Sorry missed that in the Config.h (Havent used any of that for well over a year so avoid trying to read them if I can)by dougal1957 - Reprappers
That's because your not connected to the printer try changing the Baud rate (Near the Top centre) from 115200 to 250000 I bet they have left the FW at the default of 250000.by dougal1957 - Reprappers
Homing uses the specific files for each axis and are combined when you do all check the Homex.g and compare it to the Homeall.g File think you will find the difference is in the F parameter. I cant tell you what to alter as it appears yours is a cartesian Printer whereas mine is a delta that only uses the Homeall one so not had to even look into the individual ones at all The files can be foundby dougal1957 - Duet
Quotepiglet_74 I had a thought about another problem measurement. For Smoothie, you need to input the horizontal length between the rod end centers. The diagonal is very easy to measure accurately. I couldn't figure out the horizontal though. Had a thought I'm going to try. Assuming my endstops are accurate, I'm going to home the machine. Then lower the effector down to in range of my calipby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Make sure you upgrade the different parts in the correct order (DWC should be the last one to do) So main Firmware then the WiFi server (If applicable) then the DWC if you upgrade the DWC to a version that is not compatible with the FW then you will have to revert to doing it with Bossac or Sam-ba depending on the board HTH Dougby dougal1957 - Duet
Haydn Charged me $27 plus carriage for a set of Balls and Delrin ends and I can't recommend them highly enough they are simply Superb. Yes you can print rod ends but the Machined Delrin ones just ooze Quality and will have lower friction than PLA or ABS Ends they take 10mm Diameter magnets Haydn's preferred ones are 10x15 N50 grade ones. Well worth the expense IMHO only reason I went for the Eby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
the threshold should actually be 500 you see a variance in the DWC due to hysteresis I think mine is and always has been 500 as per DC42's recommendations. Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
I ordered a set of Delrin rod ends and Balls from Haydn and can honestly say his service is second to non (I would have got the arms complete if it wasn't for the fact I need them to be 750 long). think total cost for 12 Balls plus 12 Delrin ends was $27 plus 14 for Airmail postage so $41 total and they arrived in less than a week so well happy (Haydn also included 2 std 3/8 balls to use as partby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Would 60mm spacing be ok for yours or would you want it reducing also the balls would have to be flat as machineing them at 45 Degrees needs better kit then we have Would prob do the Carriages in 3mm ally and bolt on the old style carriers just for the Belt clamps? Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
QuoteDjDemonD Yes I think if I had the metalwork skills myself I'd cut and fold an effector and carriages. I don't but its an idea for sure. How close to vertical do your arms get at any Point. I have got my set of rod ends and balls from Haydn and can safely say the even if the Balls are mounted flat on the Effector and carriage then you can get to 90 degrees arms to center line of the balls sby dougal1957 - Delta Machines

Quotetomasf Yesterday, I attached the heater pad to the aluminium disc using the 300LSE tape. I still don't know if the tape is rated for these kinds of temperatures, but it has worked perfectly for attaching PEI sheets to glass. It seems to work so far, and the bed heats to 65°C in 2 minutes. I also received a 300x300 PEI sheet, which I have painted black (to make it work with IR sensors). Stby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
QuotePeterSimpson Thank you very much for the clarification. It appears that the answer to my very first question is 'yes"!!! All this is of academic interest at present, because I have just discovered that in using the recommended parts for mounting the circuit board, the bottom edge of the circuit board is 5mm above the bottom edge of the printed 'x carriage' part which means that I can't takeby dougal1957 - Ormerod
in step 5 the G30 s-1 will move the head down until the probe triggers this is the Z Height you need to read from either the PanelDUE or the Web interface. Edit for Typo In step 7 it would be G31 Zx.xx P500 where x.xx is the value read after you have issued the G30 S-1 in step 5.by dougal1957 - Ormerod
Ok in that case you want to get your Extrusions from OpenBuilds and use there Wheels it is proper V-Slot and the wheels/rollers work perfectly in them they also go up to 20x80 in size. Openbuilds There gantry plates along with the V-Wheel kits work extremly well you will need 1 excentric spacer per carriage if you use 3 wheels but you can use printed carriage parts as well. But do get the Roboby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
