I am using reprapro mendel. I think it is one of the best option out there as the feedback are awesome and the duet board with the ethernet port is a very positive thing.by Gaou - Reprappers
I am here again as the clogs are less now but they are still there. I have notice that i am getting a clogged hot end at a specific time on the prints. I mean after 2 hous i get the first clog. As i am running out of ideas the last thing that comes in my mind is that the high temp that i am using ( 235-245 ) travels up to the end of the hotend and the bowden tube start deforming. At that time iby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
my extrusion problems seem to stopped. I dont know what really caused them as i did some things on my rpp mendel . First i insulated the heated block with a piece of aluminum glassfiber sheet. The second one was that i let the retruction as it was ( at the beggining i had retruction set at 1mm-2mm ) but increased the speed at 60mm/s. The third one get the end of the bowden tube open up with a 2.5by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
i am interesting too . my simple solution is to disolve carbon nanotubes with abs and then mix it with pure abs in my filament extruder. at least this is what i intend to doby Gaou - Plastic Extruder Working Group

sorry for posting but to me it is a not good setup. the print have been printed the way that is in the photo? I am trying to say that the the z rods dont seem to be in 90 degrees with the bed . just take some measurements there and i think you 'll find ur problem. did you have this issue from the beggining ? Before you setup the printer did you see if the z rods where smooth and there wereby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Guys the last days i am dealing terrible extrusion problem. I am not able to print even 1hour without the extruded jam or losing steps ( after many lose steps it jams again) . I have searched and examine everything in the extruder and the last thing i have done was to replase the last part of the ptfe tube with copper pipe ( havent tested yet ) . So are there any tips that i ignore for the extrby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Να ειστε καλά .by Gaou - Greek RepRap User Group, ελληνική ομάδα χρηστών
Guys hi again. I was wondering if there are any ways to clean a hot end while it is attached to the printer ? I was wondering if some drops of acetone would do the job ? My printhead is not clogged but i need to clean it every now and then . Thanks in advance, Pavlosby Gaou - Safety & Best Practices
thanks man . i ll try to get it at 1.75by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
QuoteDownunder35m One of the problems if you get away from the 1.74 and 3mm sizes is that you nedd custom made parts from the extruder down to the actual nozzle tip. ok other than this . I mean if i produse 1.85mm filament would it be able to be extruded from my mendel or i ll have problems printing with that. ?by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Guys hello again. I am in the procces of creating my own filament and i was wondering what sizes are "the no go" and i should avoid? also the problem with bigger diameters is the clocked extruder (i think at least ) what is it the problem with the smaller one? i mean if i l ll insert 1.5mm inside the tube and adjust the slic3r on the right filament width what would be the problem ? Thanks guys beby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
I ll tell you what i have done . First of all i had some wraping with pla but it was from a unlevel bed. Once i got this leved and everything was tight then the pla wraping stopped. Other than this i printed with some glue on the tape . That help a lot but i wasn't able to take out the part so in fear of a broken glass i haven't done this again. The close chamber will help but it is an expensiveby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Guys hi, This is my first post out of the mendel topic, and i dont know if it is in the right session but i really didn't knew where to put it . I am getting to the point now. As you ve already understand i am happy owner of a reprappro mendel 3 for some months . But i would like to start to build one more using printed parts. Guys i am here again. The belt drive keep getting off the hot end carriage and in the begging i kind of liking it as i wasn't afraid of the stepper motor getting damaged through a bad x homing. Quotebgkdavis It puzzles me why people with a duet still use pronterface, get the web interface working, you won't regret it. the web interface was not recommended if i can recall. i set this up but never used it . i think i ve tried to send a print but there wasn't good results. I am trying to remember where i ve read about this . QuotebgkdavisG32 is the bed level proceedure right?, I guess Iby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Here i am again guys with some more questions about printing procedure. First thing i am trying to understand how the g32 command work ( not that i ve searched it a lot...) . My basic question is where it is writing the values. What i am doing is when i starting the pronterface i am sending a home all command and after that i am sending a g32 command while i am erasing the homing procedure insiby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
ladies and gentleman hello, After a while that i have been off the 3d printing cause of the lack of materials i am back again with an upgrade i want to do for my printer. I want to add one ore extruder . The question is if it can be done and if so does anyone knows what would i need ? Also i know that some people uses hair spray for bonding objects to the table. Ian first of all thanks for ur reply. Concerning the T0 command i dont have a problem when a print gets printed but i have problem when i want to extrude some filament by my own through the software. The prints are ok ( i dont get any message ) . I add it to the config but it didn't help. Every time i want to extrude some filament i have to send T0 manually and then get temps and extrude filamby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
ok guys i have printed my first prints but i am getting poor quality at the bottom ( first layers ) . i am attaching some photos . I also have a problem with the hottend as i am getting "no tool selected" after my last update to firmware. I have to set T0 but the problem is that i have put it in the config file and still i have to send T0. I think that writing this down to the config would solveby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
I am interesting too for this as i can't level my bed for 3 days now. But when i first saw it i was wondering if it can work with the board and if so how difficult would that be as i know my sensor has 4 cables and this one has 3. Is it bad to print it on pla ?by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Things are sorted out from Mr Ian. But after a firmware update i cant set the hot end temp as it keeps respong "no tool selected" Any idea ? ok i have send T0 and it is ok now. DO i have to add the T0 to the config file ?by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
