consider the friction may be different at the bushing once the print gets going and starts to heat things up. Ditch the PLA bushings for some brass.

A good hobbed bolt will get you far but I would look at temp. I have noticed that heat will build up and cause transport issues in decent size prints. My J end came with the aluminum heat dissipaters and if I put a fan on it the issues go away. If you mismatched filament and tube sizes you may be more susceptible to flexing and a temperature issue. When I change filament I can easily see how the

Where should I be looking for this option? It was not obvious to me in configuration.

Are there special settings for saving an STL in Pro/E or am I missing a library or something? When I try to Skein the STL, procedures do nothing, and the chain ends in "IndexError: list index out of range".
Anyone have this issue before?
Thanks

If you turn on jitter it will vary the z move in a different location each time. This fixes the single location problem but kinda spreads it over the whole print. It would help you make a better gear in this case holding everything else the same.

Does anyone have an STL setup for a 5/16 bolt head for a Wade's? It's not the one in the SAE github.

When I first hooked up my 1.3 I didn't realize that the light is not supposed to stay on so I thought something was wrong. Do yourself a favor and get pronterface with skeinforge. It's a very basic interface but I've had the best luck with it.

I have also had very good luck with Ultimachine.
Has anyone noticed more transport issues with translucent filaments or is it just me?

Probably a common question but the search is not helping me find the answer. Does anyone have a part number for an X axis pulley from Mcmaster to fit a NEMA 17? I've got a bad pulley and now I can't print a new one.
Thanks Scott

Is there a setting in Sprinter to enable the positive end stops? I am trying to use push button type limit switches but they don't seem to trigger a stop code.
Thanks

What is a normal temp range? I'm using a J-Head and I simply pushed the resistor into the hole. The fit was very snug and some material was actually shaved off. Right now I'm seeing fluctuations between +-5deg as I print.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I set the baud to 115200. It appears to be touchy because i can get it to jog then after a short time it stops responding, even though i see the code sent and appear to be received ok. Once its messed up i need to disconnect and restart RepSnapper to get reconnected. I'm going to try Skeinforge and see what i get. Another point of interest is that it wont jog

I have tried to Jog the motors with no result. Shouldn't the light on the board stay lit and also the light in RepSnapper for connect to printer? They both go out after a short second or two. Also i see in the interactive window that "connection attempt timed out" after 5 seconds. There are no jumpers required on the Arduino Mega board are there?

Hello all,
I just built up a 1.3 with an Ultimaker board and the Mouser BOM from the Wiki. I'm still building up the machine but I wanted to try out a motor. I loaded the latest Sprinter code and modified the config for 1.3. When I load up repsnapper, chose the COM and set the Baud it still fails to connect to the RAMPS. I see the Arduino is powered on but the light on the RAMPS shield blink
