Hello, i'd like to use ramps 1.4 with mach3, is it possible to do so? is there a ramps datasheet available for mach3? thank you Maxby proctor - RAMPS Electronics
Very interesting, would you have the necessary torque to move the extruder and its support with hobby servos? With which speed will it move? i've already thought about something similar but had to abandon the project because it would have been very slow. You said the speed you expected it's of 200mm/s... What would you use? Stepper or hobby servos? Can you please tell wich specs you expect? thx Mby proctor - Delta Machines
I've uploaded the sjfw firmare on the gen4 through replicatorG, I've configured the printer through the reprap.xml file as described on the firmware site. I've selected the sjfw machine: connected it succesfullt. In the control panel the temperatures seem to work fine but if I try to move the axis in the replicatorG terminal i get an error: 2 lines with: error the axis are not configured, what shby proctor - General
mhm ok, thank you, is possible put Repetier firmware in the gen4? how? thank you maxby proctor - General
How do I set the 5D firmware on a Gen4(with arduino 1280)? thank youby proctor - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I've got these boards: gen4, Ramps and Sanguinololu. I wanted to know if it was possible to control the acceleration of each motor: I mean how do I set for example a 3000 mm/s^2 for the X axis? Do I do this via Gcode, firmware or through the program that controls the machine (pronterface, replicatorG or similar), how do i set this and where? Thank youby proctor - General

too much stepper motor (my opinion)by proctor - Developers
mhm i check my bearing, i think that is ok because: without the beltmy bed glide freely but when i put the belt T5 the glide isn't good like before... on pronterface i have this setting: now i'm tring to change the X pololu with Z pololu, for check the problem in the pololu but i dont think the problem is there... what do you think? thanksby proctor - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
do you have advices on how to solve 1 and 2 problems? i tried tons of different pulley tension configuration so i really think it's either the stepper or the friction, how do i solve these problems? thanksby proctor - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
you can use mix stepper motors for your prusa, but for Z axis i think is better 2 identically stepper motorsby proctor - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
hello, i just started printing a couple new larger designs. I also upgraded my prusa with linear bearings. In my last prints (the larger ones) I'm losing steps. Example: I need to print a cube with a hole in it. After a couple layers the hole doesnt come up in the right place (usually it gets translated by 2mm). What problem can it be? How do I solve this? i wanna try it! can you give to me one piece for do any test? thanks youby proctor - General
yes, i understand that, i've found this software is it good or not? i wanna try that! but (i think) i need a bluetooth modem for sanguino or ramps (i've got 1 sanguino and 1 ramps+arduino 1280) is it right? thanks and merry xmasby proctor - Sanguino(lolu)
hi, can you tell me how and where i can buy shiled for add to my ramps v1.4 + arduino mega 1280? i would like: bluetooth (i read on thingvers one topic about a program for phone device like iphone or android for controll the reprap with the phone) wifi module lan for connection to the pc sd card (not micro sd, normal sd) is there other shiled? can you tellme how i can connect the shiled to my elby proctor - RAMPS Electronics

hi, i found it: what do you think about it? is good or not? what kind of fluid is it? did you tried it? thanksby proctor - General
I looked at a couple posts, and i'm still very confused. I am developing some new ideas and i want to make some improvements. I am a student and this can be pretty expensive. i just wanted to know what were the exact policies about selling assembled repraps or reprap based printers (i'm showing a new design pretty soon) to finance my research and development of these ideas. Thanks for the supportby proctor - General
thank you very much everything went fine! i fixed it by connecting the motors in series.by proctor - General
@nophead: Thanks, tomorrow I will try to connect in series with the motor. @jcabrer: Thanks, before any operation always unplug electronic power supply and USB. You wrote: Are you sure? each the pololu is 2A and each my stepper are 2.5A; the Z-axis Pololu is connected to two motors (2,5A+2,5A)... is it ok? I have 4 heatsinks stuck on the Pololus. Still not working... I'm mounting 2.5 A Stepper motors, might that be a problem? Can I solve the problem by increasing the voltage to 24V (now i'm at 12V)by proctor - General
I disconnected the right Z motor and the left one turns fine... How does this happen? When I turn the potentiometers on the Pololus the sanguinololu stops being recognized by pronterface when I click the connect buttonby proctor - General
I've already turned the potentiometer clockwise as much as i could with no success. I'll try the other ways you told me. EDIT: nothing worked, i tried to change the speed settings on pronterface but nothing happened, tried also different configurations with the sprinter driver, i manaege to upload it to the sanguinololu but after that i wasn't even able to move my x and y axis... could it be thaby proctor - General
i just built a prusa. and successfully connected it through a snguinololu to my computer. X and Y axis are working just fine, they dont even need calibration. the Z axis, however, doesnt move. i'm using pronterface and when i try to move the Z axis i just hear the motor's noise and no movement. what can it be? maybe the pololus dont give enough to the Z motors? i also connected the X axis to theby proctor - General
I was wondering if the system currently used by the Prusa is the only one feaseble. I have to admit that at first it looked pretty weird to see that the working bed was responsible for the x axis. I also saw a hp printer in which the bed moved up and down for the z axis. Now wouldn't it be more rational for the extruder to be moved in all the axis like in other CNC machinery?by proctor - Mechanics
So i do the following: 1 install firmware on the arduino 2 connect the ramps to the arduino 3 open repsnapper or similar and try to heat up the nozzle am i missing something between point 2 and 3? EDIT: I've seen that there is a test code to test the ramps trough the arduino program do i open the file on the arduino program and then upload it to the arduino like i did for the firmware? and thby proctor - RAMPS Electronics
