that would mean that on the digital side you have to invert the signal, I would not do that because then the heater is on when you have 12V power supply and no 5 volt power supply. that is a dangers situation. What you could do is us a digital pin out ( AUX 4 connector ) to directly switch your FET, but you need to have a FET that is "on" at 5V gate voltage.by amigob - Repetier
Dark A. if you did the measurements with the integrated sensor in the heater, then what you are seeing is pretty normal. Adding a head spreader will increase the heat transfer to the glass and that means that the heater can't get to the old temperature. So the question is: did you measure the glass temperature, because that is way more important then the temperature measured in side your heaterby amigob - Developers
That is how it should work because all these board are switching the ground. why are you putting this in the Repetier threadby amigob - Repetier
do you use z-lift with your retraction ?by amigob - Printing
using it to check temperature of the object while printing is an option. Until now I only needed that when I printed thin walls and then I don't think it will work. Just implemented , M703 , call it with a temperature and it will switch the heater to max temperature ( config ) and waits until the bed sensor reaches the requested temperature. And then sets the temperature to requested bed tempby amigob - Developers
and now after 6 minutes not bad about ~ 10 degrees difference Now making a gcode implementation for heating bed to what for IR sensor to reach desired temperature with overruling the set temperatureby amigob - Developers
and now a good one :-) complete measurement takes 1 minute, so bed was still heating upby amigob - Developers
Don't use 50% pwm to run 12 volt components on 24V, the average current will be correct, but not the max current that will be double. Read the manual of the smoothie board if you what to connect different power supplies for different FEt's/functionalities, there are jumpers that need to be removed ( I expect that they are there by default )by amigob - General
And this is how the Chinese are.getting the Change to take a big peace of the marked. All that cant deliver now should not complain later.by amigob - General
What a good night sleep can do I know what is going on. I created a double loop with the moves and the delay and the measurement The problem is that the moves are queued and the delay and measurements not.. I would expect that a function that queues something would have that made clear in the name of the function.by amigob - Developers
and it doesn't ignore them always ???? first line over the Y axes goes now OK, but that is also not always the caseby amigob - Developers
it had full IIR and FIR digital filter, I switched of the IIR now, readings still good, settling time is now 0.1 sec when I reduced the FIR filter, readings where completely wrong -91c I have now the problem that repetier ignores the delay that I added???by amigob - Developers
hahaha, settling time is 4.5sec so all the data is time shifted because of the filter settings full IIR and FIR filters :-)by amigob - Developers
This temperature sensor is ~1cm above the glass plate, it is a contact less sensor, and I agree with the statement that where the object is printed it can easily hold the temperature. I just want to have the starting temperature reproducible. That is now because of the position of the bed temperature sensor not possible. The temperature matrix is just a nice to have feature. But t show also howby amigob - Developers
Mhh found the settling times. by default it would be 0.1 seconds. So I already measure to fast for that. But the sensors I got are not setup with default values ( one critical one was already different my sensors went to PWM mode automatically, by default it should be I2C ), so I need to first check the setting tonight. The setteling time depends on the IIR and the FIR filters. I have read aby amigob - Developers
I will do a very low speed tonight with delay tonight, I can't find anything in the datasheet about the adaption speed of the sensor, instant ?by amigob - Developers
That is why I made the low temperature map, I thought that something influences the measurement from outside ( light ) But in principle the low temperature measurement shows that is not the case. I checked the heater but I couldn't real find that it was loss. I couldn't scan the complete heat bed yet. Because of the dual extruder setup . I couldn't get to all the locations. But that is just sby amigob - Developers
I definitely need to check the adhesion of the heater in the middle of the bedby amigob - Developers
The first scan of the head bed of my Prusa. the heater was heating up, bit I have no explanation for the right bottom corner. here movie it seems that sampling the temperature is so fast that you don't see it in the move. So I can decrease the pitch for a finer grid.by amigob - Developers
Glass is an thermal isolator so the heater needs to do more to get the top at the correct temperature, I put my heater on a 1.5 mm aluminum plate and then I used double sided tap ( carpet tape ) to directly mount the aluminum to my borosilicate glass plate that is sprayed black. I reach 100 degrees when I set the temperature to 110. When moving the Y carrier the temperature goes down again. I amby amigob - Printing
Have them both , measured weight including about 20cm of cable. 14HR05-0504S = 50g 7Ncm 14HR08-0654S = 90g 12 Ncm With a ~1:4.3 and hobbit bolt ( ~ 5-6mm diameter ) ( I use no enclosure yet ) I have the same forced cooling for both steppers. the 7 Ncm works, but I see a lot of steps skipped( I see it even reverse ) more at low speed then at high speed. It also gets reasonably hot ~ 50 degreby amigob - General
Now got it working on Due, I got a new version of twi.c/h and Wire.cpp/h from the github And changing the firmware code a little bit and it works now. So now I have to integrate it in repetier, I am going to use the Wire library although Repetier has made there own versions.by amigob - Developers
sensor : MLX90614 3.3V code is from also from adafruit arduino 1.58 Due Clone brand I don't know, but I know that I2C works with the eeprom on my RADDS. I can't add the delay in between the writes and reads, the clock is not controlled on application level.by amigob - Developers
So I have a simple program that I run on an Arduino pro mini and I get nice answer from the IR temperature sensor and can print this to serial port. And if I look with my scope/logic analyzer I see this. but when I compile and upload it for the due I get this ( no temperature only FF ) I already decreased the speed to 50kHz and 20 kHz, started at 100kHz. The only difference I see is that wiby amigob - Developers
I think that you try ti turn the motors way to fast , so lower the mm/s divided by 10 en try again.by amigob - Reprappers
exhaust isolation : easily to get. Not really :-) tomorrow to wood stoves shop :-)by amigob - Developers
> add a layer of insulation Good idea and will do that. I can only think of one high temperature isolation that I easily can get. That is exhaust isolation. If I remember correctly, they have, with and without adhesive. Did someone already use that stuff to isolate the heater block ?by amigob - Developers
if you are really 0.2 of the bed and you use Z offset of 0.6 and I guess 0.2 layer thickness then you are in total 1mm of the bed for your first layer . with that height nothing will stick. I am less then 0.05 mm from the bed and use 0 offset and 120% over extrude. and then it will stick with 3Dlac so good that it will only gets loose when the bed is ~24c. so in a 4 words ; you are to highby amigob - Printing
I need to see if the ABS will hold it is gong to be very hot there, ah lets see :-) That is he really nice thing about 3D printers, a few hours later and you have a new design ready and printedby amigob - Developers
so sensor mount ready, mount everything to the X carrier tomorrow including cooler setup.by amigob - Developers
