It helped!
Thank you very much!
Does this makes the firmware do harder work calculating the motion?
I know there are some defines for sin and cos angles, do I need to add more?
I'm using MEGA2560 and sometimes I can see that I push it to its limits already when there are too many segments.

Thank you! I will try this when I get back home.
I was using Repetier firmware until now.
In Reptier firmware i'm able to change "Angle of column A/B/C", do you think this is it?

Hello,
I'm having a hard time to calibrate my cherry pi.
I have a Rostock printer that I build so I have a little experience with deltas..
I'm attaching a photo that will help me to explain:
All 3 towers and center were calibrated with the paper method. (I have also Z probe but I want to calibrate it by hand first)
When the printer goes from the center to the green arrow, the nozzle raise a b

Hello,
I'm having problem connecting an Inductive Proximity Sensor to the board.
I connected it to 12V, and made a voltage divider with 100K and 150K resistors, and I get about 5V when the sensor is triggered.
I connected this voltage divider to the "S" and "-" on the X Min connector, and it didn't work.
After trying to play with the MCU pullup, I noticed that it doesn't change anything, it act

This is what I'm gonna try tomorrow.. different slicer and get another spool to try, but because it happens at the same spot, it could be a slicer issue.

Printing
Hello,
I'm trying to print some big model (the Corner of Cherry Pi Printer),
and I get a crack at the same place each time I try to print it.
I tried different layer heights, different temps (from 200 to 215 for PLA), print without a fan, with a fan, use higher bed temperatures (60-70).. nothing helps!
There is only one crack, some times it's a little crack, and sometimes it's a big crack, but i

Hey,
I edit my calculations and put a link to the calculator (in my last post).
Now the degree is about 30.72 (If my calculations are correct)
I edit the previous post but you made your comment while I was editing :/

I did some calculation for 220mm printable diameter, but I didn't know if i'm correct.
After you said you are using 350mm arms for 300mm printable diameter I think they might be right
Arms length: 248.21mm
Degrees between arms and tower: 33.87mm
lost height: 206.17mm
This is the length of the arms when they are at the end of the 220mm bed, and the arms are 90 degrees with the tower, which I

I'm starting my build now, and I want to use all the 220mm of the MK3 round aluminium heated bed.
What is the calculation I need to do in order to know the length or the rods I need to cover all this area?
I'm using 10mm balls and not 8mm.
In the BOM at thingierse, Andy says that the build area is about 190x190 mm, and he cut to rods to 225mm.
Also, I want to get 300mm build height, 650mm extr

There's also connection speed. Are you printing via SD card or USB?
Yes, I'm using SD and not USB.
vreihen, Thanks for all the information! it's really good to know.
I know you can connect Beaglebone with BeBoPr but it's way more expensive than just Ramps-FD with Arduino due.
For now I solved my problem with that specific model (And I think it gonna work with all my problema

Hello,
I have a delta printer with Arduino Mega and using the default 200 segments per second.
However, I have some models with many segments the the printer is shuttering during those parts.
Will upgrading my Arduino Mega to Arduidno Due will improve this segments problem? from what I understand it is related to calculation that the printer can't do fast enough..
Thanks!

Hey,
I just upgrade to rev7 and when I connect with the repetier-host (last version, F) to the printer I get "6 commands are waiting" in the status, and I can't do anything.
When I home all axis, the counter is just increasing, but no command is executed.
I can control the printer with the LCD although, and my action are working.
I tried to reset my Arduino Mega, unplug all power sources and

I'm trying to upgrade from rev4 to rev6 and I get fan pin error..
Commands.cpp:24: error: 'FAN_PIN' was not declared in this scope
I changed nothing, just uploaded my old configuration and download the new firmware including the configuration.
I'm using ramps 1.4 with Arduino MEGA, and I have a Delta.

Hello,
I just built a z-probe that is based on a micro-switch for my delta.
I configed it in the firmware on Z-Min endstop pin and I didn't check "Probe triggers on high". X offset I set to 20, and probe height to 46 (I checked when it hits the bed)
When I use the G31 Command I get H and when I trigger the probe I get L.
When I try the G30 command, the probe is not going down, it goes right and

I made a few prints with the PID now, and it's all working fine..
I'm not so sure it is the hardware because every time it happened, it had the same pattern. Right ater I start the print, the exturder stops heating, and then after a few minutes it starts again, and then stops again.
I can show you the same graph from Octoprint.(First I thought the problem was with octoprint, but then I treid to

Thank you for your replay.
I will check it all tomorrow and post back!
but it's still very strange because when I'm trying to heat the extruder it works. Maybe I have some bad contacts at the hotend side and when it starts moving it makes the problem..

I accept that this is not the way, but I didn't make this model, I just wanted to print it from the STL from thingiverse.
Here I'm talking about the base solid layers so it doesn't really matter if I set infill for 30% or for 0% because the first layers should be 100% solid.
I did try to slice it with 60% infill, and the seventh layer was different, but not as I expected it to be.

Hello,
I'm using this version for the past month, but recently the PID start acting crazy!
I set the exturder to 200C and start the print (the gcode will set the extruder to 190C too) but then the PID stops working for a few minutes, and then it starts again! and after a minute is stops again!
It happens very often but not on every print.
I'm attaching some photos.
Thanks,
Itay

Hey,
It's not the problem in this case.
the first, the second and the third layers are good (also in the simulation). From the forth layer there is a gap that starts growing, and on the seventh layer the gap is very big.
Usually I print with 3 bottom solid layers so everything is good, but this time I tried with 7 bottom solid layers and slic3r makes this "bug".
I also checked with 3 other peopl

I tried to reduce the buffer (from 2 to 1) and it didn't help.
I noticed that playing with the menus while printing makes the printer stop for a second..
Switching to a non-graphic LCD will solve my problems? Or I can't print with an LCD at all? I need to config my octopi..

4. I followed the tutorial of solidoodl for calibrate the flow rate, so eventually it came that I need to set the extrusion multiplier to 0.9, It's the same as changing the steps per mm in the firmware.
Maybe it will have some effects for the retraction, but this is not the problem right now.. When I use smaller nozzle (0.35) I found out that I don't have to change the multiplier, so instead of m

Hey,
Now with Rev4 the printer stops while printing at some places for a microsecond and then continues.
I'm printing with the graphic LCD only (no computer), could it be the reason? It happened too on Rev1, but now it happens more often.
I have 1023 free ram with Rev4

Hey, thanks for you responce.
1. The object should be hollow, so I must have 0 infill, but first few layers are solid.
2.I set it to 140% at the "Advanced" tab to check if it solves the problem. when I set it to 0, the same happens (slic3er makes the calculations)
3. the same as 2.
4. My exturer steps/mm are not correct to instead of changing it in the firmware I changed in slic3r. I followed t

Hey,
Thanks for your answer.
I'm aware of the "Advanced" settings and I tried playing with it. it can help sometimes but not this time.
If you look at the photo I attached you can see the gap is very very big, it's not something you can fix with a litter more extrusion.
There are some places the gap is small (in the photo) and maybe more extrusion width will help.. but for the bigger gaps - it's

Hello,
I get gaps in many slices, I thought it's something with my printer but then I looked at the gcode simulator of repetier and I saw it's actually the slicing.
Is it some setting I'm doing wrong?

I don't have much time playing with my printer, it's the end of the semester now..
I checked my free RAM - I have 1035.
Extrude-Retract-Extrude-Retract makes the delay/unexecute for me too.
