Ok... I got it printing after rebuilding the jhead, and making some adjustments on the filament path... But now I'm getting a very odd shift while printing ... It gets about 6 layers off the bottom, then the Y jumps about 5mm .. It is doing this on every print !! I have ajusted the pot, and checked the belt, everything is good ... I might try and swap out the motor.by mxcobra - Reprappers
I have tried this running both PronterFace & Repetier SAME RESULT ...by mxcobra - Reprappers
This is my second printer build ... But this issue has be stumped bad .... Trying to get this to print a 25mm test cube. It starts the first layer ok, then it all goes to hell... It seems to be getting jammed up. I have cleaned the hobbed bolt 6 times. Its like the hot end is not heating up all the way?? But its reading 230, and sure as hell is too hot to touch ... This is printing ABS. Anyby mxcobra - Reprappers
I know this is an older post... But did this work ? It looks like an easy setup , and not a ton of money ... Im still running my Gen6 with my heat bed.. And its a pain to turn it on and off to keep temp ... Leeway Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just completed the temp control on mine. Ryan, I never even noticed them before.. I will Turn it up a couple of clicks and see what i get.. Whats the rule of thumb the settings? Thanks !!by mxcobra - Printing
I have not tried that yet... Where would I find that setting? config.h file I would guess ?by mxcobra - Printing
Temp is up to 235... Hobbed bolt also looks good. I have pulled it out 3 times. When feed in the ABS by hand, its it moves smooth & it bites nices on the bolt. Its almost like its feeding it to fast?? Im not sure, this one has be stumpedby mxcobra - Printing
I should also add... Im running Pronterface with Slic3R ( with no changes in the settings )by mxcobra - Printing
I have a RepRap Prusa. With the LuLzbot hot end & wade extruder... I have everything calibrated and running well. My issue is with the filliment & extruding. It seems to start off ok.. But then it starts to "skip" or "grind"..I did tighten up the 4 bolts, and changed out the springs.. But I dont think that is my issue. Does any one have a copy of the config.h file for the extruder settiby mxcobra - Printing

Doing some google work, it sounds like a lot of people have wired it right up to the power supply using 14G wire.. Looks like it heats up to 110C / 230F ... I have a 300WATT / 30A power supply so I have enough power to run the GEN 6 board, and the PCB heatbed.. I wired it up last night and turned it on for about 10 minutes, and sure enough ... 107-12 C ..by mxcobra - General

Question for you guys... I have a prusa , running Gen6 eletronics. ( no control for heatbed on board ) I was going to wire up the heatbed with a toggle switch to my power supply.. Any idea how how I could control the temp on the bed ? Thanksby mxcobra - General
Guys, looking for a little help... I had a big night and got my Gen6 board working with my prusa .. I now need to wire up my opto end stops & flags. The bad part, I have ZERO documentation on them .. I dont have the "pig tails" so I have to solder the wire to each of the 4 pins on the opto... Does anyone have a good diagram for the pin outs, so I can connect them correctly.by mxcobra - Controllers
Well, Your help did help point me in the right direction... I was using Merlin firmware, but seems this might have been my issue all along.. I reflashed my gen6 with Sprinter, changed the baud to 19200... BAM, it works ! I have an issue going on with my Y axis, it seems to lock up the motor.. ( could be motor or wiring ) I will double check today. I was able to move both Z & X in one dirby mxcobra - RepSnapper
Wish I could get a little more support on this ... I have googled it until I'm blue in the face and came up with nothing... I have setup my com port to 2, and set the baud to 19200 (same for repsnapper) .. ( I have also tried different ports with the same result) It sends the M105 singal, and after a few tries, it never connects.. 17:32:36 Send >>Connecting to port: COM2 at speed 19200 1by mxcobra - RepSnapper
