Guys i am thinking of trying a small router i have on my mendel rpp. The problem is that i dont know how to setup a gcode for that . from what i cant tell is that the gcode should be written upside down . Is there any easy way to do this ?by Gaou - Duet
both of them were printed lower than 15mm/sec. it crossed my mind that it was the slow speed the cause but on the other hand i am using these speeds enough to see that it wasn't it. what it this jerk settings ?by Gaou - Printing
Guys i am getting this error during print . I think it is related to slic3r as i have two identical mendels with different bed sizes. My opinion was that if i switch from the one to another and load a stl file without restarting slic3r with the proper settings ( the printer that will do the job) then i am getting this results always. The last two months i was very carefull not to load stl beforeby Gaou - Printing
Quotedc42... put you in touch with him. i am interesting too ...by Gaou - Duet
i think you can move down to -10c and then lower the speed . The layer adhesion will be similar but the material will be coolest so it wont ooze less.by Gaou - Printing
the homeall.g is where it should be ( sys folder ) and as far as i can tell it seems ok as a file . i will do a restart to the printer after this print will end and i ll come back .by Gaou - Duet
Thanks David . Any idea why the G28 command doesnt move the printer ?by Gaou - Duet
guys i am here again needing some help. Today i added a microswitch for x homing on rpp mendel. At the beggining i couldn't home x at all . But after i added these two lines in my config x axis can home but Homeall button and Z homing ( rpp ir ) cant work . The homeall doesnt respond at all and the nozlle keeps pushing the table down untill i switch it of. I cant find my fault so please advice.by Gaou - Duet
Guys thanks a lot for ur feedback. At this time I 've set the nozzle to .18'll height and something smaller for width. I managed to get a good print but I believe it needs some more mods before I will be able to print better. I will use the calculator when I love back home and I 'll post my findings. Thanks once more guys.by Gaou - Printing
Guys i know that it has been discussed before but i couldn't find a cleared answer so can you point me a clear thread or a math type for setting the slic3r with a new .25 nozzle ?by Gaou - Printing
Guys i tried yesterday to print with a polyester filament that has specs for printing 240-260. After i run the printer for about 2 min i realized that my thermistor is not accurate or calibrated right . Is there anyway i can calibrate it so i ll get more accurate readings ?by Gaou - Duet
Guys i kind of tired with my plastic repraps and i need advice on building a new machine. I am thinking of plywood or extruded aluminum ? With the plywood being so much easier as i am having access to a wood workshop what do you suggest. If you do have a link for plans it would be very helpfull.by Gaou - CoreXY Machines
i have two mendels and the second one has a bed of 260mm x 260mm. at this time i am using a 12v 200mm x 200mm heater but it is too small for the printer so i thought that i have to replace it . the 24v was my first thought as it is easier to setup but it requires a 24v psu which i don't have and it cost . So i thought that a ac heater would be a lot cheaper to set up . the wires isn't what i am wby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Quotebgkdavis...and when you wire up the SSR and heat bed make sure you don't cut corner... i am not sure what you meant by this . Quotebgkdavis...good quality connections and good insulation are required... the insulation is what i afraid most and basically i was wondering if there is anyway to protect the duet if something fails from ac going through it . when i ll do it i ll ask in the dueby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Guys i want to change one of my heaters and instead of a 12v heater to install a 220v . The thing is that i kind of afraid a failure (short circuit) and the possibility to burn out the duet . So i wanted to ask the users that runs 220v heaters if there are any precautions that i could take to eliminate a possibility of a short circuit.by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Guys since i got my extruder on top of the e3d i hqave changed 2 small gears. while i am waiting for a friend of mine to make me some from aluminum i would like to hear if you have any other alternatives for this gear .by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Just downloaded and run it . It can only export as a dxf on autocad . There is a gap here as until now i didn't found something to convert my stls to 3D solids....!by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
i mean the soliworkds or acad 3d models.by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
we have a saying here in Greece that says a photo can lie sometimes..! i havent measure the filament and this is the main reason for having a lot of fails. even now at this print i didn't measure but i put at the slic3r the top of the width ( for not getting backpressure) and i have printed with that. Thats why i do have some spots with underextrusion. Anyway i ll try to get a better photo. Thanby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Quotereifsnyderb They don't jam unless the filament is bad. you are absolutely right and i own an apology . QuoteGaou i dont know if this is true.. my apology to the creator of the e3d as i was wrong. I removed my bowden tube as it was the problem due to thick ( 1.85mm-1.95mm) filament . From that day i didn't have and jams. here is my direct extrusion modby Gaou - General
Guys i do have some plans but i can see that a lot are missing. Solidworks asks for some files that were in the dropbox of ReprapPro. So if anyone have them downloaded back while rpp was active i would like to have them ...!by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
It is not a good photo but you can see some things. print speeds were about 30mm/sec and abs was LG printed at 238celcious Now i am looking a way to mount the extruder on the top of the rpp quickset hottend . Also i ll have soon aluminum molded gears for the extruder. From the time i did this upgrade i didn't have any fails and printng is making me extremelly happy.by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
My prints are bad ( you can see it from the way the cables are hanged ). And last week they get even worst ( tweaking the compensation of the printers ) . But since i am able to use lot of reels that were doitmyself and for some reason i produced them with a diameter of 1.9mm i will fix the rest of the problems. Yesterday i send a print but cancelled it after 4 hours as i had my speeds and accby Gaou - General Mendel Topics
it works really well...!by Gaou - General Mendel Topics
Quotereifsnyderb How about replace it with a genuine J-Head from ? They don't jam unless the filament is bad. i dont know if this is true. i got one to replace my rpp quickset and i got disappointed seen that the rpp gets jam less than the e3d . Of course i am using the same filament on both printers.by Gaou - General
i am getting clogs too. I am printing abs and thought it would be easier with tthis hotend . Anyway i am trying different things but none seems to really help . If you ll short it out please update the post. what nozzle is urs ? i am printing at 0.4mmby Gaou - General

guys i am dealing with strange behavior during printings. The one is the pause thing, another one is that while printign layer one the web interface was shown layer 3. Also the bed leveling says it supports only 3, 4, 5 points instead of zero. this is the bed file M561 G1 Z10 F200 G1 X30 Y7 F4000 G30 P0 Z-100000 G1 Z10 F200 G1 X30 Y188 F4000 G30 P1 Z-100000 G1 Z10 F200 G1 X200 Y186 F4000 G30 P2by Gaou - Duet
Thanks guys for the inputs. I have the board to a local electronic service spot and they told me to through it at the garbage. On the other hand i know that it is a simple procedure for an electronic repairman and even easier if there is a preheater available. Anyway my knowledge at the electronics lack ( as anywhere else ) but i ll look further to find someone here in greece that can import theby Gaou - Duet