By linear extrusions do you mean the Tee/Vee Slot extrusion or the Linear Slide Rails also where in the world are you there may be some other recommendations for you. I have built one printer that did in fact use the Robotdigg Tee Slot extrusions and they were absolutely fine. but there maybe be something better depending on whether you want to use Linear Rails or Rollers? Mine seems to work just fine (Tho I do tend to use Chrome from my Windows box is there anything in particular that doesn't work (So I can try it just to confirm if it is a machine or Safari issue) Just tried an Edit of the Config.g file and it did what I would expect upload it and ask if a re-boot of the DUET is needed. I am on a DUET WiFi if that makes any difference? Dougby dougal1957 - Duet
Actually I think he meant the Extruded Corner and if so I have built 4 Deltas with them now and they are Very Good indeed. I have been using a set for well over a year now and they are still going strong. Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
It works for me in Safari Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7) on Sierra or at least it connects and can Home OK I am on FW 1.15e and DWC 1.13 RC3 Dougby dougal1957 - Duet

Ah right looks like you are probing in a anti clockwise direction starting halfway between the X and Z Towers and Think this may be your problem Pretty sure you need to probe in a clockwise direction starting from the Z Tower I you go to www.escher3d.com and run DC42's Bed generating wizard that it how it does it and I do know that on a cartesian if you dont do it in a clockwise direction then iby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Can you post your Bed.g file see if there's anything obvious in there? Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Think we croosed over at same time David??by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
The advantage you have with a delta is that the Bed never moves therefore you don't stress the wires at all and as long as you use a Good RCD within your mains supply you should be perfectly safe However it is good practice to make sure all metal parts are earthed as well. Not sure what the Heater Capacity is on the 0.8.5 but even at 15 for the Wifi I don't think I would want to push it that faby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
If the 300 LSE is either 468 or the better 8153 variants then that is fine to attach the heater. I would check what current that heater needs mind and make sure you are within the Spec of the Mosfets on your electronics board. It will draw approx 12.5 amps at 24 Volts A lot of people when going to that size of bed tend to opt for a AC heater and SSR. Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
My method for making the shorter arms is to use some stainless grubscrews screwed into the rod ends (Not fo adjustment mind just to give a good surface for the glue) I think the mugen ends are for M3 and then you can use some 5od 3 id Carbon tube into which you can glue the grubscrew mounted rod end? This should give a stiffer rod than 3mm Carbon rod. You may be able to find it at a Good RC Modby dougal1957 - Fisher
Quoteo_lampe My RADDS-Delta is running on 24V, but the resistor in the diamond hotend is made for 12V. It is shorter than the regular heater elements, too. ( 15mm instead of 20mm ) What are my options now? Use PWM to reduce max power to the 12V heater? How do I do that in RepRapFirmware? Use a common 20mm/24V heater which would stick out? How do I keep it from melting the effector / fanshroud?by dougal1957 - Reprappers
DJ I have found a localish supplier of magnets and can get 8mm dia x 8 long N42 with 2.5kG pull think that should do the job or there are plenty at 6dx10 long say with approx 1kG pull which may be safer. They are about £1 each but in batches of 10. Magnets and they are about 20 miles from me so can collect them. What size are the ones on the K800 system? Dougby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
QuoteGroupB I dont know where hayden put his magnet but if its in the carbon tube so tube make contact with balls (you said you need bigger one) you should avoid that. Having a proper cup made of nylon is a must and no need to have a cup surrounding the ball perfectly a 60 degree cone shape will do the trick , just calculate them with the right deep so the ball touch or even go through the backby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
I'm thinking maybe use the Robot Digg alloy Effector and carriages with the balls mounted to them will have to do some experimenting to see what range of movement I would get by doing that think it could work quite well I'll mock one up with a printed effector (to use what I have) before commiting to purchasing some of Haydn's ball and delrin ends only thing is that I think I will need some biggeby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
