Hey
Is it posible to compile repetier firmware for a Atmega328P.
I only need xyz motion, arc support and pwm fan (for laser ttl) control.
Could be nice with sdcard support, but not high priority.
Is for my laser engraver project.

After printing many calibration and test pieces, I felt that my machine was within reasonable tolerance of printing a spare set of smartrap parts.

I never had the moisture problem my self or a problem that looks like yours. If it's not moisture, it could be your feedwheel/hobbed bolt that are slipping/stripping the filament. Try to lower the printspeed.
It could also be bad filament. Cheap black filament is often made from filament waste from other colors and black color pigment. So it could be bad or maybe the tolerance is slipping, so th

I normally print 50-70mm/s at 200 degrees with PLA. I can go up to 100mm/s at 215 degress, but then acceleration stretch my filament so 100% infill have small holes in the beginning of af layer. Have to play with advance in firmware to fix that.
I print ABS at 235 degrees and 50mm/s.
But acceleration have alot to say with speed. If you use ex. 1000mm/s acceleration it's no problem to print 100mm/

It looks like you spoke without checking your facts. I just checked which is the config for Repetiers development branch and it has no mention of an extruder with a greater number than T1 which is two extruders. And Malrin does not have a development branch

How about software? LinuxCNC? or is there any firmware like software that takes gcode and use the PRU's for stepping? I know Replicape has it own software. Maybe I could port that.

Just a comment for your firmware. You have removed homing of the plate, I know does not need to home, but it could be nice to have a starting point. Say you want to pause a print for filament change or resume a failed print, then you need a known starting point of the plate. You could use a hall-effect sensor with a magnet on the plate or a opto-sensor.

Here it is printing an octopus , and the final product .
This print took about 1.5 hours. The feedrate was 20 degrees/second which is roughly 55 mm/s. I think that the machine is capable of at least 40 degrees/second.

It's not the slicer. This is a mechanical issue. Small backlash, tighten your belts a bit or slow down your print. It could also be play in your hotend mount. Try a print with 30mm/s for all settings after you have tighten up your belts and if that's good, then up the speed in steps of maybe 5mm/s. When you have a good compromise between speed and quality, then start playing with different speeds

I can see you preview your gcode in Simplify3D Creator, why not just use that to slice? I don't use anything else since vers. 2.0 came out. Only thing missing is other infill patterns.

4 things i can think of would be:
1. To low speed, so nozzle pressure get close to zero. Try tp up your speed. (I print 30mm/s first layer and 70mm/s for the rest on a Mendel90)
2. To much play (backlash) in your extruder gears, so you get a delay.
3. To high firmware acceleration, my xy acceleration is 1500 and 3000 for non printing moves. To high acceleration, can stretch you filament path whe

The forks don't have to fit. The x-ends just sit on top off them :-) So the fork have to go between your z-screw and z-axis, with a nut in it.

You can't print 0.5 layer height with a 0.5 nozzle. Layer height should be Max 80% of nozzle size.
I normally print 0.25 layer with 0.5 nozzle. Can do 0.35 to, but i never go over that.
So try with a layer height of some 0.2-0.35 :-)

That is some very fine prints. Don't think you can do much to fix it. The layer misalignment (in that small scale you have) is because of z-wobble and filament varaition in thinkness (3-5%).
You can try to print one of these and remove your z-axis nuts and spring and put the printed fork with only one nut under your x-ends.
