Hey
a couple IMUs, an arduino , little code and a PC
would get you 3 axis measurement system
for your printer testing
three-axis gyroscope + triaxial accelerometer three-axis magnetic field
2 or more IMUs can be connected to bus on arduino

Why does it matter if the printer shakes around.
Just so the print surface is in sync with the extruder.
Movement from printer to floor only matters if it is shaking
your house or something next to it that needs to be still.
If you are setting diamonds or painting pin heads on the same
table as printer --- the movement induced to the table by printer is a problem.
Should you be concerned and

Keep this printer to print parts.
Build up another printer to meet all your requirements / desires
Sounds like you want MAJOR update!
You can get all the parts on eBay or other outlets.
Gears? Do you mean leadscrews to drive X?
The CR-10 variant you show uses timing belts on X, Y
and lead screw on Z.

Most construction concrete is pumped.
Low end pumps --- pump to about 125ft height
Over in Saudi Arabia they pump to over 600m (1960ft) height

You could do a web search for "3d house printer"????
16 HOUSE 3D PRINTERS AVAILABLE IN 2018
Expensive initial investment: house 3D printers can sometimes cost up to one million dollars.
Partially-built houses: house 3D printers only build house frames. The 3D printing process is usually paused to manually settle plumbing, wiring and rebars.
Rough exterior: most 3D printed homes’ exteriors a

This is becoming Abbott & Costello
Munchit has laser A with Driver B being hooked up to printer controller C
Jdargot has laser D with Driver E being hooked up to printer controller F
What printer control board are you guys using? Ramps on Mega 2560? or what
What firmware, what software?
you may want to look at

The Prusa i3 Mk 3 design is excellent!
250x210x210 there are 300x300x300 out there
Josef Prusa and team have put a lot of engineering into the design
Hardware, firmware, software
Prusa firmware is out on github -- so I think it is open source
There are a lot of people out there to support the Prusa model

What MARLIN version should I be using? URL please?
I have BED_SIZE set to 290 X and Y
How do I tell the critter that the probe is 54mm offset in Y??

Where is "the mesh" setup?
How do I make it smaller than my bed?

Firmware - Marlin
I installed a Classic BLTouch and it works great.
Trying UBL
The UBL routine does many points and sends the probe off of my bed.
using ---- Marlin_10_7_bugfix_Bltouch --- version of marlin
changing settings doesn't seem to do much?
Can you help to keep probe on bed?

Look what I made!
I would review your test procedure for a diode driver
this is pulsed DC to diode and ammeter may not show current
and
can you measure this pulse --- perhaps a O-scope
Why does uncle_ding

I don't know how you can test TTL trigger with multimeter
It is a switch ------ a voltage applied one state, No voltage the other state
Pulsed by a signal to turn laser ON / OFF
Since you never gave specifics about the Laser / driver
can't help ---- ask seller

is a full plate to accept extruded material

Just a matter of making G-code control the right pin
see
using D9
M106 S255 = Turns the laser on at full power
M106 S0 = Turns the laser off
M106 S127 = Turns the laser on at 50% power
M107 = Turns the laser off as well

Supply the laser driver with its own 12V power supply
Trigger it with TTL connection
Pin 11 or 12 of arduino can be set to PWM TTL
M3 laser ON M5 Laser OFF
M3 S(1 - 255) with set the PWM and power out of laser
there may be a switch on driver for TTL or continous trigger

WHAT?
I have a shapeoko 2 with arduino and GRBL board
can throw a router or laser on it --- it's great
Laser is controlled off of pin12 TTL to laser control board
Laser GRBL and other software crbide create generate good g-code and UGS runs it out to machine
There is 3D printer Firmware (Marlin) and CNC firmware (GRBL)
Perhaps you should use modify cooking softwate to paint a house?

Why not MOSFET with large tab off the PCB, that can be thermally synced with radiator?
Would over rating the MOSFET protect it or just lead people to draw more on it?
If you need high current control --- do it off the main board with control from main board?

So
What kind of camera?
Can it be remote triggered?
I suppose you would have to look for change in Z in g-code
May have to get slicer to insert command in g-code output
to indicate "new layer" then trigger macro
I don't use pronterface -- old CAM
Repetier with Slicr or cura much better
Just capture all of it with usb Cam and edit it
or use motion trigger available in some cam software

Printrun/Pronterface
your printer has a "controller"
Arduino Mega with a RAMPS board
it probably runs Marlin firmware
This firmware takes G-code and runs the motors/heaters on the printer
CAD (solid modeling) --->.stl file ---> slicer ---->g-code --->firmware
CAD (fusion, Sketchup, openscad)
model development
model export .stl file
CAM ( printer control SW --Repetier-host ) (PC SW app)
Slice (

I suppose your PCB and soft wood routing is dustless?
Have to agree with major dust and spoil created by subtractive manufacturing
3D printing little or no force put on extruder --- just sitting there pumping out poly
Milling --- mill produces considerable torque (cutter moving it's way thru material -- some distance away from anchor)
lots of pitch and yaw about Z axis
X and Y have to push
