With regards to the seal problem I would imagine that if the main piston is moving up and drawing in the molten plastic then if there is a gap within the plastic (between it and the walls, for example) then it would simply pull in the air, rather than the plastic. Hi, Looking at the 2nd extruder I would be concerned about how much force is required to suck the molten plastic into the main chamber. Also, it assumes the molten plastic in the feed chambers form a complete seal. If any hole forms then the suction formed by the piston's upwards movement would be severly reduced or removed completely. Hi Guillaume It's an interesting idea to use a different shaped nozzle hole. Presuming your sketches are looking at the model from the side I can see how it could improve the look of layers on vertical walls, but I think you will still get "steps" between layers when there is overhang or underhang. Also, you make reference to the original Prusa github project for the unchanged files - I would strongly recommend linking to a definite commit or tag as the files are changing all the time. Hi, I'm not sure how you're planning on using the belts on the Z axis, but it's worth remembering that the threaded rods don't just provide movement, but also holds the X carriage in place between movements and when the Z motors are turned off. Hi, I too have played around with PyPy. The resulting gcode is almost the same - there are always some rounding errors due to floating point arithmetic. (In fact I found that subsequent runs of Skeinforge itself can produce slightly different results due to this, very disconcerting but ultimately harmless at this resolution) I found that the overhead of the PyPy JIT makes it unsuitable for smavon garyhodgson - Skeinforge
