Wiring is pretty simple. Just connect the RAMPS output to the two input terminals on the SSR making sure to keep the polarity right. The output side is a low side switch GND -> SSR - SSR + -> Heat bed 1 Heat Bed 2 -> Power I don't know how to setup the bang bang control in Marlin, maybe someone else can help there.by WZ9V - Reprappers
Do people find they have problems with the two z-motors going out of sync and causing leveling issues?by WZ9V - Prusa i3 and variants
This one was recommended to me by mhackney This one is known to work well. Be careful with any others because most of them use BJT transistors with a much higher on resistance 0.1 ohm (BJT) vs 0.006 ohm (FET). I have my firmware set for bang-bang (on/off) control also, my understanding is that most SSRs don't like to be switched quickly so be careful if using PWM.by WZ9V - Reprappers
If there are other people in your area I'd say get what is similar to what they have starting out. I went out on my own and it was a very steep curve with very little help. Some stuff is so much easier to learn when somebody shows you as opposed to watching videos or reading blogs and wikis.by WZ9V - Reprappers
I'm eyeing their Slimbot promotion but I'm not sure I like that the bed support is Acrylic and that they use a four point (corners) leveling solution. I do like that there is one Z motor instead of two to sync up but the fact it is on one side makes me wonder if the other side might bind.by WZ9V - Reprappers
I'll have to check out the fix. Right now I'm still on 1.09m while I fight with FSR bed calibration. Quotedougal1957 According to Github that fix is in 1.09P alpha2by WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I discovered an issue with M558 P1 vs P4 causing a 6C to 8C shift in temperature readings. Dave is rolling that fix into the next version also. You may want to recheck your temps because of it and recalibrate the H parameter in M305. My discovery was that P1 (IR Probe) was reading correctly but just changing the M558 to P4 (switch) would cause a jump of 6 to 8C on both readings. Yes. I have not tried them myself but I have spoken to mhackney about them and they work great for him. I'm planning to print a set as an upgrade to my printer since I get inconsistent results with my FSRs using the stock holders.by WZ9V - Delta Machines

Why not just elevate the grove mount using some posts like they do on the Rostock Max from SeeMeCNC?by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Definitely use the trinket or JohnSL boards. As DC42 said stabilizing the bed while allowing it to float enough for the FSR's can get tricky. I don't have the link handy but MHackney posted what I think is one of the best solutions to that over on the SeeMeCNC forums. His approach is to make a cup that holds the FSR and then a plunger that attaches to the bed. The walls of the cup keep the pluby WZ9V - Delta Machines

I saw their answer there. Looks like you will have to manually deploy do your G32 and then manually retract. I switched to RepRap firmware, but when I was a Smoothie user I didn't see any way to do what you want other than adding to your start g-code in the slicer.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
If RepRap Firmware had M280: Set servo position you could use a R/C Brushless ESC to control a BL motor. The servo arm position would then become rotational speed of the BL motor.by WZ9V - Delta Machines
Using it on the Mac shouldn't be a problem. You may want to look for the disk cleaner utility for the Nac so that the extra Mac stuff is removed from the SD when ejected but that's just for space consumption reasons. It's more likely that you are pulling the SD without properly ejecting it from either the Duet or the Mac. Make sure you always eject the drive on the Mac and wait for it to finisby WZ9V - Ormerod
Most servos in this application are the R/C ones and the need a PWM signal. The width of the pulse between 0/2ms determines the position of the arm and the pulse is sent every 20ms in the most basic form. Some support faster refresh rates but are more expensive and complete overkill for deploying a probe.by WZ9V - Ormerod
Duet does not have a US distributor yet but they are quite easy to order from Think3DPrint3D and have them shipped to the US. Quotew3drk From what I understand Duets are not so easy to come by in the states...but it's good to know RAMPS-FD is a mess, so thanks for the heads up! I have a BeagleBoneBlack so maybe I'll eventually get a CRAMPs board instead and give MachineKit a try.by WZ9V - Controllers
Thanks for the suggestions on the FSRs. I'm going to roll back to m also since it seems to be working better for you. Glad to hear it's going better with the networking.by WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I'm using the stock square mounts and the stock bed holders. I've tried all kinds of combinations of the "sandwich" and etc. I've currently got them flipped over with the FSR on the flat side with the orange rubber spacer on top and cut so that it is centered within the FSR sensor circle. I have your STL's from SeeMeCNC forum and I like your approach much better. On my current setup and Smootby WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support

I've read about your success with the FSRs over on SeeMeCNC. I don't know what's going on with them. I get what I think are good numbers for the probe points, do a calibration and then one side is still higher than the other. The only time I've had this printer going well was after a manual calibration. I've checked the build for squareness and it looks square to me. I suspect I've got a badby WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
What firmware and web control version? I'd try the 1.09m firmware and web control 1.07 if you are not already on them. I had some weird AJAX errors until I upgraded to 1.09m and 1.09o along with DWC 1.07 I haven't had problems with 1.09o but some have, 1.09m might be a better choice until DC pops out the p version. Check what the gateway is on the Mac it should be the same. I think you can get that from the terminal with either ipconfig or ifconfigby WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Make sure you have the Gateway address set correctly in config.g (M554) When I had mine set for DHCP (all zeros for network IP) I found my Duet 0.8.5 would not acquire an IP address via DHCP, as soon as I put in a correct Gateway address it worked. If you connect the USB and issue M552 through pronterface or similar terminal, it will tell you the assigned IP. Without the Gateway properly set iby WZ9V - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Solved. Needed to change the 320mm X/Y/Z to 400mm in homedelta.g I've noticed that if I do a Home All from a point on the outer radius of my build area it does not always home all three axis without doing a second Home All.
