Hi Viktor, did you use this one for ceramic slurry? Was thinking about building this for my first tests. My question is, where do you attach it to the reprap. It looks really high, is it stable when printing or do you use it on a McWire type of machine?by unfold - Paste Extrusion Working Group

Nice, so you glue the uncut material on top of the previous cut layers and then you cut. Laser cut green sheet came razor sharp out of the kils. Yeah for the lazerrr! Engravings where to low power. Next session will be deeper engraving and lom fabbing.by unfold - Mechanics
Just went for the Skeinforge + ReplicatorG combo today and must say that this runs fine (simulation). The only hickup was that I set my Java preferences to prefer Java 6 over 5 before and therefore ReplicatorG crashed after a test run.by unfold - RepRap Host

I think it is a valid point that the OSX page should be more descriptive about the state of that port and how to get it working. Or (as I understand) the alternatives like Skienforge or ReplicatorG. I'm on leopard and after 7 hours trying still not able to run the host software. I think that when RepRap continues expanding at the present tempo and getting more mature that the amount of people usiby unfold - RepRap Host

Hi Viktor, Sounds good! Can't you use the reprap software to make the horizontal slices. There's a step in the workflow that does the slicing no? There's also a lot of CAD software that can do slicing, you only would have to rearrange the slices on the same plane for cutting. I would love to try making a usefull part in this technique but have no idea where to look for a suitable part. Guess I'lby unfold - Mechanics
mmm... found the thread but doesn't help. tried to pull the RXTX lib from inside Processing 1.0. Threw it in the host software folder and the main Java extensions folder. Now I get something, it starts and I get the exact error from the first post in this thread. Then tried to use the iharder one and now RXTX seems to run fine but i get the next one: Experimental: JNI_OnLoad called. Stable Liby unfold - RepRap Host

added some photos of keraflex. One shows various tests done at FabLab with the Epilog laser, both cutting and engraving. This is pre-baking aka green state on top of a alumina firing plate. The other shows two examples of lightly bend laminated objects after baking. Two layers glued together with slurry.by unfold - Mechanics
Hi, While reading thru all the search results on "ceramic" for my ceramic reprap project I was thinking about a method for producing an insulator with laminated object manufacturing. To be honest, I have no real idea what this insulator would need to look like since I am new here, do not own a reprap yet and I am a bit to lazy to dig true all the documentation to search for the part although I dby unfold - Mechanics
hi viktor, That 'all dates' hint was what i needed, thanks! Have been searching the forums before and did find some stuff about ceramics but I overlooked this setting. Will search again, also for your waterglass posts. I am also researching a bit into ceramic injection molding (CIM) since they use a thermoplastic resin mixed with ceramic powder. hi pumpernickel, Yes, I've seen those videos some time ago but thanks for mentioning them! A contourcrafting head can be added to the list of possible designs. Heres a list of free (as in free beer) or DIY 3d scanners: I tried DAVID 3d and it works if you have a good setup (good cam, narrow laser) It can also stitch multiple scans The open source tool works very well for optimizing 3d scan data.
