Here is my BoM for Sanguinololu 1.3A The only thing you will need to edit is the 10 pin male header. I have it set to 16 instead of 8. I have been working on completing a Dual DigiKey and Mouser BoM Spreadsheet. I just need to finalize some things and I will add it to the Wiki. I also think Joem_ will have some of the PCBs and Kits back in stock very soon.by SCphotog - Sanguino(lolu)

I created a IRC Channel for chipKIT RepRap Dev. its #chipkit I had been planning on porting to the ChipKIT Max32 since I got my boards 2 weeks before release. Is this still active?by SCphotog - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

I don't see where there is a problem with the compiler being sort of closed. MPIDE is 100% free and will always remain that way. Digilent provides all the schematics, brd files and code free for download on the ChipKIT pages. The compiler is still GCC based so if someone wanted to write an open libc for it then it would be 100% OS. At least that is my understanding of the matter. Atmel has clby SCphotog - RAMPS Electronics
I am in the process of porting sprinter to the Max32. Its a little more complicated than just uploading the firmware to the board. There was a lot of code in Sprinter that is AVR specific and will not work on the chipKIT out of the box. Not even all of the arduino libs are working on the chipKIT at this point. I know that the Servo lib is one of them. I have a post about it in the RAMPS forum anby SCphotog - General
I covered Digilent's ChipKIT Arduino Compatible MCU boards for them when they launched a few months back. I have 2 of the Arduino Mega compatible boards and was thinking of maybe porting one of the RAMPS firmwares to work. For those of you who do not know what ChipKIT is rather than filling this post up with all of the info on the boards you can read my article here . The ChipKIT boards are progrby SCphotog - RAMPS Electronics
I would have picked up some Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy for the heatsinks. That's what we use when adding heat sinks to the RAM on video cards when we water cool them.by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I work on the side as a PC hardware reviewer / tech writer and I have quite a few different high end thermal paste and hatve contacts at all the major manufacturers. I will have to run some test and figure out what works the best for our application here. Once I get my machine up and running I will get started on it.by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
What are you sealing in the resistor and thermistor with on your block style heater core? I noticed that Nophead uses fire cement, I saw someone use high temp RTV and another used high temp epoxy. What is everyone using? Also what are you insulating the bare wires with? I assume a fiberglass braid is used. Where would one order that from?by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Thanks Brian and Thanks to everyone else who replied! I will be purchasing parts from Brian. I will be sure to post photos!by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Hey Brian. If you can do $7.50 each shipped to 29805 I will take 2. I will be able to paypal Thursday. I would love to try out the other hot end design but I have 10lbs of PLA and already purchased all the other hot end parts. Maybe next month I can talk myself into buying one with the heat sink from you to play around with. I guess I will do .25 and .35 for the orifice.by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Can you post a photo of the nozzles Brian?by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I have the PEEK Sheet, PTFE Rod, Brass bar stock for heater block, Resistor and Thermistor already. I just want a nozzle like this. Can you make just that Brian? Or does someone know where it can be purchased online in the US?by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I posted the photo. Not sure why it didn't show up. Here is the link to it.by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I am looking for a place in the US to buy this nozzle. I have everything to make this hot end except the nozzle.by SCphotog - Plastic Extruder Working Group

If the admins would switch to a better message board software we could easily work around the spam bots. I am part of the staff on a very large computer site and between 4 of us we curb the spam bots and spammers before they get past 3 post. There is no better solution than vbullitin.by SCphotog - General

Most of the parts hes making are for cars long past production and who's companies are long gone. I am sure those parts fall within some creative commons or something like old books.by SCphotog - General

IT was not lame. What you fail to realize is that a child of this project we are all a member of made it onto national tv.
