I have 2 printers that are one of each type. Both 6 years old. Used a few times a week for small parts. The one with the plastic wheels has needed replacement wheels every 6 months. It works great for a while then wear becomes a problem. I’ve tried all types of wheel brands too. The one with with Mgn12h sized is as good as day one after 6 years of use.by cts519chris - Mechanics
Repetier Firmware now has the ability to echo motors using unused extruders drivers. Rebecca.Palmer - I asked if there was a way to do this a while back and didn't get a response. I'd appreciate some help if Marlin can do this too. Thanks, Chrisby cts519chris - Firmware - mainstream and related support
It may be a good idea to include those suggestions in the configuration.h or on a help page. The in-line information, to be honest, is not that helpful and would lead me to guess. I will give your suggestions a try and will report back. For sure, your firmware has much more depth and features than Marlin. Many thanks! Chrisby cts519chris - Repetier
RE: v.91 firmware Some of my vase prints are stuttering (not moving smoothly). The vase prints have many short segments. The only thing that prevents this is slowing down the print to a very slow speed, which is something I have not experienced using Marlin. Any suggestions to make things smoother and still print fast like on Marlin? I assume it has to do the settings below, but I am not cleby cts519chris - Repetier
Checkout the development version of the firmware on Github. It has the option in configuration.h to "duplicate motors" to open extruders.by cts519chris - Repetier
Nophead, I see you are mentioned as a contributing developer of the new Duet controller. Will Mendel90 be using this controller any time soon? Thanks, Chrisby cts519chris - Mendel90
The controller, multi-extruder and calibration featuers look very interesting. I can't wait to dig into the details and see how those features can flow into the mainstream.by cts519chris - Ormerod

I changed the enable_y() , disable_y() from -1 to 1. Also, checked the extruder. No changeby cts519chris - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hello, I've made the changes suggested and compile and upload without any errors, but the E1 motor still does not echo the Y movement. I pasted my stepper.cpp below. Thanks in advance! Hi Nophead, Why M6 threaded rod for leadscrews on the Z axis? It works great on my kit, but other companies use bigger acme or M8 leadscrews. Just wondered why you went the M6 route. I'm guessing that price and the pitch of the M6 was a benefit. Also, was M5 just too small? Thanks for your answer. Mendel90 is still making great prints! Chrisby cts519chris - Mendel90
Wow...That is pretty disappointing to hear that a company touting itself as a leader in the industry will not stand behind it's product. So basically you ended up doing a Reprap solution to make the printer better. That is one expensive enclosure!by cts519chris - General Mendel Topics
I went with the Nophead Mendel90 kit a few months back. At the time, I was looking for an i3 kit. Didn't find one in the USA. I used his manual that he has online as an indicator of the quality of his kit...boy was I right. I'd like to build another printer, but can't seem to find something at the level of Nopheads instructions.by cts519chris - General Mendel Topics
Hi, I'm in Orange County. You are in LA? I need a high quality LM8UU. Can you provide in volume with a guarantee? Thanks, Chrisby cts519chris - Vitamin Kit for Sale
I took off the chrome parts and that helped somewhat. No droop, but thanks for the tip Nophead.by cts519chris - Mendel90
Whenever I print larger objects, the extruder fan knocks off the clips. Can anyone suggest a good alternative to the bulldog clips provided? I was thinking large paperclips.by cts519chris - Mendel90
Not scientific, but compare a typical print (black) from my mendelmax 1.5 build to the just built Mendel90 (green). I am amazed at the quality out of the box with the Mendel90. Note that the Mendel90 has not been fully calibrated either.by cts519chris - Mendel90
It's not overkill as long as it works well. Is that Matterhackers PLA I see spooled up? How is that filament working for you? I need to buy some PLA and Printbl doesn't have much stock at the moment. Both are local but I have never tried the Matterhacker stuff. Thanks, Chrisby cts519chris - Mendel90
Is the solution to make an adjustable width spool holder to accomodate different sizes? I've seen threaded rod, bearings and nuts used to make the width adjustable. Nopehead: This is an important feature of the kit. I vote for keeping it and possibly making some adjustments.by cts519chris - Mendel90
Hello, I want to replace the controller on my Mendel Prusa to Ramps 1.4. Does anyone have experience switching from Sanquinololu Marlin to Ramps 1.4 Marlin? Any suggestions or insights are appreciated. Thanks! Chrisby cts519chris - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, A little off topic, but I was wondering if anyone was interested in buying Mendel90 sheets out of ALUMINUM? I'm in California and looked into it. There needs to be quite a bit of volume (can't just do 1 set). Any interest? Thanks, Chrisby cts519chris - Mendel90
