It occurs to me that one option would be to use the 2nd fan output on the Duet 0.8.5 to control the servo. You could use a diode and pullup resistor to produce a 3.3V or 5V signal from it. The PWM duty cycle and frequency can both be set using the M106 command (with P1 parameter to select the second fan output), so you can deploy and retract the probe by putting appropriate M106 command

the pb is : is there a pin available for a signal for a servo (ie pwm signal 20ms period 1-2ms width) i can easily adapt the level and most small rc servo can work with a 3.3V signal and use 5V for power
but I don't know if there is pin available when the extension board is plugged in, and if there is a servo primitive for the due as with tha arduino mega (if yes it is quite easy to add a comma

good morning,
i'm considering buying a duet and extension to add to my home made (very) big prusa mendel . iI intend to use the kraken multi extruder from E3D so I need these multi extruder option
I would like to use as in marlin an servo output to automatise the auto level procedure at the beginning of each print.
is there servo output on the duet or extension card, and is there a way to do th

i've got that in the gcode file:

I'm very pleasd by the new version
the print quality is realy improved without changing anything in configuration
my prints are as smooth as a baby skin instead of an acneic teenager
well done !
so far not big pb found , test going on

at the end it work !
but it is only to see the STL file, not realy useful ! i thought it was a way to look at the gcode paths

how could you think it is possible to print thin wall 0.1 mm wide with a 0.3 nozzle ? there is no way you coud print it !
your wall need to be at least as wide as your nozzle (and twice large is better ! then you have to specify 0.299 wide for the perimeters to cheat on slice and get consistent 2 perimeters)

I still would like to know why the other method didn't work.
because you have some surfaces inside the volume which make a faulty stl when exported
in sketchup choose the wireframe view and inspect your cube you wil see a lot of surfaces inside the volume
use the eraser tool to erase the useless lines and you will get a clean part to export
there is some free pugin to ver

which old driver?
if it worked with pololu or the same A4988 but not with the tb6550 the only difference is the pulse width which must be greater for the tb6550 (a lot ! ) see the spec in the data sheet

Firmware - mainstream and related support
instead of led use an ear plug from your mp3 , even short impulse will give you sound.
may be with teacup you have the same pb than use to be with marlin : too short impulse

it would be great to have it implemented as a plugin for slic3r
still don't know how to do it :-/

back on the topic after a reinstall
with win 7 and python 2.7.7 i got the same error if i try to specify min max temp
pb whit numeric/str type for the variables ? (i'm not a python specialist )
it work anyway thank you

which firmware do you use ? if it is marlin it is a known bug, the fan is not buffering so the start stop is not synch with the bridging

hello !
I would like a lot a post processor for slic3r (with the instructions how to install it on windows install )
thank you a lot for the script
what do you think of the small change to work with hopping ?
remplace
if newZ != z:
z = newZ
with
if newZ > z:
z = newZ
thank you again

can't make the thing work
win 7
python 2.7.3
open the command window
cd i: (that's where the woody.py and stl files are)
I write :
I:\>Wood.py -h -i coupler_slic3rl.gcode -o coupler_slic3rWood.gcode -n 190 -x 24
0
and I get :
Wood.py -h -g -i -o -n -x
I:\>
and no gcode generated
I must do something wrong, i'm not used to use python on win 7 (not at all in fact)
thank you

yes but as hop is barely over 0.5 or 1 mm, it means only the temp change will be the hop high sooner not a big deal i think as it is purely cometic that's not a dimensional pb ( and even if the temp change in the middle of a layer, what's wrong with that ?

may be only need to change
if newZ != z:
z = newZ
with
if newZ > z:
z = newZ
like that it will write the m104 s(temp) at each time the z lift to a new upper value
by

Slic3r
for use with hop enable may be it is possible to apply the change at the first level occurence
so the temp change will be applyed at the high + hop amount
not a big deal because there is no need for a real precision it is just a cosmetic plugin
thank you
by the way hox to use the script for non programming aware user ?

I had the same conceptual pb with the preloaded nuts for the Z axes
so for my printer I designed the system as on the picture
the nut support the z carriage and the spring keep it in place
but in case of collission the nut just pop out the hexagonal hole and nothing wrong happens
one the bright side there is only one nut which decrease the friction (even with brass nut less friction is bette

I don't think it is very difficult to write a script which parse the Gcode and add the command M104 SXXX function of the height print
could be done in perl I think

Controllers
I already asked in slic3r issues list ( ) if it could be possible to change a bit the cooling option for ABS
unfortunatly alex dismiss the question
but I have to go further and i will explain why
when you enable the cooling the fan is started at slow speed from the beginning for all the parts
whith ABS you get a furious amount of warp.
with ABS you only need to slow down for the small part

sorry for the delay
look like marlin could be a good choice easy to compile and transfer to the mega
and pronterface is a good software (i uses these easely)
you could get pronterface for windows with build in slic3er

could be a good idea to post your setting you use with the 6560 for the next one who step on the pb
thank you
(the pololu are quite enough for my small prusa for now -and myhot end surely can't work at that speed !)

in the upper part of the body there is no infill over the holder hole as in the pict, only the external shell
a bug ?
