Hi I am building a prusa i3 and uncertain about power supplys, at the moment im waiting on motors and arduino to arrive but i want to be able to test the equipment once it arrives. I salvaged this from a pc but uncertain it will work can anyone point me in the correct direction please thanks sorry for the big pictureby chris33 - General
hi do stock the t2.5 pulleys and belts and i can't get nothing into the basketby chris33 - For Sale
hi tried to buy stuff but it wont let me add to basket?by chris33 - For Sale
also i know that theres a lot of work going into getting the box version rp parts too work with the single plate and noticed that the version u showed has the box version rp parts, also to my knowledge the bed size was 200x200x200 but i could be wrong and they might of made a upgrade, it is good value for money but i don't know the tax system works in the us my build is going to cost £387 and i tby chris33 - General
to be honest my opinion the whole point of the single frame was to get rid of the threaded rod frame.(ive seen plenty run without and see no movement) so i don't see the point in the z support bar, i know the twelvepro has the support braces which i would go for, but i am building the single plate version, when my motors arrive ill post a pic with just the motors attached showing it stood verticaby chris33 - General

whats the total length from top to tip as they say please cheersby chris33 - General
I am freecad addicted although how many variants of extruder design I have gone through is unbelievable, but with free cad over openscad is i use the part workbench and basically its simple w.y.s.i.w.y.g without the coding, although i had to go back to openscad to do nut traps but still was imported into freecad. My design I started getting the model of stepper imported that and work around thatby chris33 - General
I know by the past month how openscad is a learning curve, but I stumbled across freecad. Since using freecad it easier design parts for me, for instance im designing a new extruder, and being able to import stl s I can put all the parts together too see if they fit.by chris33 - General
Where will i find the information on torque values and spindle speeds for different materials and thickness's, cheersby chris33 - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping

I'm building a single plate alu yes it is hard to buy the parts from vendors who sell on there websites and on ebay, but not too difficult to get someone on here to print them once i get my printer going im going to print few parts but prob by then there will be a i4 out lolby chris33 - General Mendel Topics
i got my ramps for £57 roughly 56 in euro and think 87$ from china have not tested it yet because no arduino yet but that come end on month i got mine from g3d gadgets fast shipping toby chris33 - Reprappers
single sheet aluminium prusa i3 is 200x200 so i consider it a reasonable size for that particular design as i am new and what i have read so i don't really know what other printers have bigger printable area than 200x200, obviously too don't know what how high on the z axis due to the rockstocks out there.I was the same whether to go for the i2 or i3, but i went for rigibility of the i3, couldn'tby chris33 - General Mendel Topics
Actually I agree just made me look at a old post that someone lives near me but better contact me by email, that person shows up the same as this person, Also if you click on name it shouldn't go straight to email weirdby chris33 - General Mendel Topics

You have any idea how I can create a spring in openscadby chris33 - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
Could we have a thread dedicated too openscad in software maybe also im confused on the thread library want make something with a m5 thread and other sizes for other projects.by chris33 - General
similar idea as mine I am just getting the hang of openscad, the principle is that collar (blue) there will be a spring in the center of it. How it would work in principle, the tool head would go to a referenced cup holding the tool bit, the cup holding the tool will have the same diameter as the blue collar,as the tool head lowers it pushes the collar up making the hole in collater (red) bitby chris33 - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
its ok i have a idea how to go about it thanksby chris33 - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping
Well yeah my estimated b.o.m is around £397, with the fun of sourcing parts and getting cost down, when it comes down to rp parts, quality in my opinion comes down to the fact, is it functional because i can print better visual parts once printers made and calibrated. It also giving me time by doing it this way is making me read learn all I can on 3d printing. Its crazy how from last week I startby chris33 - General
Heres what i put on thingiverse the extruder im going to use Geared stepper extruder, I have not tried it, but should work with geared stepper motor in the description. I changed the underneath hole to accept the e3d hotend.by chris33 - General
To be honest the problems I have had so far as been minimal although its not built yet, but changing the 3mm holes on plastic parts, enabling me to tap the 3mm holes to 4mm worked. I am going for the e3d hotend and have made tiny adjustmenst on extruder and made a groovemount plate to fit the e3d, ill post it tonight as im in work and you are right theres so many different builds.by chris33 - General
just a question i'm intending to get one of these for my build so if i get a piece of aluminium cut for the groove mount no heat will get transferred to that?by chris33 - General

i've got a brush plating kit it comes with a basic transformer, but my understanding depends on what material your plating theres different voltages you use also you'll need to prepare the surface your plating, making sure the areas clean and free from contaminants and the workpiece would have too be negatively charged, but i suppose reading through the post electroplating has probably advanced lby chris33 - General
to be honest it was cheaper to get the aluminium water jetted than 6mm acrylic £50 for aluminium £57 for acrylic, I was trying strum up so interest in the aluminium frame to fund my project, but the guy from spain pretty reasonable so knock me of my price, i looked into dibond but u cant thread it i've been told, but wouldn't effect nothing just put a washer and nut behind. My i3 build is takingby chris33 - General
