Hi Fella I don't know myself I got mine going eventually when I got lcd going, use this as a guide if not work look for a diff version of soft wareby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi Hlias Did you get it sorted, if not to me it looks like you have too much extrusion and poss moving too fast also and also I start printing at 190 for first layer then drop it to 189. I know its not much but you make little changes at a time. Also my bed is 70 for first lyer then I up to 75 or 80 to minimize shrinkage . hope this helps fellaby sloppyprinter - Printing
Quotepolyglot I think this thread should be a collection of common print faults in the wiki, perhaps this one here could be extended with new photos as problems crop up? This is one useful web site all newbies need to read this before they do anythingby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi change to .2 layer height and slow your speedby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi I don't know why but Where are you guys ????? im in leeds England, at some point it would be good if we could all help each other out here. nothing better than to see it in action just sayingby sloppyprinter - Printing
I think you prob is its too close now, seems like its jamming up before you have even beginby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi yes ya right of course im not saying that everything from the site is not by a long way its a good site , just that the stuff I have downloaded and tried to use didn't work or broke. I still have stuff I need to print that I have downloaded, but my point were if you need something special its best to do it ya self than find the one you printed isn't quite rightby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi I have downloaded stuff of this site myself and nearly everyone was crap, i.e. I downloaded the minion goggles for my son, it took 12 hours to print with support. when it were finished I when to break out the support and thing broke in two and it looked crap anyway with the layering .so I designed my own to print from the lens up or face down if you like took about 14 hours to print at .2 mm hby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi fella. I got prusa i3 too and managed to get it sorted just checking stuff out on you tube and wiki. look on you tube for setting up your extruder. any more questions give as much detail as poss fella .. i.e. abs, pla heat temps feed rates all that stuff, takes a lot of tweaking but you get there in a bit of timeby sloppyprinter - Printing
QuoteWaltermixx @Btyder, yes I know that one, that is the same one I bought... I was not refering to the Folger Prusa i3 kit... (I started this thread... ) I was refering to the kit that sloppyprinter purchased on ebay... Here ya go fellaby sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteWaltermixx Where did you get it? Hi Waltermixx this is the guys I got it from on ebay rptechworksby sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteSteue This kit looks very interesting, I am researching my 1st printer, and have been recommended to get a mendel90. this will cost me about £600 with tax. looking on E bay this kit is less than half that, not sure what tax i might have to pay as I live in England, they have sold 110 now. what would you guys advise me, are there any cons to getting this printer? Thanks in advance Steve I paiby sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotebuildit Fantastic!! thanks Sloppyprinter. that is a great help. (hopefully will solve my woes.) Ya Welcome fella let me know if ya get it sorted.by sloppyprinter - General

QuoteWaltermixx Quotesloppyprinter Hi how do you find the people that you have commented on lol . anyhow I got some pics of mine now . not sure I understand the above? was this directed at me? if so please explain... I dont get it... I'm guessing it was meant to be funny, which is cool, I'm not offended, just a bit thick and I dont get the reference? If not directed at me, then that might expby sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants

Hi I got the same problem at the mo with the same settings, ive tried it at 200 and been setting the bed at 70 to start for first layer then 75 after to stop contraction seems to work for that.as far as I can tell at the mo, which I need to do myself is its the speed and temp of the extruder. I think for mine I need to get fan sorted to blow directly on extruder then I think 200 and increase in sby sloppyprinter - Printing
Hi dooms101. I could not tell ya fella what the extruder is im new to this myself it came with the kit and I have tried to find spec on that but cant. just direct drive of course im not even sure what size it is .4 or .5. that's how bad the service was from where I got it,by sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi I got my wiring diagram from wiki, had no problem wiring it up. hope that helps I also have melzi boardby sloppyprinter - Reprappers

Hi Fella, Sorry I took so long been busy and got faulty usb on comp lol. heres what ive done with mine in the few month I have had mine.by sloppyprinter - Reprappers
Hi mine is very similar to yours and I had the same problems no instruction or service for mine and they made me wait like 6 weeks before they sent it out. I ended up building it just from the pic on ebay, mine has the melzi board much more plug and play than the ramps id say. ill have to take a pic and show you. there is a lot of stuff for ramps. wiki is good for stuff too. have you got the progby sloppyprinter - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Fella Good job man looks good, I Had a lot of problems from my supplier , got mine running of lcd now but still a lot to learn when I can get on it . Hey do you know how to stop the layers splitting, not had it till recently so im not sure whats wrong, any ideas .by sloppyprinter - Reprappers
Hi good drawing you don't mess about. but don't think this can work. what about all the filament going into one extruder, yes you would need more motors but only one motor is running at any one time and extruder could move on its own, it would be normal weight. what do you think of thisby sloppyprinter - Reprappers
Hi I use melzi, its my first printer comes with preinstalled software and there are some issues but I have had no issues with it the mofsets are a prob for some because of high temps and current, I been using pla and its fine, you can get melzi boards for like fifty pound that's about 80 dollars id say. I would buy another melzi , they are like plug and play great for starters hope it helps fellby sloppyprinter - Reprappers
hi guys give some feed back here, I am pretty new to this but got to grips with it pretty fast. when I print things that have support its stuck to the object im printing is there a way to print the support without it sticking the object im printingby sloppyprinter - Reprappers
