Okay, I will double check that when I get home. In the mean time, are my settings close? Is 0.2mm a typical layer height for a .35mm nozzle?by enob - General Mendel Topics
I was monitoring the temp for the extruder during the print and it was right on target. I don't think that it would even start printing and stop randomly if it was hitting the safe temp.by enob - General Mendel Topics
I am using Sanguinololu electronics with Sprinter firmware. I have the temp at 220C and I thought that was normal for ABS. Just another thought. Maybe my Pololus stepper driver board for the extruder is overheating? Does that sound plausible?by enob - General Mendel Topics
I keep having this problem where it prints perfectly but I feel like it is missing extrusion points. I can manual extrude as much as I want and it never skips. I have a .35mm hot end. I am using Pronterface and Sli3r Some of the settings, (let me know if I miss important ones) Layer height (mm): 0.2 Perimeters: 3 Solid Layers: 3 Fill density: 0.35 Nozzle diameter: 0.35 Filament Diameter 2.75by enob - General Mendel Topics
I switched to Pronterface. Works so much better.by enob - General Mendel Topics
Hello again, I am using Sanguinololu electronics with Sprinter and replicatorG. I have a MakerGear hot end and the temp set at 220C. When I hit print, it takes about 2-3 minutes and starts to heat the hot end. It starts to print when it gets to about 160C. It gets about halfway through the raft until the end is hot enough and then the filament won't feed because the hobbed bold cut into the abs.by enob - General Mendel Topics
Hello, I am working on switching my prusa over to lm8uu bearings. On the Z axis are you supposed to use the two nuts with a spring in between like the original? Or do you just use one nut for the bottom like on the Longboat Prusa. I guess the Longboat's instructions are confusing me. Prusa Longboat. Thanks in advance!by enob - General Mendel Topics
Did you ever get this fixed? I am having a similar problem. Have you tried changing settings in the firmware?by enob - RAMPS Electronics
How would you suggest fixing noise? I thought that is why the documentation has pull up resistors, but the Sanguinololu electronics exclude them. Can I put a cap between the two pins on the switch to get rid of the noise? As a side note, can I just turn off endstops completely in the firmware? Obviously I would have to generate the gcode without homing, is there any other disadvantages?by enob - General Mendel Topics
I have it set as //#define ENDSTOPPULLUPS (commented out) const bool ENDSTOPS_INVERTING = false What happens is the motors move around fine, they move in all directions and when they hit the endstops it is like nothing happened. This is the same behavior as if I was to leave it stock (like the first post where inverting was true). If I change it to #define ENDSTOPPULLUPS const bool ENDSTOPby enob - General Mendel Topics
Is that the same as this statement? const bool ENDSTOPS_INVERTING = true I guess I am not sure what you mean.by enob - General Mendel Topics
Hey guys, Just finishing it up and you all have been so much help so far. I am trying to wire up the endstops, well I think they are wired up. I am using mechanical end stops with Sanguinololu electronics. I hooked them up like it says in the wiki. I hooked them to common and NO, and then used the two outside pins on the board. I did what it says and in the Sprinter firmware I changed this: /by enob - General Mendel Topics
YES! Thank you guys so much. It works after turning up the current. I just had to turn it a little less than a quarter turn. The driver doesn't get hot either (well in my little test). Now I guess I am off to calibrating it tomorrow. I have to take a break, I have been working on this for hours straight. I hope calibration goes easy on meby enob - General Mendel Topics
Oh, that sounds about right. I didn't know I could turn up the current. How do you do that?by enob - General Mendel Topics
I checked the zaxis motors by pulling the threaded rods. They both spin in both directions the same way, so they are working properly. When I put it all back together it still doesn't work. I feel like it is binding in some places. It moves if I help it with my fingersby enob - General Mendel Topics
Anyone want to make some money in the Buffalo area? I have no idea what to do now..by enob - General Mendel Topics
It still doesn't work. It goes down but not upby enob - General Mendel Topics
Hello, Trying to finish up my reprap. I have it all hooked up and wired. I am using Sanguinololu electronics with sprinter firmware and replicatorg. My X and Y axis move as they are supposed to but my Z just makes a noise and doesn't actually move. What do I do?by enob - General Mendel Topics
Thanks Sublime. If you ever need anything let me know. Jby enob - General Mendel Topics
Okay, I am going to try it again. I have the nuts in the right place. I didn't compress the spring. Thanks for the quick reply. I will let you know how it works. Jby enob - General Mendel Topics
Hello, I am trying to get my first build here. I am on the z/x axis part. (step 8). The bottom nut on the x end motor and the other x piece that has the pulley. When this happens it doesn't move up and down correctly. Did I do something wrong? I have the spring in between the two nuts in the hex channel. Should I glue it in? Thanks in advance for the help. Jby enob - General Mendel Topics
Is there a wiki or some sort of information on SD card printing anywhere? I have been looking all over. I have the Sanguinololu electronics (1.2). I saw the post above with the MicroSD card adapter (Gravitech). If I set that up how do I get it to print from the SD card? Does it have to be loaded on there a specific way? What file format does the SD card have to be? Any specific naming conventionsby enob - Sanguino(lolu)
