is your gcode good? I sometimes not that happy how thin sections are sliced.by sungod3k - Printing
Hairspray. my number one since years. You can also dremel, sand or sandblast the glass that also helps. Or buy one of these new printing padsby sungod3k - Printing
ah yes, thats looks similar to what I had in mind.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
aha interesting point. ill keep an eye out for that. unfortunately i couldn't order 2040 from my European supplier. I guess cross bracing combats twisting better than reinforced bracketsby sungod3k - Delta Machines
1. not directly but its very easy to slip on the pot and short the driver or the whole board. you can easily dremel your self a tool out of an old toothbrush or so. 2. they do that either because the are underpowered or just they do that anyway. depends a bit on the brand. i also experienced that the whine vanished after some hours of use.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
I ordered parts for 1000mm and plan on using 2020. I think with some reinforcements on the brackets and maybe some cross bracing with cheap L stock that will work fine. However 2040 is not that much more expensive my European supplier just didn't have 2040.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
yeah this part is meant facing down because its the top bracket. the bottom bracket would have the extension facing up. your right that if the top bracket is facing down and has reinforcements on the side it would block z height. that wouldn't work, but on the bottom bracket you could reinforce the sides as well, because the sliders shouldn't go so far down anyway. i think I have at least 10cmby sungod3k - Delta Machines
Ok good. I have to check how far down my arms reach in the maximum position, then I have some space to anchor it in the sides as well,by sungod3k - Delta Machines
Hi, Im building a 50x100cm Cherry-Pi/Wolfstock hybrid with Vslots and Im thinking of ways to stabilize the frame besides cross bracing. Since the backside of the extrusions is free I though about extending the top and bottom brackets. What do you guys think? Is it worth spending the extra material?by sungod3k - Delta Machines
Hi, I was wondering if there is a toolkit that lets you modify openscad files on you website like, the customizer does on thingiverse? Cheersby sungod3k - 3D Design tools
Im building a similar size now, have you thought about cross bracing?by sungod3k - Delta Machines
I have the same issue sometimes. From what I found out it has something to do with order of infill and perimeter. You cant really control these things I guess because its also not possible to tell slicer to make only as few as possible jumps from one spot to another. Have you found something out about it? otherwise we can only hope that it vanishes in future versions.by sungod3k - Slic3r
Nope as far as I understand it extrusion width adjust the spacing as well. I need a spacing separate from the extruded amount.by sungod3k - Printing
Hi, is there any slicer out there that can adjust the flow for different functions, like you can adjust the speed in Slic3r for infill, perimeters etc? I have good calibration and flow except for top layer infill. Sometimes it looks pretty good, sometimes there is overfill in corners/direction changes and sometimes there is underfill on long stretches of straight infill. I would really like toby sungod3k - Printing
Hi, I will need a dark/wine-red and a very dark blue PLA filament for a print job soon. Has anyone every seen materials like this before? or a manufacturer with a big color palette. The normal sources mostly have very bright colors. Cheersby sungod3k - General
What are the advantages? RichRap just released designs for a pellet extruder...by sungod3k - General
tridprinting.com. its us based but their prices are low and shipping is also reasonable.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
you mean this stuff? " Suitable for rotary, oscillating and linear movements" sounds spot on .by sungod3k - Delta Machines
I think your calculation is mostly right, Im sourcing arms as well now and the rules I follow are "side lenthg * 80% = arm length" (the google doc I think uses the same rule) and "angle of base to arm in maximum position should be bigger than 20°" I will by my arms from trid printing and then have 4-5 sizes there you could check for which machines they sell arms and how the dimensions are there.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
here for example, it looks much more pronounced on the pic and when the flash hits the shiny black material and here http://printnewworlds.blogspot.nl/2014/01/fine-thread-z-axis.html is my quest that made it better. also my machine uses xl timing belts which are probably causing some parts of this artifact as well. with mechnical tensioning I mean that all belts and screws are tight to miniby sungod3k - General
Those are confirmed and now they gotten better by themselves, they also arent as pronounced when I go to 0.1mm layerheight. What I would like to have in slic3r besides the flow rate is a setting to space the the perimeters and infill closer together. I have the feeling that could in some situations.by sungod3k - Printing
90C? or 190? just checking I think you have z axis artifatcs there, my machine also has only one asymetrical leadscrew and Im having a similar pattern. I can't really see how pronounced it is on the small pic but they are to be expected. Aside from correct calibration and and mechanical tensioning you could consider replacing the lead screw with ACME or trapezoidal screws. I myself replaced myby sungod3k - General
How can the ground have 2V Or am I reading that wrong? The voltage should only be measured between positive and negative on the D9 terminal.by sungod3k - Reprappers
Hey, Im building a Wolfstock/Cherry PI hybrid and Im sourcing the arms now. Tridprinting offers them with Traxxas joints. http://www.tridprinting.com/Mechanical-Parts/#3D-Printer-Rod-Kit Has anyone ever bought them or uses similar joints and can give me pros and cons compared to magnets? Cheersby sungod3k - Delta Machines
Great I'll check it out. E3D in the meantime also offers a drive gear which should fit my need. this hear you mean right? great price for experiementation.by sungod3k - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I recently dabbled a bit in Cura and although its to simple to use for most prints i had better top solid layers than I get in slicer. So my main issues in slicer are that in the corners there is too much material. it like the spacing is to small and the layers are folding over each other. and the second shows up next to the top solid perimeter. the layer near the perimeter extrusion looks streby sungod3k - Printing
I could put additional walls in the model surrounding the space i want thicker. It has to be closer than the layerwidth, but then the inside wont be interpreted as the inside anymore and I have to manually support the ceiling which sounds like a lot of workby sungod3k - General
Hi, Santa brought me a drill tap kit so I started using it successfully on my models. I usually have 3 perimeters but when I cut screws this is getting to thin. Im looking for a reliable way to increase wall thickness only in parts of the model. Iby sungod3k - General
