What would the build volume dimensions be ? The possible height seems a bit little. Not sure about the scale of that picture then.by DeuxVis - General

You should use silicon compound to make it stick into its hole in the heating alu (or is that brass in V9 ?) block. Something like this I suppose :by DeuxVis - General Mendel Topics

You could just invert your motor connections, invert the 2 pairs : 1 2 3 4 --> 3 4 1 2by DeuxVis - General Mendel Topics
Never had that problem, although I also have a techzone electronic board (monotronics, it uses that tip manager child board too). I would check with a multimeter that your assertion (connector acting weird) is true. Move the cable around during measure to reproduce the vibrations, etc. It will be a load of work, given all the connections to test, but I don't see any other way to get sure...by DeuxVis - Controllers
Check the nichrome and the thermocouple have no shorts with a multimeter (resistance measure). Visual inspection is not enough from my experience (also with techzone huxley). If the heater nichrome is disconnected but the temp still go up when you press "heat on", it probably means your thermocouple is getting some current from the heating circuit (it can act as a heater itself, only it will diby DeuxVis - Huxley

Fine, yes it's a toogle and you must still use the other button. The fact that the main button is a toogle itself doesn't help getting it I reckon.by DeuxVis - RepSnapper
I'm sorry I'm not sure to understand what you mean, even after watching the video. Could you elaborate on what you consider "not moving stable" please ? Are the layers shifting in the X direction ?by DeuxVis - Controllers
Works for me, may be related to your electronics/firmware ? I use techzone monotronics (with their custom firmware). Does it turn in the normal direction when you use reverse, or not move at all ?by DeuxVis - RepSnapper

Where did you get your kit ? What kind of hot end is it ? If you don't know, do you have pictures ?by DeuxVis - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Yes, especially if speed of building is a key, go for the Prusa Mendel instead. Spend some time around wiki and forums before buying anything, compare, ponder, and then go !by DeuxVis - Reprappers
Is that techzone electronics ? On that, 2511 is what you get when the hotend control card is not connected to main board (by that pseudo ethernet cable). If it was only the thermocouple disconnected, you'd get the room temperature.by DeuxVis - Huxley
Yes, the clear one in the sample pack you sent me was very brittle, to the point it would break under extruder pressure inside my bowden cable (got a Huxley). I solved it by doubling the length of the bowden tube (greater arc => less flexing). Apart from that it is a very good product - oh yes also it tends to warp a little printing big parts, but I'll retest that once all my temperature setby DeuxVis - For Sale
To get back to the main topic, I only used mendel-parts.com services once (like, one month ago) for some hot end parts, tools and materials, and was perfectly happy with them. No extra delay, everything here, etc.by DeuxVis - General
Nice, thanks.by DeuxVis - For Sale
That's around 120 €. Fair price, especially with postage included ! Thanks for the answer.by DeuxVis - For Sale
Is that 160 Aus. $ ?by DeuxVis - For Sale
Greg, can you give us the price you sold the first ones (and shipping cost with destination if you feel super nice) please ? I'd understand if you don't want to tell, am just curious about market value of those beauties.by DeuxVis - For Sale
This is similar to mendel-parts V5 hot-end, isn't it ?by DeuxVis - For Sale
I can confirm they deliver plastics, and it works in a reprap (quick test only until now). Fast delivery despite of distance (less than a week from china to france). I'll complete Andrew's review when I have done more extensive testing - and if I have anything to add.by DeuxVis - For Sale

I think the effectiveness can be achieved with all of those, depends on the time and sweat you spend on settings. I would say the price should be inversely proportional to build difficulty, but the RepRap Prusa Mendel seems fairly simple to build actually, and is probably the cheapest solution especially if you take the time to get the parts from different sources (all in one kit is not the cheaby DeuxVis - General
