QuoteQwikFab Hi bigfilsing, QwikFab does have a limited range (at the moment) of 3mm PLA filaments that you may look at, at our website: www.qwikfab.com However, do note that for Black and White 3mm PLA we will be restocking soon. May I ask how many would you like? So that I can gauge how many to bring in. Thanks but i've already managed to organise some. I am interested inflexible & carboby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG

the main difference is whether your system is using a 4.7k pull up or a 1 k The only major difference in the other options is the temp tables because thermisistors are not linear. You should still get things working using the standard setting ..its just using the correct tables makes in more accurateby bigfilsing - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi It depnds on what controller board you are using in conjunction with with thermo couple. Some need a 4.7k pull up some need 1 K Heres the text from the Marlin config.h i use ....it might help you figure out what you need to do Good luck //=========================================================================== //=============================Thermal Settings ======================by bigfilsing - Firmware - mainstream and related support

Just my 2 cents You cant always read your firmware back from your controller . For example my Gen6d control board wont let me do this. The best you can hope for is that whoever configured the firmware put some info in the Marlin config. This then is part of the message you receive in pronter face when you "connect" My suggestion would be to figure out what (controller) you have and configure iby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
Quoteregpye Quotejcabrer Disclaimer: This probably has nothing to do with the print problems you are showing us. Nobody has mentioned the flex couplings. I have a Prusa Mendel with the same type of coupling. It's not a huge deal, but consider that the entire X-axis is essentially being suspended from a couple of springs. I've been putting off designing a solution for this, but now that I seeby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
Mmmmh Your glass plate has to be very clean ..use rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner ...some people swear by lemon juice. How do you level your print bed ..cant see clearly from the photo. You should be adjusting it so when the Z axis is homed you can just move a piece of ordinary ink jet paper between the nozzle tip and the glass plate. Do this in at least 3 ( i prefer 4) location on the prby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
Just my 2 cents trying to help Comments:- Photo1 > Get some crocodile clips for your glass print plate....Tape wont hack it. On the left Z axis stepper ...don't wrap the wires around it like that. May give all kinds of bogus / signal interference. Make sure you set your nozzle bed height when the heated bed is on and up to temp Photo 2 > X axis belt doesn't lby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
to get an idea of pricing i always use ebay>> cant really go wrong there as an indicator end stops come in 2 main sorts> Optical and mechanical. Most people tend to use mechanical as far as i know ( easier to check and adjust) The mounting is identical for both types. Again check ebay and you'll see the difference Quick search on this forum will tell you the in's n outs of the 2 typeby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
QuoteRP Iron Man Quotebigfilsing Thoughts As the core is off center from the fins surely the cooling will cause the barrel to distort/bend due to unequal thermal expansion. Since it is machined from SS, I think the unequal thermal expansion will be negligible. Eric Probably true, the main issue being stiction of the filament in a "bent" barrel. I don't have any experience with any of the 4 so cant help you there. You may be better off asking that question on the main international forum rather than the Singapore one. I suppose i would go for the cheapest!! Simply because 3D hobby printing is much like RC models . Its not a 1 off purchase. Always tricky to say and if i do ill get all kinds of grief from people that disagree. The ones you have listed there all seem ok so get the best you can afford is the simple advice. And as you say there's plenty of info and support on the forums for all the machines you listed I would suggest you start with PLA. Simply because it doesn't smell/need ventilation like ABS does and prints at lowerby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG

bad news about your order i have recently posted the cost of building a Prusa Air 2 so you can check that thread also just found RS components are stocking kits now !!
