There are a lot of people here who will usually try to help if they can. If you have a local makerspace, a membership would get you access to a wide variety of equipment and possibly some tutoring. Genuinely professional support that knows your machine is a decision you locked in when you bought from a vendor that offers it or one that doesn't. There's a lot of variation in the market. All the values defined at the bottom of the gcode file can be used. For a few fields (notably the tool-change custom gcode field, for one) there are also additional placeholders specified that can be used.by IMBoring25 - Slic3r
Where are you getting the estimate? I don't recall Slic3r having that functionality and the estimates Repetier Host gives me for my Rostock Max when I load the gcode in the GUI (just to get the estimate) have been very good. I agree, it's probably in jerk and acceleration (which are bigger factors when you have infill, and especially complex infill). If your machine will maintain rigidity andby IMBoring25 - Slic3r
Ambitious. The software isn't designed for this but you might be able to slice twice and manually combine the gcode. Settings for the second slice would be: Custom STL with the profiles offset in X and Y (adding material) by half the diameter of your cutter No-extrusion gcode style One perimeter, 0% infill Microscopic but nonzero external perimeter extrusion width (Zero would set it to automatby IMBoring25 - Slic3r
Yep, you answered your own question. The parameter is EXTRUDE_MAXLENGTH and it's defined as follows: QuoteWhen you try to extruder more then this in one move, the extrusion gets ignored. Protects for wrong defined extrusion commands, e.g. if you stopped printing and did not reset extrusion position to 0. Either modify this in your configuration.h and re-flash the firmware or just make your loby IMBoring25 - Reprappers
Your type of machine, particularly the firmware it is running in this case, is critical to answering questions correctly. For most machines I'm familiar with, G90/G91 only change the absolute/relative mode for the positioning of the nozzle. Absolute/relative of the extruder drive is handled by M82 and M83. Many firmwares have a (defeatable) protection in place that prevents the extruder driveby IMBoring25 - Reprappers
Check your cooling settings in Slic3r. Most profiles apply a minimum layer time so that more plastic doesn't get laid over plastic that's still molten and make a mess of things. That setting will typically drive your speeds on smaller layers.by IMBoring25 - Slic3r
Low resistances are very difficult to measure. There's probably not anything wrong with your multimeter. I'm actually surprised your bed is doing as well as it is on such low voltages. You should just need a power supply that will deliver closer to the rated voltage under load. Industrial power supplies are simpler to configure and generally more stable than ATX if that's what you're currentlby IMBoring25 - Reprappers
Wait...It's not the firmware you need to trick into viewing that as a travel move...It's Slic3r, and that probably doesn't review your custom G-code to see if a Z-lift is appropriate...Sorry, wasn't thinking right about that. You can add the following to your after-layer-change gcode, or if you do it before the layer change you wouldn't need the move back down because the move to the new layer wby IMBoring25 - Slic3r
G1 goes to the specified coordinate (in this case X = 0) with whatever tool offset you have configured taken into account. G28 goes towards the endstop until it hits it and re-establishes the coordinate system. Unless you're doing something with the machine by hand that could result in turning motors so the axis isn't where it thinks it is or you absolutely need the carriage as far as it can beby IMBoring25 - Slic3r
The presence of a G92 command suggests you are using absolute extrusion coordinates. The excerpt you have there is an un-retraction. With absolute extrusion coordinates retractions won't have a negative E parameter, but instead just one that is smaller than the previous one. You don't say anything about your machine or electronics. I generally prefer relative extrusion coordinates unless yourby IMBoring25 - Slic3r

Mono Mendel should be the middle iteration of RepRapPro Mendel, with a Melzi board. Thermistor settings that are actually being used will be the EEPROM output posted. The legacy settings on the site I linked match except they show a beta of 3960. If the hot end or thermistor has been swapped that would be useful information. If you have no thermocouple you can run some filament that should baby IMBoring25 - General Mendel Topics

If you need the properties of the exotic materials, there is no alternative. PLA has decent wear properties but little temperature resistance. ABS has acceptable temperature resistance for a lot of applications but poor wear properties. Then there's the question of whether you need other specific material properties. When you consider that filament is bought on a weight basis and used on a voby IMBoring25 - General
Slic3r isn't a host. It's, as the name would suggest, a slicer. I've only seen Cura a couple of times, but I think it has some host capabilities as well. If the electronics have a web interface, a host isn't strictly needed.by IMBoring25 - General

I believe the note not to use M25 in a gcode file is for RepRapFirmware and that's actually the correct command for a Repetier machine. It might work better with an M400 before and after it (which waits for current moves to finish and clears the read-ahead buffer). If you're not running the print off the SD card (though I generally recommend doing so), you can handle a pause through Repetier-Hoby IMBoring25 - Slic3r

Please don't post the same topic in multiple sections but do provide as much information as you practically can that might be relevant to your problem. I assume from where you posted this that it's some kind of Mendel derivative. What kind? Is it from a kit? What is the primary structural material of the frame? What electronics are you using? What software are you using to slice? Have youby IMBoring25 - General Mendel Topics
There are failure modes that software will not catch. There will ALWAYS be failure modes that software will not catch.
