just wondering, I have no fan on the ramp board, only fan thats working is in the psu, other than that, none, I did have a fan on D9 but now D9 has no current, both the heatbed and extruder are getting less than 12v when heating, anything I need to look out for when cranking up the voltage?
thanks

RAMPS Electronics
folger tech stock filament feed is awful, plastic pin bends on bearing and there you have click click click or no feed just grinding off filament, I use this one now and works really well
its not a very good kit, psu isnot great, just bought a new meter to do a rebuild and test everything, extruder heater gets 11.79v and bed only getting 11.48v fan is dead, no current from d9

My fan is connected to D9, it was always working from software control, on/off and speed control, but it just stopped working suddenly, tried the fan on 12v psu, works fine, any idea anyone?
I checked wiring, all good

I will be trying windows 10, seeing 3 laptops, 3 wifi card, all got the same problem in windows, dropping connections, not seeing the router, having to disable and enable wifi to work again, never had that problem in fedora, if 10 is the same I just be ditching windows altogether, everything works as they should in linux, just cant play games, which I don't do much these days

the extruder fan decided to not work anymore on me, this board always seems to be funny from day one, I checked it with a new fan, no power, but the both fans works well on 12v power supply, I've no meter to test as its broken, but by the looks of it, I'm getting nothing from the board, since I'm going to build a bigger printer, anyone have any suggestions on a better setup on the controller boar

I have a friend works in a steel place, I be able to get material at trade prices, hopefully not too much at that, yea I agree on stablilty, after doing all the messing about with this printer I have, I've learned that the more stable the print head is the better the print result, so I will focus on the frame and drive system before the extruder head.
thanks for the reminder

found a little missed aligned on the extruder block to the tube, adjusted that and its now printing PLA at 180c still need fan on or it gets soften and click, ABS prints at 235 no fan needed but I have no tape on the bed abd for some reason ABS don't stick to the aluminium bed even at 100c, I read lots of places and the store I got it from says no tape needed, I guess its just PLA

seem I have got my printer working normal again today, it is like a everyday setup with this thing, maybe just cheap components
I want to build a bigger and better printer, could anyone give me some suggestions on components to use?
I'm hoping to build one that could do anything between 400mm/3 to 600mm/3 if possible with multi extruder, the more I can put on it the better
or whatever the size

thanks for the reply guys
I swapped out PTFE liner for new ones, I also have full metal 1.75mm tube to heater, metal tube is worst, it melts too soon, my multimeter is dead so I have no way of testing voltage at the moment, it happened earlier, after serveral reset by pressing the reset switch, it finally heats up, the board is sitting at a cool point, I have checked it a few times, it never get

I've read lots of search results, have not been able to figure this one out, I have a Folger tech prusa i3, if I try to heat it up for first print of the day, sometime it will heat up very fast, most days it doesn't do anything for hours, no change in temp.
next problem is the extruder suddenly not working as it should, yesterday, I was trying to print with PLA, and its clicking at 195c to 254c
