Hi every one, I have built my own design, wich use a buddaschnozzle hotend with a 0.5mm nozzle. I have this problem, the first 3 or 4 layers are gorgeous, but then, the filament doesn't glue to the previous layer every where, conducting to a rough layer as you can well see on picture IMAG070, and it becomes naturally worst every next layers.... I tried changing every parameters but can't find hby victorjung - Printing
There is no problem i mean i bought many through them, you are dealing with the same kind of pro and cons you have when buying to chines ebay dealers.by victorjung - General
ok i corrected it, i wasn t extruding enough but i got the same trouble as before,by victorjung - General
thanks for everything, it seems that i have either a problem or a misunderstood if i extrude 30mm with pronterface i barely get 7mm, the 30mm seems to be 30mm of 0.4mm extruded filament and not of the 3mm one. Asking to extrude, 10mm in pronterface, should move 10mm of filament into the hotend? or extrude 10mm of 0.4mm filament? thanks for that, it's not clear to meby victorjung - General
ps, i use my own design a kind of big mendel, with a buddaschnozzleby victorjung - General
here a bigger one. So according to me, the filament isn't spread correctly when the three first layer are done. As i succeeded the thin wall print, i think that after a few layers, the part is too hot, and soft, and that's why the filament doesn't spread well. what do you call the E steps? step per mm for the extruder in configuration.h? cause i set it, but never modified it. What could it chanby victorjung - General
HI, guys i don't know what more i can do to improve my pla prints, there is so many parameters to change... here are mine actually, printing temp: 190°c i print on 3m blue scotch i don't cool the printed part( i think it's my problem) 10mm.s-1 speed layer height 0.16mm nozzle 0.4mm. i join my slicer config file for more informations. just ask me if you need infomations i didn't gave! Thanks aby victorjung - General
i made a mistake in the density packing calcul seems to extrude what is asked. but now i can see that there is also the filament sliping around the hobbed bolt. for the x axis i finally put it in the min position like the other tand it worksby victorjung - General
Hi, i have assembled my own design reprap wich is a classic design like the mendel. And i have some issues wich need you! i am using marlin on a printrboard. 1) My geared extruder with a 59/11 ratio doesn't extrude enough like if i ask for 10mm i don't even get 1mm in my configuration.h the hobbed bolt diameter and the ratio are defined. i will try tomorrow if it's ok if i put 11/59 instead of 59by victorjung - General
maybe the firmware are you sure in your gonfigs you have enabled both thermistor?by victorjung - General
not sur but i think there is already a temperature interval depending on the firmware you use...by victorjung - General
thanks i like it cause thermal i also wanted to be sure heat was well conducted!by victorjung - General
hi, i am assembling my new buddaschnozzle, i was wondering how to put the thermistor in the heating block, should ig lue it or something to keep it in place? should i put it all in the middlle of the hole, or just put the glass head in it? i have also some question with the heater cartridge, it's holden with a screw, but do i have to put ciment in it with? or some thermal paste, cause there is quby victorjung - General
yes i figured out that it also worked with arduino upload and it s fairly simplier!by victorjung - General
thanks i saw that i can do this with a new arduino version but with 022 i have to use with printrboard it doesnt existby victorjung - General
Hi, i am trying to upload a marlin firmware to my printrboard, i moadified the configuration.h, i compiled, but in the tutorial i followed it said that the folder where the .hex is stored is written in the arduino ide console, but i got nothing.... so where can i find Marlin.cpp.hex after i have compilde? Thanks a lot !by victorjung - General
hi, i am building a new design reprap inspired by the others. for the z axis, i want to use m8 screw 2 nuts and a spring for the backlash like many reprap desgigns. But, how is the is the first nut hold in place in the hexagonal block? thanks!by victorjung - Mechanics
hi, had anyone tried to use a htd-3m belt for a reprap? it seems really similar to gt2, a bit bigger, exactly the same as gt3 ? Cause in europa, it seems easier to find htd than gt profiles. But here they say that's not ok but i don't see why if gt2 is fine... thanks !!!by victorjung - Mechanics
Hi, i am new to reprap ans i am thinking about building my own. I was wondering why almost every one is using brass for the hot end nozzle and barrel? steel or alloy are much easier to find and cheaper! any thougts? Thanks for giving your opinion!by victorjung - Mechanics

are now extruders drive like other steppers with a normal motor driver like stepstick or others?by victorjung - Controllers
thanks for your answers, the thing i find that smd isn't diy friendly, that's why i like big footprint!by victorjung - Controllers
hi, nice driver, i was exactly looking fo something like this... cause i find the stepstick drivers too expensive when you know they can hardly drive 2amp. it seems that the l297/l298 was used for 1.0 1.1 and 1.2 stepper drivers here. But i never understood what was the use of the l297 in this combo? if you could explain this to me it would be awesome!by victorjung - Controllers
I, i am new to reprap, and i am thinking about building my own. so i read a lot of wiki pages, but something is disturbing me... Why everyboards are always made to be used with stepstick and pololu stepper drivers? they are expensive (my opinion) and hardly drive 2A current... Why was l298 abandoned (stepper motor driver 1.2) ? i just saw that some people are doing attempt with TB6560 it seemsby victorjung - Controllers
