I'd like to join. However, I have nothing against profit. I do want a coop, where all developers/employees decide on what we do, but we can still make money. For web development I can do javascript and svg: If we ever need to buy web hosting, I would be willing to buy hosting with bitcoins.

It was great meeting reprappers on Wednesday. By the way there was a post on the laser cutter forum about shipping to Canada: A reshipping company called Seawings Express in Blaine WA, brings things over to the Victoria BC Airport. They charge 17 C$ for the first 5lbs, then 0.45 C$/lb after that: Unfortunately, they don't mention shipping to Vancouver. International Parcel Service does men

Hello, I'd like to go a reprap meeting, but I don't have a car so it takes too long for me to get to the Langley Boston Pizza. Could at least some of the meetings please be close to a Skytrain station? Any Skytrain station would do: There are also a few other Vancouver reprappers who don't have a car but would like to meet. Cheers, Enrique

Hi Triffid Hunter, > if I send something like M130 S1 P7.9, does this really take 3 binary blocks, 48 bytes? That would be up to whatever is processing the M130 command. You could put the first two values into the slots for x and y. The record format is for a movement code, but something processing an Mcode can use an alternate record format, as long as it starts with the command letter an

Hi Triffid Hunter, > does skeinforge specify what output format it's using? "G22 - steps as units" would be a good one. No. Skeinforge uses only millimeters internally, and the output for both "Gcode Step" and "Binary 16 Byte" are just integers. You can change the "Step Length" and Offset for plugins from the display windows, which can displayed by clicking on the plugin button. > Can

Congrats on the new integer code. Skeinforge has the option of outputting integer gcode. To do so, pick the "Gcode Step" plugin in the "Export Operations:" radio group in the export tool. Alternately, you also have the option of outputting binary by picking "Binary 16 Byte". I do not know what format is being used for integer or binary gcode, so the output format may have to be changed. If a

The problem was your Infill Perimeter Overlap at 1 was way too high. From the fill documentation: "====Infill Perimeter Overlap==== Default is 0.15. Defines the amount the infill overlaps the perimeter over the average of the perimeter and infill width. The higher the value the more the infill will overlap the perimeter, and the thicker join between the infill and the perimeter. If the value

If you click the skeinforge button, skeinforge will output a gcode file. To get an svg file from the cutting profile, bring up the chop pane, then on the chop pane click the chop button. bogdan, Thank you very much for the offer to set up a file storage place. I'm going to try some more to find a reprap related forum which allows big files to move the skeinforge powwow to. If I do not find one in the next few days, I'll ask you to set up the file storage place. The viewers have a close menu option, however, because there were no menu accelerator keys the typical 'Ctrl-W' to c

The bound checking skeinforge is attached and at: The unabridged skeinforge now goes over the 613K limit of the forum software. Where is a good place that I can store larger files? I know about subversion, but it is much quicker for me to upload a file then switch over to windows, use subversion, then switch back to Linux for development; necessary because I am not able to install subversion

Ian, The "Add M110 GCode for Compatibility with Nophead's Code" no longer exists because raft now uses M110 for the temperature of the chamber. That is not in the html documentation because I only update the html whenever I announce a new version. You can get the most recent documentation by looking at the top of the .py file. That documentation is not always up to date, but it is more recent

Tim, The 'First Early Startup Distance' should trigger. Since it isn't for you send me your preferences and model as a zip file. I like you design choice of aluminum extrusion: Since the extrusion has a higher stiffness to weight ratio than smooth rod, your design could be scaled up further than the standard reprap.
