Sorry I tried to search this topic but didn’t find anything.
I use a command G0 x150 y150 z0 to check / calibrate z offset.
I just saw the same command but using G1 x150 y150 z0 ..
Why/when would you use G1 vs G0?

Hi Dave
Lol that's exactly the plugin I used and exactly the mistake I made (using ; on the same line)
I'll try putting on different lines.
Thanks!

Hi all
Im trying to find a way to "bookmark" / shortcut some GCode commands
Actually 3 commands in 1.
G28;G29;G1 Z0
Basically auto home, level and go to Z0 ... i use this for calibrating z offset but have to send the command via octoprint or pronterface.
Is there a way to save this Gcode command "G28;G29;G1 Z0" to Marlin LCD screen so i can just scroll and click instead 1 button instead of se

Wow.
This looks perfect..danke schön!
I've never used a cast before but looking at the pictures I think I just fill one piece of the mold with the putty then place other piece (covered with separator like Vaseline ) inside first piece and squish until cured?
Can cast be PLA or Abs?
Can't wait to try on my E3d V6lite.
Hopefully rebuilding hotend and this silicone cover will stop my hot end

Having some issues with "cold extrusion prevented" / jams on PLA recently and want to try something new.
I was told wrapping heat block with aramid/Teflon cloth + kapton is a good way to insulate heat from external airflow but cloth and tape seems non user friendly / inaccurate.
Has anyone tried using silicone paste or sugru etc as a way to mould an external skin for the aluminum heat block?

Hi George
This looks great. Is there a github or something for the code?

Every time you have changed a parameter in marlin, you have to use M502 & M500 to permanently store the new values in eeprom.
No matter if you changed this parameter by LCD or in the editor/IDE and reflash the controller.
Hi o_lampe thanks for the input.
So if I make changes in arduino then upload to controller would I do M500 right away?
I'm confused as to why I would use M50

Sorry to ask this dumb question but if/when I upload edited Marlin confit are the changes permenantly stored in eeprom?
Or do I have to explicitly do that manually using options in LCD.
I like to restart machine often but wasn't sure if I would lose modifications after restart or if they automatically get saved to eeprom.
Thanks

I'm not even done with my first build and am already looking forward to v2.
Thinking between Delta, CoreXY or SLA using dual ips screens....
But first some coffee.

Are you sure it's not the “#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER” instead?
