Yes there are loads of them but they are easier to find online. A good way is to order them online and get them delivered to your hotel / or a friends place before you arrive there. If you want I can help you order online . I live in Beijing and get all my electronics and motors from Guangzhouby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
@MrDoctorDIV thanks .. also if you want to try it i have uploaded sample g-code and the script here... should work on any printer ... github published on hack a dayby ekaggrat - Delta Machines

@payala I calibrated the steps by centering the carriage and then moving along z axis by 100 mm... and the steps are very close to 100 mm.... is there a formula to calulate the steps per mm from the spool diameter? i am using aluminum spools and they measure 18.3 mm diameter exactly. and the spectra cord is 0.7mm in diameter....by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
i finally managed to complete my 3dr delta after almost 4 months,,, I replaced my spools with aluminum ones .. the rest of the specs are stock ... There 2 issues i am still not able to solve... 1. The calibration cube is 0.2 mm bigger in y and 0.5 mm in z direction ... how do you correct this?? 2. when the cooling fan (80 mm fan mounted on the side) comes on the j-head looses temperature by alby ekaggrat - Delta Machines
a better way would be to mount both the motors on the base .. something like this forums.reprap.orgby ekaggrat - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
i have been playing around with a dual color mixing extruder... what i want now is to build a manual electronics control board which would take the motor pulses from the ramps board and drive two pololus in a certain ratio . The ratio can be determined by a simple knob... So when i turn the knob the ratio changes in real time.... any ideas how to implement this? one way is to use a frequency divby ekaggrat - Controllers
great work... I like the big wheel on the extruder... any sample prints using the new extruder? i am curious about the retract speed with the 1:100 geared extruder you have usedby ekaggrat - General
@gyrobot any chance of sharing the script. the aprinter frimware supports gcode for two extruders in the following format : " g1 x100 y100 e10 u 20 " if you could share your script i could change it to that format and then use it on my dual color mixing extruder... thanksby ekaggrat - Developers
@thejollygrimreaper This is what i figured out by trial and error that the ptfe sleeve should not be going all the way till the end of the nozzle but should stop before Thanks for confirming that . I printed a lot of intricate stuff using this hot end and it works fine with plaby ekaggrat - Reprappers
@A2 i drilled the hole with a 1.8mm drill ... then reamed it with a 2mm reamer and then tried polishing with the sand technique... it gets a near smooth surface but still has some grooves... maybe you are right the retracting of the reamer must be causing it... i will try again soon ... for now it is the ptfe sleeve in the barrel .. thanks again for the feedbackby ekaggrat - Reprappers
after trying to get the polishing on the inside of the stainless mirror smooth i just gave up and made one with a sleeve.... i figured out that the sleeve only in the stainless pipe didnt increase the pressure to extrude and also the problem of PLA jamming is also avoided... this is my version of a semi metal hotend ... mostly inspired from the argento and MK7 hot endby ekaggrat - Reprappers
cheap electronics = burn electronics...... cheap printer kit = months of frustration and ultimately junking of the project ... so beware,,, in my opinion it is not possible to source parts below a certain cost even from china... so anything which is VERY cheap is ultimately going in the bin...by ekaggrat - India RUG

@jeremie have you polished 2mm inner dia tubes if so what drill bit did you use? the idea of using sand is very innovative ... also what is the appropriate place to stop the PTFE tube?by ekaggrat - Reprappers
@a2 thats a nice tool !!!! was looking for something like that but didn't know what it was called.... will try it soonby ekaggrat - Reprappers
@RP Iron Man the m4pipe with 1.75mm and m5 pipe with 3mm should work fine as the wall thickness of the barrel would be less and the heat transferred would be also low... I have build two of my own hotend using the barrel from the mk7 extruder and they work great ... i also tried making one with a sleeve in it and that failed badly that's why the question of the sleeve came up ... but it could bby ekaggrat - Reprappers
Been there done that .. It will work for this.. I built the same thing using a 6v 1 amp supply using unipolar nema 17 motors.by ekaggrat - Developers
yes you can use but at 0.25- 0.4 amps per motor.... a better supply would be 2 ampsby ekaggrat - Developers
@a2 i haveQuoteFirst I've read that the force to push a filament through a Teflon sleeve takes more force than a SS barrel. Can you share your experience, and thoughts of why this occurred. i have j-head clone which had a sleeve going through till the nozzle.. the pressure to extrude 1.75 mm filament is a lot more compared to a standard j-head ... Also i have mk7 hotend,,, the pressure to extrby ekaggrat - Reprappers
hi, lately i have noticed that a lot of the new hotends are ditching the groove in the neck used to contain the melt zone.... Is this a correct design decision or have they made a change to make manufacturing more easy.. Also i have noticed the a lot of them have also started inserting a PTFE sleeve all the way upto the end of the nozzle .. In my experience that increases the pressure need to eby ekaggrat - Reprappers

@a2 with the current scanners in the diy range it is not possible to get that kind or resolution... the problem is the the laser light getting scattered on the object.. you could at max get a resolution of 0.2 - 0.5mm but after mesh smoothing you loose details... i had built my own scanner long before i had a reprap... it was based on a scanner done in Stanford... back then i had used a webcam wby ekaggrat - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics

@zacbot what carriages did you use for your belt drive on the 3dr? did you get better print quality with the belt?by ekaggrat - Delta Machines
hi i suddenly noticed a odd scaling issue in my mendelmax... objects that are bigger than 50 mm print with exact dimensions but as i go smaller to objects to a size of 20 to 10 mm they turn out under sized by .3 to 0.5mm ... is this normal or something is wrong... till now it didnt matter so much but now since i am trying to print spools for the 3dr delta they are turning out 17.6mm instead ofby ekaggrat - Reprappers
