It was my mistake.... Sorry!by epareja - Reprappers
Hello, I have a Prusa Mendel I2 and I want to print some parts of it to replace the old ones, but when I go to the GitHub oficial site for mendel 2 and donwload the STLs, there are many of them that wont open in any 3d software (netfaab, Repetier Host, online viewers, etc). (https://github.com/prusajr/PrusaMendel/tree/master/metric-prusa-lm8uu) Try downloading Belt-Clamp.stl or Mendel-plate-1.sby epareja - Reprappers
Thank you but I've sliced it with skeinforge many times and I don't get any warning or error. Are you using 0.5 mm layers? My configuration for skeinforge is 0.3mm layers.by epareja - General
Hi NormandC, I just used this part as an example for the community see the slic3r problem and due to it's small size. I printed a long time ago using skeinforge and it printed very well. I have bigger parts from clients that has this issue but I cannot post them because the confidentiality. What I need the most is the support quality to generate very accurate parts for real life. I will tryby epareja - General
i already put the case in github. Hope they can reproduce the problem there. Thank you NormandCby epareja - General
If I slice it with support there is the error in layer 14 but if there is no support the part slices OK. For the others that has pointed about the speed, let me clarify that I haven't printed yet. Although the speed has been tested in other pieces and works great! This has been happening with slic3r since version 0.8.4 Hope Slic3r team can read this and check.by epareja - General
Hello NormandC, the STL you sent me sliced OK. I don't know what is happening. I designed the part in solidworks and saved it as STL. I passed it trhough netfaab and got no mesh errors. If I use skeinforge I get no errors. This is just a small piece but I'm having problems with many STL with slic3r. Thank you anyway!!!! Best regardsby epareja - General
I've passed several times for repair in netfaab but the same results. I'm attaching here one simple file I designed in solidworks. When I slice it with Slic3r 0.9.1b I get in layer #14 just the support. - The file - My slic3r Gcode Someone can check with your slic3r?by epareja - General
Hello, After many versions of Slic3r I still get empty layers and it's not reptier's rendering problem. I checked the generated gcode in and it's the same. The empty layers are not empty completely. they only have part of support material but nothing for the part at all. It happens also in parts with support material deactivated. I'm having this issue in almost all the parts I try to slice witby epareja - General
Hello, I'm not printing it yet. I'm watching the slice results in Repetier-Host and I can see that there is no layers (actually there is a layer but with a little point or line). If I run the slicing process but without activating the support material I get all the layers without problems but I need the support for most of my pieces. I'm trying to find where slic3r saves the config.ini to erasby epareja - General
Hello, I've been having this problems since version 0.8.4 and now I'm sure it has to be with the configuration. Every part I want to slice, at the end of the process doesn't have any extrusion on layer 1, 3, 5 etc. Some times after layer 4 it starts to generate code for all the layers. I'm stucked with this and I would like to know if anyone has had this problem. Byeby epareja - General
Hello. Logrod is right. This are my last lines of code G1 X12.0 F4000 ; home (almost) x - stops extruder crashing into frame if at very top of Z height G1 Y170 F4000 ; move the print to the front. M104 S0 ; make sure the extuder is turned off. M140 S0 ; make sure the bed is turned off. M84 ; shut down motors.by epareja - General
I've had very good results with yellow and orange ABS but the white 3.0 mm ABS has been a little problematic when printing. It has a lower melting temperature but if extruded at that temperature (200 C) the layers don't bond very well. I will buy again but not the white color.by epareja - General
Hello, I'm generating my gcode with sic3r but the base infill is very thin and leaves little gaps between the filaments. How can I increase that base with? Thank you.by epareja - General
Did you check in Skeinforge if you have the Dimension plugin activated?by epareja - General
Thank you brnrd. You meant I will have to modify the PCB of the Arduino for this setting to work? I have Repetier Host and I can close the program and the printer will still run but if I disconnect the USB the printer stops. I don't think all the people printing form SD card have to modify the Arduino Mega PCB. Best regardsby epareja - General
I've also found that after a good print from SD card and after unmounting the SD and taking it of, if I insert it again in the slot my computer shuts off. It's very scary but I can turn it on latter but I don't know what hardware problem should it be. Anyone has had this problem?by epareja - General
Do you guys have had problems with the support material being sometimes very fragile? I'm trying to print the top of a oil bottle and the support material has to rise up to 10cm and many of the support is just a thin wall without any vertical strength. I've found the support in skeinforge being more resistant because it ads a little of material 90 degrees at the end of each line. I found thatby epareja - General
Thank you both. I will check if D1 is installed but I'm almost 99% sure it is ecause when I turn the power supply without connecting the Arduino to the PC, the leds flashes. jakowisp, what configuration should I check for? It is enabled the SDSUPPORT and it prints from the card if I don't disconnect the board from USB. Thank youby epareja - General
Hello, I'm using Repetier Host and Marlin firmware with RAMPS 1.4 and SDRamps to store files in an micro SD card. Does the electronics has to be connected to the PC via the USB cable when printing? or I can disconect the USB cable? I tryied to disconect it but the printer stoped, is this normal? I can close the RepetierHost with no problems though. Thank youby epareja - General
Are you using Skeinforge or Slic3r? I've found the generated support in Slic3r sometimes useless (imposible to remove). If you want to use skeinforge, activate the raft plugin. If you don't want the raft because you only want the support structure, set the base layer and interface layers to 0 in that plugin. I posted a similar question and Nophead gave me that tip. Hope it helpsby epareja - General
thank you both!!! This tip helped me a lot Nophead... thank you.by epareja - General
Hello all, I've been printing with Skeinforge and support material and the printed parts look good but I would like to know if someone has succesfully used any water soluble material? It's difficult to remove the base of the raft to the surface of the pieces. Someone knows how to print support material without the raft? Thank youby epareja - General
Hello, i was trying the split command in netfaab that is disabled. I finally found the cut method in netfaab and works great. I also found in youtube how to divide the solid body and it works better than netfaab because it leaves no holes. Thank you all in this forum that helped me alot!!!by epareja - General
Thanks to all. I isolated the printer in a cardboard box and now I can get the bed to 110 degrees. I think I will give the silicone rubber heat bed a try. The overhead time to get the bet to temperature is very high with my MK2 PCB (around 25 minutes). Anyone has used the silicon rubber bed? Thank youby epareja - General
Hello, Do you have any advance in this topic? Someone have achieved to have a working soluble support material?by epareja - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Hello, I have the Mk2 PCB for my heated bed but It's difficult for it to get hotter than 95 degrees. I has to put my printer into a box so it could go to 103. Has someone made an AC bed or something like that? Thank youby epareja - General
I'm getting a big difference in prints with a heat chamber. For now my chamber is very "rustic". Actually it's made with a pair of towels and it keeps warm the air arround the printing. It also warms the extruder and x motor but nothing above the limits. It's a great improvement to my prusa!by epareja - General
Hello Chris, i know it's been so long since your post but i would like to know if you can share pictures of your heated chamber and the results. I'm printing large objects iand i'm having problems with wrappingnin the corners. Thank youby epareja - General
I found the problem. It was that the model wasn't in the origin. I was tired yesterday and cound't think on that I solved it with netfaab.by epareja - General
